    I have had the black version of this backpack since July 2019, and I love it. I travel weekly between cities and commute daily to work. Occasionally, I fly around. The subtle black backpack suited every need of mine by taking clothes for a a couple of weeks, my electronics for productivity and some food at times.
    The only down side is that it gets too heavy with with all that while I am walking around, because I like walking most of the time. It is 2 kg empty of my stuff. I can reach almost 20 kg while travelling away for a long time.
    The black version is not the best colour in dusty situations. However, it is a looker no matter what. I use it for a white-collar business environment and load it with tools for the training sessions I provide. I tuck the shoulder straps away when it is half empty and compressed and make it look like a regular bag, funky though, and attend meetings with it. A couple of days a week, I take it to work and school by the end of the day. It just lacks organisation for my papers, books, etc. It is meant more for clothes.
    Structure has held up very well for almost 6 months. Then, the back panel started denting a bit. It was not major and by time and a better understanding of how I should handle the laptop compartment, it straightened up again, on its own. Pro tip: keep your papers and books away from the laptop compartment especially when you stuff it up for travelling. Front side is a go for such stuff for me.
    I have the shoe pouch and the small compression unit for my clothes and they work like a charm.
    I live with my PD everyday and it is always helpful despite the heavy weight and lack or study/paper organisation. Yet, I find my way around those little details. I take care of it and it does take care of me..
    Love PD.. Love the companion of my backpack..

      Thanks for the view point is it still your every day carry? I guess you put this comment prior to the pandemic and global lockdown so maybe feedback is still the case and you have not changed, I am thinking of getting the thinking black, medium camera cube, rain fly, small packing cube and tech pouch! But cost concerns me and comparing to other similar bag setups. I would like a single bag option but also happy to take this plus another carry on option.

      @Mr Achromatic
      I am sorry I missed this question. Positive. The Pd 45L in its compressed state has been my daily backpack for my laptop, e-accessories, work and study materials, replacement dress pants, a water bottle and some food.
      If weight is your concern, it has been very noticed and sometimes uncomfortably aching for the first couple of months. Later, my body got used to it and there is no pain or ache whatsoever and I definitely call her, the Pd, my friend and best company on the road.

      Yes, it has been so very much so until last August when one of its zippers broke off. I filed for a replacement and they sent me a new one free of charge; I just paid for shipping. It was a smooth process with no fuzz. I only took 3 months work-from-home, March till June and resumed back with the old one until I received the replacement 10 days later after the complaint. The lifetime warranty helped much and it was the reason I bought it in first place.
      Cost has been my concern as well but I very much needed a representable, heavy-duty backpack. I have used the first one heavily and pushed it beyond the limits because I did not want to hold but one bag on my back during travelling especially.
      Consider that the tech pouch will take much space on its own and you will lose one third of the bag's space for this piece alone. The medium camera cube and the small packing cube will stuff the Pd with a little space on the top to stuff in a shirt or two. You can expand the front zippers for a little more depth but you will put your luggage in a free from; any well-figured bag like the tech pouch won't fit easily unless you use the outer holding straps to fix it to the upper side of the bag. So, the extra messenger or sling style carry-on will accommodate the tech pouch but you will be adding much more to the cost. Rainfly is no issue to stow away.
      Quality and good shape of the bag were the trade off for me.
      I hope I could help and feel free to ask further questions.

    I am so tempted by this as hopefully we will be back travelling at some point this year.... thinking black, medium camera cube, rain fly, small packing cube and tech pouch! all that comes out at around £500 that is some cash to throw on a bag but when you travel and attend events have multiple use cases I think its worth it to protect your equipment but also the look, feel and the ease of use when travelling! I am tempted and torn!

    It's also intteresting to see how they're kinda trying to "lock you" into their ecossystem, like Apple

      Hi! Thanks for the comment! There is a rear handle intended for duffel-style carrying. To substitute for a strap, a carabiner can be utilized. We hope this helps!

    What is the best backpack between Borealis and borealis classic? Can you give me a fast answer because i have to buy the backpack these days. Thanks

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We haven't had too much experience with the Borealis Classic, but we'd go with the Borealis. From first impressions the Borealis looks more modern and technical than the Classic, and I think the Borealis has more organisation for gear, whereas the Classic seems to be a homage to the older generation of Borealis bags. Hope that helps. - Ed
