I want to see the whole city experience - cars, traffic, horns, shops, sidewalks, billboards, parks and ability to go inside buildings and along streets with my 3rd Person model - a big ask I know! But this pack looks very good!

Kitbash3d have a massive cities packs , including Tokyo and cyberpunk styles and many more, check it out, and also there is huge packs on turbo squad. My problem is I have no idea on how to import it to unrel optimized .

    • @lz4090

@@hashemieada4846 kitbash3d have really good architectures. The problem is that it so detailed and very high poly, so its really not optimized. But you can decimate the models for lower poly in your 3d software or even inside ue4. This pack is so optimized and modular that when combined with quixel materials you can basically generate a lot of variation

@@lz4090 thanks sir for the reply, I found alot of cities packs on various sites and its yet a very high poly is there any method to make it easier to work with on game engine? And the Uvs do I need to re do it again? Am kind of new to game engines and have many questions.

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@hashemieada4846 For what it's worth, Unreal has some auto LOD features in meshes. But honestly just look up optimization itself, courses for mobile and shaders both tend to cover it if that helps. But to some degree it does leave you at a modeler's mercy on the very basics.

Check some quixel videos. I've seen how a cyberpunk scene can be perfectly done with quixel's megascans. Combine those assets with this pack and you'll see that is not necessary to look for other packs.

Amazing work as usual. As tempted as I am to say what kind of man-made building themes I'd love to see, I'd love to actually see networks more, such as a complex road/highway network for towns & cities, railroad network, & sidewalk networking - all of which have stations, tunnels, street lights, benches, and so on. Textures can be customized so designers can use textures to fit any theme and era. They would be something that can work with nearly all your future man-made themes & would be a must-buy for designers like me. I'm probably going over my head but you get the idea. :)

For the sky I'll probably wait for 4.26, you have seen what the new volumetric clouds and new atmosphere can do.
As a suggestion I want to go for something like small towns, so you can combine this big city idea, on a huge map with some villages. From there you can fill in the rest with forests, mountains and desserts. Combining all the brushify assets and create fast open world to explore alone or with friends online. The limit is the sky? I don't think so, because you can also make a complete moon. My mind is running wild.
What a time to be alive!

    • @SanneBerkhuizen

  • @brianmi40
    @brianmi40 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The next step will be adding in full randomization:
    - alter the building heights (random number of floors, etc.), geometry (number of roof tiers, etc.), more skins (100s, size of windows, etc.)
    - coming up with standard footprint sizes for buildings where they can be randomly placed for uniqueness (in the video after copying the "block" of buildings, press a randomize key to change locations and items above for a completely new random block) and an intelligent algorithm to deal with varying building sizes by having a number of small "filler" items on the ready, like small parks, dog walking park, vendor kiosks, etc.
I can see we are headed to an Unreal future where artist/techs will specialize in various assets (bodies, clothing, aliens, buildings, landscapes, AI logic, etc.) much like they do on DAZ3D already and you'll be able to buy these and assemble a game in no time. A bit after that, and we'll have completely random entire games, something like the seeds used in games now, but Unreal version 12 or so will let you set some parameters (setting: Wild West, alien world, etc.) and a style of game (PVP, PVE, survival, strategy, FPS, top down, etc.) and push a button and generate an entire random game which you can then share the best seeds with others.
The future is so bright we need Unreal glasses...
The one I'm waiting for is future AI being able to generate a new TV show, or movie, in any historical style: e.g. a new episode of Star Trek New Generation, Serenity, or even a movie from a Stephen King book. It will review all the prior episodes/genre works as examples of the types of script plots, create digital images of all the actors, review fan fiction, etc. and generate a script which it then digitally generates the episode/movie from AI versions of the actors.... I have a LONG list of shows to make new episodes of!

Hey Joe, firstly this looks great! very interesting for me as a concept designer, but also as someone interested in the gamedev side of things.
I would assume you have though of this, but I would suggest Base packs short term like this one here and then Specialist packs to complement them long term.
i.e modern city base pack, then specialist pack that focuses on something specific (perhaps 'industry pack', bridges/shipyard/factory etc.)
This way creators can always utilise Brushify to set up their landscapes and cities and then add their own/paid hero assets, or indeed get some from your specialist packs.
As for my pick, perhaps a base pack that covers Ancient Euro or Eastern styles. So you could customise a base ancient city, adding hero assets as needed, or from a specialist pack you could release later.
Also sci-fi is obviously a strong option.
Looking forward to where you will take this.

As others have mentioned, I'd definitely love to see other city environments. Personally, my top choices would be Victorian or Art Deco, or even a unique blending of between the two.

I use your brushify assets as my entire landscape painting setup b/c i'm not going to do an elaborate layer system myself, have to say it works great (my game is in an urban setting).

Would love to get an updated video for Unreal 5.3 talking about how to use this pack with the new features in 5.3 or higher. I'm very excited about the Brushify Smart Brush System and these packs. I'm hoping they really speed up my scene generating workflow. Especially the customization options are interesting as you showed towards the end of the video. Thank you.

I would LOVE a UK based theme. so UK phone boxes (modern ones not just the old ones) but like UK houses 2 up 2 down style. lots of modular neighbourhood on the market but they are all detached USA style.

Ancient buildings would be perfect, as you could implement that alongside your other packs.
If someone buys yours forest pack for example, the ancient pack would be something that might be bought as well as they could both be used together quite well

I would like to see a suburban neighborhoods pack, with styled houses from the last 40-60 years of architecture. 50's styled houses are much different from the 80's then 2000's. It would also be useful to your big city, and country roads pack, to integrate these in between.

Medieval architecture would be moist. Castle towers, long running walls, stairwells, actual-wells, all that tasty shit. Also, I've never made a level before but I'm planning on getting into it, but something I've noticed is a lot of cities/villages/etc in games tend to be flat and orderly, which isn't really how cities be IRL, they're more often unintuitive and sprawl over different elevations due to their multi-generational and iterative construction. I'm not sure where I've going with this, but it would be cool to see these factors reflected in the tools somehow.

Yup, medieval Europe is so different from the typical American city blocks. Dont worry I would take that into account.

i think it would be nice if you did two things:
    - expand the country roads to just be as many types of roads as possible, with as many types of intersection types as possible.
    - houses, buildings, interiors. modular, procedural. import autocad architecture files into houses
