Loved hearing Mike Futa. Vivid memories I have. I attended Games 1, 3, 4 and 5 in 2012 in New Jersey and LA. That was the Cup run that I thought I’d never see, after a forty-five year wait.

I predicted a Cup win at a Salvation Army kettle after we fired Murray... A San Jose Sharks fan told me that if the Kings win the Cup...he'd put $50 in that kettle the first time he sees me the following the season... He didn't disappoint... He did say that somehow I KNEW the Kings would win... I told him that God answers prayer...

That 2012 team was loaded and deep. Defense was so good. Slava, Greene, scuds, Mitchell, Drew, and Amart. Quick playing out of his mind. Shocking kings only had that 3 year run.

The offense completely dried up. Brown was a mess and they talked about trading him. They locked Sutter out of the room after a game. He was ruining the team. I think he got too full of himself.

I thought I was done talking and thinking about PLD buyout. But I read something by Seravalli that made me mad again. Makes me again think Blake is most interested in his own personal reputation than the Kings future. Blake doesn’t want to do the buyout cuz it instantly is an admission of the trade was a bust and a terrible move ! Seravlli says….”It’s better to admit a mistake and pay a lesser price rather than double down and have it hurt much worse in the long-term.” Blake wants to gamble that if PLD has a bounce back season so Blake’s decision doesn’t look so bad. But the reality is if he has another crap season we miss the buyout option. The future of the Kings is more important than Blake’s short term future as GM. We need to do the buyout !

A buy out was never, and never will be, a serious option. Only clueless fans that want to vent think that it should be done. PL is going to be with the Kings for the long haul, he had a terrible season, but can and will play much better in the future. Especially when the Kings make adjustments to be more offensively aggressive.
