      Well, if 18 hours of music ain't enough for you, you can upgrade the system very easily. As long as you parallel connect the batteries (mind the polarity) you can throw as many battery packs in there as there is room in the casing for. Remember to use the same type and voltage.
      Of course, your charging time would be longer than the 5,5, hours it usually takes for this model speaker.

      @@guilhermecapelleto5989 When there is a batterypack, a charger and all neccesary components already at play, you can easily just remove the battery and make a similar battery with similar wiring, altho in my case I thought I'll make it bigger with more parallel 18650 cells. For example here are 8 cells. 4 and 4 wired together. you could with ease add more series of 4 to increase battery capasity. theres a lot of good videos in youtube for batterymaking. cheers

    Hi, Creator, I was trying to upgrade the battery on this JBL Party Box 310 with additional same model battery in parallel (with measure correct voltage) . I find it is not possible. There should be some battery capacity measuring circuitry build on the top panel . We are not allow to increase the mAH on this BT Speaker. It is so sensitive, I first try adding 6x on each side of the Positive and 6x on the Negative and measuring the voltage output on the terminal at BMC main terminal, It indicated 8.0+/- 1 Volt. So i power it up and it goes off in seconds. I even try to reduce the cell to just 2 x on each side and it still cannot power up. When i try plug in to the a/c charging wall plug. the speaker works without issue. even after playing for an hour at 70-80 % volume. ( No issue ) . but when i turn of the main. the speaker turn off. I had double confirm that the the battery was not in anyway short circuit by measuring output from it BMS. So i suspect there is another circuitry on top panel sense that the battery capacity had been modified. Dame JBL!!!

    Isn't that 4p2s(4 parallel 2 series) battery pack? When you look at the bottom of the pack, you see 4 connected on positive and 4 negative and those 2 packs into series? so theoretically should be 3.6V*4=14.4V, am i correct or is it connected 4s2p?

    How many partybox 300 really have watts?

  • @MrJamesgrate
    @MrJamesgrate 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please do a tear down of the (Altec Lansing Xpedition 8) speaker, I would love to see the size battery it has. The JBL partybox 300 only pushes out 120 watts connected to household current, and 60 watts on battery, while the Xpedition 8 produces 420 watts on household current and battery, I would love to see the size battery Altec put into their speaker..

    • @Skyler-md7ny
      @Skyler-md7ny 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's Altec numbers, logic that they over do, 420W doesn't look like that. it would need at least 5 times the size of the partybox battery, at least so with a shity battery life.

    • @MrJamesgrate
      @MrJamesgrate 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if it's Altec Lansing's numbers, so can you explain why it is three times as loud than the JBL party box, even if the Party box is running on household current? The battery life for the Xpedition is very reasonable for a speaker of it's size and loudness and you can easily connect a 12 volt DC current or household current to keep the party going with 420 watts of speaker power!!!

    • @Skyler-md7ny
      @Skyler-md7ny 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrJamesgrate this is probably louder but does it sounds the same way as the jbl does x) oftenly, altec and so called speakers are just garbage beacause they do loud mid and treble that just rape our ears... to do 420 so called watt with a 12V battery, it must deliver at peak 35A. clearly impossible because it would mean that the battery, to last 10H should be able to be 350Ah*0.3 (coefficient to make it reasonnable, it won't be at peak power everytime) = 120Ah
      Easy maths, the jbl partybox is 10Ah, it should have a 12 times bigger battery to last less

    • @MrJamesgrate
      @MrJamesgrate 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well honestly, the JBL has a lot of low end at low volume, but the Altec Xpedition has chest pounding low and mid bass the louder you increase the volume without beast mode activated (Heavy bass). The speaker plays (Horizontally) in stereo mode, and vertically the system orients the tweeters to maximize true audio output for, in every essence, a party speaker. When I play music through the Expedition 800 speaker, my neighbor thinks I have on my DJ system, because he hears the bass notes in his house. The only Bluetooth speaker better than the Altec is the Diamond Box XL 2, but who has a thousand dollars to spend on a blue tooth speaker with outstanding sound but limited capabilities. Altec Lansing Xpedition 800 for the win!!!!

    • @MrJamesgrate
      @MrJamesgrate 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 420 watts, is not constant, the speaker can deliver a peak power output performance of (420) watts, it is not RMS power, even for a battery powered speaker, to have a clipping level of 420 watts, that is impressive!!!
