  • In this video Beki show’s you how you can use the game layout vectors that come included with your Aspire & VCarve software to create a Tic Tac Toe game on your CNC!
Making use of the included vector clipart Beki shows you how you can take a standard game layout and customize it into a practical hands-on game that uses marbles for the 0’s and X’s!
When designing this project Beki made use of the sheets feature, as well as the offset and layout tools ensuring it is practical to machine and super easy for you to make changes to.
The game has been created in two parts; the base, which features the game board and pockets to store the game pieces when they’re not in use, made out of beech. And the top ring, that latches onto the base using magnets, designed to make the perfect stow away solution, made out of walnut.

I agree with bubba6945, my Grandkids will love this little game and I think I will engrave their nick names on that outer radius to personalize each one. Thank you so much @ Vectric cnc. These free projects are nice but also always seem to show me another trick or two to learn the program designing that much better

About a year ago I switched my work holding from clamps and screws to blue tape/superglue and never looked back. No tabs, and no tab clean up.

Love your work! As @slhasebroock said, it doesn't matter whether you make it or not, the learning is the best part. I may have missed it, but what are the marble and magnet sizes? Also, depending upon the marble diameter that you choose, I used 14-15 mm, they still roll around a little in the playing board holes. I replaced the tool path with a drilling tool path (cut depth .1875) and used a 1/2" core box. Better results--the marbles don't move around at all.

Thank you for your kind comments, so the marble diameter I was using was 0.63" (16mm) and the magnet was 0.375 diameter and around 1mm / 0.037" thick (or thin even 😂) Ooh I love that you tweaked it to use the drilling toolpath for each marble that's a great idea, I do kind of like the sound of the marbles rolling in their troughs 😂 Thanks for the comment! Have a great day ~ Beki

    Beki,
I've tried over time to ask your teck dept and sales dept questions. But they never return any of the emails I send.
    Whats up with that?

Hey, it's a shame but it's just a suggestion. The truth is that they don't cover the lathe issue that much and I have a lathe and I use your program with my machine. It's just that it needs improvements and it could give you many ideas. I also have a cnc lathe. wood
and I feel that the lathe people have us abandoned in terms of adjustments to others, they are losing market there since they are only focused on cnc routers and the lathe is something that is now gaining a lot of strength

I have this lathe and the truth is that the only program that works is with Aspire but the point is that Aspire does not allow you to make a standard lathe and the videos they upload are already very old and the wood lathe is evolving a lot and it is time for you also wrap

Has Vectric completely abandoned the online forum? It's not registering a new user.
Not a good look when someone is trying to get to grips with the software.
