Great to watch you guys shining shoes together. I’m a regular on both the channels. Would’ve loved to see a close up of the browns after the burgundy treatment, but I guess Preston wasn’t happy with his result on the mirror shine. Keep the series going, it’s a lot of fun and a great learning experience.
You gentlemen are awesome. Love both of your channels and learn a lot from you. Thank you for this great tutorial and in general for your dedicated work.
Kirby, how about inviting Trenton & Heath from Potter&Sons for shoeshine sundays? They absolutely love shoes in all their aspects. I think there would be a nice chemistry between you guys.
And now I’m going to sound like a massive dork! Haha. I like to get my shoe shine kit out and go over some of my shoes whilst watching these videos as if I’m joining in! Haha 🤦🏻♂️
You two gentlemen make me feel so lazy. Just today I dumped some dubbin on a pair of slip-ons and some Kiwi Quick Shine on the heels. The four shoes, in the video, look fantastic and I admire you so much.
Thanks to both of you for another great collaboration video. I was wondering if the brushes you were using in the video are the large or medium Wellington Horsehair brushes?
What a great video!👍👌😍 Two of my favourite channels at the moment - this one was better than the first time. Great work on the shines and good chat - make another one soon 🤞
New subscriber here, really enjoying your content, looking forward to watching just about everything you put out. I just found Preston not to long before coming here, his channel is how I discovered this channel. He mentioned Allen Edmonds, I then saw a video where you compared a number of shoes which included a pair of Allen Edmonds. Both of you guys have great content. Thanks and congratulations to you both.
Hi Kirby and Preston, Another awesome shine video - I never started mirror shining until I watched y’all’s videos. Now I’m completely addicted with the end product. I do have a question for both: What are y’alls “schedule”/routine for when y’all maintain the mirror shine or decide to strip the mirror shine? For example, after how many wears, or a length of time? Thanks and keep up the amazing content!
I have a pair of light brown Allen Edmonds with a dark bloch that seems to worsen with any moisture. I have tried many approaches to removing it and it just doesn't go away. So I am all too familiar with this defect and I too, have no idea what is the cause behind the defect.
Kirby, I have an old Tumi soft-sided leather briefcase that needs some care. It has a few scuffs, but mainly I want to bring out the original finish. Which product(s) should I order?
Leo Morales hi there From his videos, it seems like he uses acetone, like nail polish remover, it strips of everything, but watch his video on restoring ruined shoes first, before atempting it yourself, his Channel is, the elegant Oxford.
Kirby: I have recently bought a pair of Goodyear welted shoes that do not have any sort of traction on the bottom. Would you recommend adding a strip for traction or letting them naturally get scuffed up to gain traction? Fresh out of the box they are super slippery to walk in. Thanks for your help! Keep up the great work.
With dying to dark brown, I read that you are supposed to dye with a light green first to neutralize the red undertones that give you that burgundy color. That said, I've never tried it myself.
I really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot. The only thing I have to offer is a suggestion on the use of the word “whenever.” “Whenever” is usually used for repeating events (or if the if the time is uncertain) , and “when” for a unique event. A trick is s to replace “whenever” with “each time that...” and see if it sounds right.
Great stuff! What are y'alls thoughts on Cobbler Union shoes? I've seen Hugo J speak highly of them... just wondering what your thoughts are on this US-made brand. Thanks!
I believe they are Spanish-made, really good quality though, I see a lot of recommends. Whether or not you feel Spanish-made deserve that kind of money without the name Carmina is up to you though.
All you need to do in order to get good at shining shoes is join the military and go through basic training. I sat doing this exact thing on my boots almost every day.
you guys do not put the wax on in circles you do it in back and forth movements. In the military we were taught to make circles when polishing. any comments?
To tell the truth, I can’t imagine paying someone that kind of money to shine my shoes, but I’m probably one of the few men around who still shines his shoes. I don’t want to take any food off of your table, but I’d like to know what kinds of shine products you’re using are.
Marlen Brown hi there If you want to know more, go watch Kirby Allens video, on how to care and shine a new pair of shoes before wearing them, he tells all about the products, and how and why!!👞😃👍🏼
I love this kind of videos but there is a point that i can't undestand. For me is not allowed To sine shoes dressed with white shirt and wearing a jacket. I'm thoroughly convinced that I'd ruin it when Brushing the shoes...
These guys must be getting paid by Allen Edmonds the amount of times they mention his shoes. Are there no other shoe manufacturers in the USA that could benefit from mentioning their name too ? 🤨
Loll “so much fun having you here in the ware...in the studio again”

Good chemistry. Enjoyable to watch and learn.
These two guys brings out the best of echeother that is a good thing.
I can’t believe I just watched a half an hour video on shoe shining
Don't punish yourself. I have been doing this for the last 12 months 2 - 3 times a week.
Amateur.
You gentlemen are awesome.
Love both of your channels and learn a lot from you.
Thank you for this great tutorial and in general for your dedicated work.
I had to like this even before I watched. Thanks guys I was not disappointed.
Kirby, how about inviting Trenton & Heath from Potter&Sons for shoeshine sundays? They absolutely love shoes in all their aspects. I think there would be a nice chemistry between you guys.
I know I'm kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Rylan Gideon i watch on FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
@Hector Otis Yup, I've been using Flixzone for since april myself :)
@Hector Otis thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it!
@Rylan Gideon no problem :D
Am I the only one that finds this video relaxing? Just takes me away from my work troubles....
How did I only find this... spectacular
Great shoe shine time. Two awesome guys working together. Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.
And now I’m going to sound like a massive dork! Haha. I like to get my shoe shine kit out and go over some of my shoes whilst watching these videos as if I’m joining in! Haha 🤦🏻♂️
You are not the only one...
I would have loved to see the final result on both pairs. Particularly the tones on the black one.
Me too
i watched all the three collaboration videos...one thing is clear...KIRBY is a BEAST...No one can shine more than him in shoe shining...
I love your videos with Preston! So relaxing!
Wonderful video - best company! Superb result with the time given!
I cannot believe Preston did not insist on putting in Shoe Trees, that is Step 1 on all his videos! :)
Thank you so much for your videos. I have learned a lot and believe it or not shine my shoes as a stress relief.
Haha I have a conference call on Mondays that I listen to while watching you guys shine shoes
This is an awesome crossover!
This was very relaxing
I'm glad I'm not the only person chasing the dragon when it comes to getting a perfect shine. I'm literally never satisfied :(

@25:30 - "Heat, pressure..." time to make another diamond, Kirby!
Thanks to both of you for another great collaboration video. I was wondering if the brushes you were using in the video are the large or medium Wellington Horsehair brushes?
nice work, thank you both for posting this video.
What a great video!👍👌😍 Two of my favourite channels at the moment - this one was better than the first time. Great work on the shines and good chat - make another one soon 🤞
Love the team up, gents!
Are those brown shoes still available for purchase? Where would I find them?
What color cream polish do you like with Allen Edmonds tan shoe?
What we’re the exact colours used from sapphir on the brown shoe & also the black shoe? Great video! Was a pleasure to watch

This is a fantastic Video
Yey, its Preston!!!
Nice work guys. Kirby, can you snatch the pebble from Preston's hand, grasshopper?? lol.

EO wins the shiniest head contest!!!!

How do you remove Allen Edmonds factory finish?
Leo Morales hi there
From his videos, it seems like he uses acetone, like nail polish remover, it strips of everything, but watch his video on restoring ruined shoes first, before atempting it yourself, his Channel is, the elegant Oxford.
What?! No final showcase of the shoes?!
I liked the contrast and patina on the brown shoes at the end. A pity you didn't do a close up on them as well as the black ones.

I see Campari in the background. Does he do a lot of Negronis or boulvardiers?
Hi guys, I just wonder about Preston suit. Looks great, could you please give us some info about it? Thanks.
love it too, I have a similar loro piana overcoat, a bit darker - absolutely love it.
“I just enjoy my shammy(chamois)” classic
Why don't they use liquid polish considering its ease of use? Is there a good reason behind it
Brown can get such deept, but black is nice to when cared for.
What is the best color to use on burgundy shoes
In the spirit of good fun I was expecting one of you at the end to cry out 'Here's Johnny!!!!' Very scary indeed......
Preston says “right” like a thousand times lol
Is that a sovereign grade tie with an old Bertie knot that Preston is wearing?!?
😉
Nice AF 👍

“Nothing you do once is going to be permanent.” I like that
except for the fact that it cannot be undone...
How to Meditate very true indeed
Always the promoter, Kirby doesn't shut up long enough for Preston to speak.

Absolutely agree!

i think you should have shown the before and after of those two pairs before ending the video
You guys are not sweating. I had a bead of sweat hit my cap toe while attempting a “glass toe” effect. Doh!
What’s should I do now?
U don't have to put water then😂
@@denning2781 sweat shine lol

They should each have polished a brown shoe and a black shoe, then presented the results at the end.
not into dress shoe at all but you got me shining my only pair haha. need more practice and good quality wax though
The mirror gloss wax is too much of an annoyance; specially when stripping shoes down, this wax is is so stubborn to come off.
Some. Thing. About. The. Bald. Head. Of. This. Guy. !!! It. Compliments. The. Mirror shine. So. Well. !!!
Guys Shh dont give shoe brands any ideas charging more for large sizes! Im a 13E
Preston needed a microphone

This is all about crapy saphir and crapy Allen edmonds shoes that has defects and flaws unlike any other shoe brand
