Hi Glenn, awesome news I think you'll truly enjoy it. Did you get the LiHV 1s lipos. I've always had safe experiences with those. A little weird at first charging to 4.35 and not 4.2 but you learn to get over it, especially with small 250mAh lipos :). Hope you enjoy your NX8 too! I've had my trust old dx9 for going on 6 years now. Time flys.
Oops, sorry Daniel and Glenn. My Mistake! I was getting confused with my miniquads and whoops that I used to fly. No, for the Nano I did NOT use LIHV I only used LIPO. Sorry for that! These were what I used: PowerHobby 1S 3.7V 180Mah 45C Lipo Battery (4) : Blade Nano CP X
ah, perfect. Glad to hear ifly65 I think you'll like it. Absolutely the best nano out there for sure. I'm a big fan of brushed motors for this size, brushless is too much power for sub 100's I think. Give it a 3d flight and post a video!
Hehe. The sneaky identical second heli. I like it. Nice flying. Might get a nano for myself. Had a beginner heli a few years back and spent time with a sim. Reckon maybe this would be a good next step into collective pitch. Don't need big repair bills like a bigger heli brings.
Hey Klein, hahaha thank you and thanks for noticing the sneaky heli at the end. That was one of my favorite parts. It's hard to fly those little heli's as I'm sure you know. But dang it's so easy to go get a little bind n fly and be up in the air that afternoon. I hear you on not wanting the big repair builds. I jumped the gun on a trex 500x before I was ready and paid the price. Learning to build correctly can be costly. The nano I could crash multiple times (especially if flown over grass) and not have a single thing go wrong. It was more durable than the blade 230s. However, I have lots of good things to say about the 230s (they are called V2 now). That would be the next step I’d recommend if you're already spending time on the sim and going to get use to a nano-sized heli. Hope your journey is smooth and off the ground. Cheers
