Question: Do you think I could use an embroidery hoop to keep a section taut while painting a long shirt? Can I use one without stretching my shirt out of shape?

I think so. The problem is the fabric gets wet and droops then touches the table top and the paint then pools and leaves marks. So if you could tip the hoop on a box that would help. It could stretch it’s according to the fabric that you’re trying to paint. I would think if you didn’t pull it too tight it would be better sorry I haven’t painted on shirts.

    Okay what kind of fabric?

Prepared for dying fabric. I buy it from Kona but I’ve also bought muslin that has worked as well. I didn’t like it as much because when I sprayed water on it, it beaded up.
