    Oh my gosh. I have been wanting to do a sea themed wall hanging for the longest time. I just have not identified what methods to use, and I love the idea of a combined paint, quilt and fabric piece. This has given me some really good ideas. This is pretty cute, really enjoyed your process. Thanks for sharing.

    I have tons of crafting stuff. But your room is more original than mine. But I do know where much of it is...🤣😄

    I would love to know more about the viscosity of the paint to prevent it from 'bleeding' as well as the different types and sizes of brushes used. Great Video. Thank you.

      I would follow the instructions for mixing on the bottle of the fabric medium....each brand is different and I had no bleeding :)

    Question: Can I use an embroidery hoop to keep a section taut while painting? Can I use one without stretching my shirt out of shape?

    This is so cool! Another printing option would be to have an office supply store print it out on blueprint sized paper that way you're not having to cut and tape together.

    Very cool! If you have additional paint left and old empty medicine bottles you can keep your paint in the bottles

    I don't know if anybody asked but is your friction pis friction pin the kind that if the quilt gets cold the pin marks shows again. Many pens I find when the quilt gets cold the color comes back

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      my understanding is that most if not all Frixion pens can come back if exposed to cold....like 40 degrees and below, I may be wrong :) Fortunately most quilts won't be exposed to that inside the house however I can see how that may be an issue if stored away somewhere without temperature control....or maybe shipped somewhere.

    Lisa did sewing the outline first help with the colours not spreading?

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really :) the acrylic I'm using isn't that runny to spread either way.

  • @lindabrown2868

    When doing it this way does the paint not go through to the backing?
