    I'm 24 and a Professional Dancer. My mom always used to love these workouts so I thought to give it a try when I stumbled upon this video. Can I say I am PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at how engaging these simple movements can be for your ENTIRE body. The true definition of timeless fitness, I will definitely be incorporating this into my normal conditioning routine!!

    I'm 31, dealing with depression. I needed something light and fun that I could to get me into working out again , and this is exactly what I needed! Jane is so nice and fun and all she explained through out the video encouraged me to keep on going. Thanks for the video!

    I had Jane’s original video in the early 80’s & exercised with her workouts. Here I am almost 40 years later exercising to another Jane Fonda workout. Fun & great for this Covid era when it is unsafe to go to the gym even if it’s open.

      Oh yes. I got in shape and lost weight with Jane in the early 80’s to fit into my mother’s wedding gown. I’m 70 now and rediscovered her videos on TH-cam. Even though I still have my original VHS tapes I don’t have a player and they are so delicate. She is the queen. I have never had a sore muscle after doing her exercises. I just love this lady❣️

    I used to do her workouts back in the 80's when I was a teenager - leotard and leg warmers - the whole deal. I'll start this one tomorrow now that I am 50. Love her!

      Yeah, I did most of her workouts in the 80s too. My favorite was her New Workout. The one with Leslie Lilien singing, "Do It"! I LOVE that workout.

      Me too, i lived in Italy and my parents bought her book, i was the only one who studied it and practiced years and years....US seemed so far, there was no internet and then all became close and so friendly, nice and interesting....lovely 80's....

    Three years ago, a week before COVID I was simply unable to continue working due to pain in my front groin, not knowing what it was until 10 months later when America was allowed to go back to the Dr. I found I have osteoarthritis.
    My son encouraged me to keep moving "mom you gotta get up and move" so together my son, my dog and I walked, at first it was only a short block but eventually it became a mile then two.
    Then winter hit and I didn't want to loose my forward progress.
    I ran across this particular video.
    I continued my exercises through the Winters thanks to you.
    Now I'm 12 pounds lighter and I dont feel like I'm dying everytime I take a step, eventually I will have a hip replacement (but not yet)
    I am so thankful for you and your encouragement of others to be better.

    I wish you were a friend of mine because I feel a connection having listened to your encouragement for so long.
    I wish you well Jane and I thank you.

      I have a new pup, our dog who helped start this adventure had to be euthanized the summer after COVID, cancer sucks. Ty

    Hi Jane, I was with you in the past from the ages of 33 to 40, doing your Advanced aerobics three times a week at the gym.Then I got married and had a baby at age 42 and never exercised again for 25 years,except for walking which I do daily.
    This led to a 50 pound weight gain because I love butter and sugar.
    I'm going to be 69 next month and I've come back to you,starting with this tape which I love and have done for 2 weeks now. You truly are an old friend.
    I promise I'll never leave you again, you deserve much credit for all that you do❤😁

      I am in Italy and I’m 72. I can do these and find it refreshing not to do workouts with20/30 year old instructors. I also put on ABBA and dance through the house. It raises your spirit. We are in lockdown since 3 March. We can all get through this if we put the needs of others first.

      @@lesleywall4186 I am in Italy too right now. My 2 Zumba instructors who are doing "live" transmissions are both in their late 40s. I was actually taking class with them around 2012/13 and I quit Zumba in 2015. I'm back doing it because of lockdown and because I know my teachers. I have a lot of respect for Jane Fonda's body of work.

    2 years ago I "discovered " you as a gym instructor....I was at a very bad phase in my life with a shattered heart after 35 years of marriage..I became physically sick,lost my hair,put on weight. ..and I found this specific video of yours...now...I am crying ....because you will never know what your kindness, the softness of your voice, the "keep going",the "one more" when I couldn't anymore...have done for me...2 years later I have lost weight ,I run and walk everyday,I eat healthy,I look after myself,put on makeup,I smile more,I had my hair cut really short "à la garçon"..I look ten years younger ...I have been told. ...and you started it,put me in the right path...I love you and I will be for ever grateful. .😊

    I have been caregiver for my Alzheimer husband for years.     Hi Jane, I am only 37, but my highest weight was 286 lbs and now I am down to 205 lbs. I am finding this video very helpful in my journey towards getting to a healthy weight.     Jane Fonda has always been my favorite exercise instructor. I love the way she has embraced her older age and limitations that come with it - not being embarrassed about it, but instead helping all of us to deal with our age and stay fit as well.       From what I gathered from her autobiography these workouts helped her lose weight and lose her marriage! Spending too much time away from her husband.

    Thank you for this work out. I needed that but haven’t had time for me in a very long time 33 years. it was a little hard, but I loved it. 52 years old . But years ago I used to work out to your aerobics and I loved it.     Jane, so HAPPY to see you again!!! It was about 30 years ago (or more) that I last worked out with you. I was a young working mom, and while my kids were in school, I'd bust out my VCR, pop your tape in and work out with you. I was very dedicated and I believe I had 2 or 3 tapes of yours that I was so familiar with that eventually I got bored. Then Life consumed me. I'm now nearing 60 and been feeling sluggish, in dire need of exercise. Still working hard but no time for the gym. Then TH-cam!! Yayy!! And I found you!! Same steps- it's gotten harder to teach this old dog new tricks! Perfect for my arthritic knees. Today was my first day back and you can BET I'm gonna incorporate you into my daily routine AGAIN. Thanks Jane! Love you girl!!!

    I just turned 40. I just didn’t find any workouts that I can stick with until today. When I found this one. You’re not rushing me and still consistently working whole body. I loved it. Thank you from bottom of my heart.

    This really takes me back. I had several of your videos in my early twenties and now in my fifties I'm still a huge fan. Jane shows what you can do if you never stop moving, she is still fabulous.

    I just came across this video. I must say that Jane Fonda's fitness level at 80+ of age is amazing. One hip and one knee replacement and she moves like she did 30 years ago. I will be incorporating this routine into my own fitness routine. ♥

    I do this walking cardio workout and the harder walking cardio workout every other day. I supplement it with Jane's workout and stretches on the other days. It is a great balance. Jane Fonda is an inspiration . All those haters should get over it. Times change and people change.

    I was doing this video religiously every morning and felt wonderful in no time. Then I got a job which was so demanding, I stopped for two years. Now, I'm about four stones heavier, have such a bad back, high blood pressure, have had to have a heart monitor implanted from palpitations and have general fatigue. I was too busy and too exhausted to exercise. I've lost my job from being so ill, so this morning, after feeling the worst I've felt ever in my life, I've put this video on again and shall be doing it until I'm fit again. I'm 50, and will not have much more time if I don't do something about it now. Jane Fonda's video here helped immensely in the past, and I'm hoping it will help me again. She's a wonderful role model, an incredibly inspirational woman.

    Thanks for making this a public video Ms. Fonda. Truly a blessing to those of us who are older and in need of a good workout without trying to follow a 20-something super model who hasn't yet had parts replaced with titanium! And you look even better than those young "hot chicks" because you've been caring for yourself a lot longer. Bless you! Kimberly Enruquez, I pray you don't just watch Jane's videos and admire her, but jump in there and work it for yourself. If you change your habits and thinking about exercise now, maybe you won't have to experience the back, hip, and knee pain some of us do as seniors. :)

    I am in my 20s and am recovering from surgery, so while I CAN exercise, I have to be more careful. This was such a great workout. I have always loved your stuff.

    Finally something I think I can do everyday and still feel like I'm doing some good exercise without killing myself. Started out with Jillian's and felt very sore afterwards. I'm fifty something and feeling the need to exercise in the dead of winter! I love how this keeps me moving and incorporates a lot of the step aerobics that i used to do years ago. I agree with previous post I love working with her. I can actually follow her! Thanks so much Jane. Can't wait to use other videos you have on You Tube. Love ya! Keep the videos coming!

    A'm 50 and after so meny surgerys and not able to move, I put on a lot of weight. I'm slow yet but able to do all those moves with little pain. I'm so happy to find the exersise I needed. Thanks a lot!!! ;)

    Jane you amaze me. I started with you albums when I was in Jr. High. I am 56 and use to do harder workouts. I have a L4, L5, and S1 facet joint problems. I am going to use your videos. I still have pain, but will modify. I am also drinking Bone broth, it repairs joints. God bless you.

    I haven't worked out for about 3 years. At about 4 minutes into the video, I was ready to give up, but I didn't! Thanks for making videos that are challenging, but not ridiculously difficult. I'm 63 and wanting to lose about 10 pounds and get stronger. Thanks for helping.

    I just found this hidden gem while searching for a cardio workout suitable for seniors (I work with dementia patients) and I have to say that this won me over. I'm almost 30 and can usually keep up with those younger 20 somethings but this workout I've enjoyed more than any other thus far.

      Glad I found it too! You might also be interested in Paula’s senior fitness Parts 1 and 2. She also believes strongly in the importance of warming up and cooling down after cardio. She also gives lots of good info for seniors. I love Jane, too.

    I just did the whole routine. I have knee replacements and arthritis in my hips too. This was totally doable for me. It is Not too fast, but enough pace to increase my heart rate and to feel my muscles doing some work.
    It's a really good workout for someone who is easing back into exercise and maybe has some physical limitations.
    I have not done a Jane workout before and I like her instructions, the health Information she gives, and her encouragement. She really is good wth that, I love that she says... It's never too late to exercise.
    I will definitely check her other videos out.

    Loved this video, its going to work for me. And anyone who has not ever made a mistake when they were young in their life can be the first ones to throw stones. No stones thrown? Didn't think so. Tend to your own gardens people, Im sure there are plenty of weeds in your own.

    Always love working out with Jane. She is authentic and so helpful with her health tips! (Jane, my mom had the antique store in a small, Montana town that you used to visit. She knew what you collected and would look for things in the winter before she'd open the shop in the summer. I think fondly of you because it brings back lovely memories of my mother in her beloved shop before Rheumatoid Arthritis made it too difficult for her to continue.)

    Got me sweating
    Have lost 9 kilos since late Nov 2018 without excercise an i have got Akonyspondilitis etc etc but Specialist was so impressed with everything an my health i got the go ahead to incorporate fitness

    Is it really 20 years since I did my first workouts with Jane? Am now in my early sixties and need to find a simple, fun workout to fit in with my busy lifestyle - looks like I've found it. Oh, if only I could roll back the years! This is like catching up with an old familiar friend, very comforting.

    DAY 1...Level 1 + Level 2 Thank you Jane Fonda!!! Glad to know the cool down is the same as level 1. Now I can cut from level 1 just before the stretches and move nicely over to level 2.

    You did this video 8 years ago, and you're in damn great shape! I've been enjoying your latest film projects like Frankie & Grace, and you looking fantastic. I'm a recovering quadriplegic from a near-fatal accident in 2016 & I'm glad to now be walking & mobile today. I've been doing low impact videos with former dancer friends of mine on Zoom sessions, ranging in ages from 30-85 yo (I'm 54 yo)...we do workout sessions every day, usually for an hour or so to focus on expanding range of motion, stretching, strength training & building stamina as most of us have long-standing sports injuries. My 85 yo mother hates walking because it's boring for her, but she started joining our sessions because she loves doing the various videos we workout to. I treasure this time with her, motivating her to be active & healthy. We sometimes do two workout videos, one usually a seated session as one of our participants had both hips replaced in recent years, and another that's a standing session, involving power walking/marching/lightweights. One of our dancers suggested this video today, and we really enjoyed this workout. We look forward to adding your videos to our workout sets in the future. Keep inspiring & motivating, beautiful...!
