This is ordinary sandpaper from a hardware store. 1000 grit. Waterproof. Size 23x28 cm

Евгений! Спасибо огромное! Я покупаю в строительном магазине водостойкую наждачку, зернистостью 1000.
Для меня это самый оптимальный вариант, потому что часто растушевываю пальцами. Да и на такой наждачке пастель не так много расходуется.

I am a professional artist, and I draw since childhood, this is a huge practice.
Begin to break the object into simple figures and measure the proportions, for example, how much the height of the head will be deposited in the trunk, what is the thickness of this or that element, and how many such elements can fit into other shapes of objects.
Draw and be observant to the image object.

Thankyou for your beautiful works. Pastel is a hard medium I think in my opinion. It’s quite easy to muddy up the colours if you don’t know how to layer them. Such vibrant colours and you do it effortlessly. Did you have training or are self taught? In a matter of minutes you produced this lovely parrot. I was wondering, can you paint a beautiful colourful peacock in one of your future tutorials please. 💕💕

а после работы лаком работу можно покрывать
Евгений, наждачку ничем не покрывают, она пойдет
подтеками и сильно потемнеет. Я вообще не пользуюсь фиксативами. Либо сразу
оформляю работу в раму под стекло и обязательно с паспарту, чтобы пастель не
касалась стекла. Либо кладу на работу кальку или прозрачный файлик и убираю в
папку.

Nice! But sandpaper is not acid free! So your drawings will desapear or destroy! Почему вы на наждачке пишите? Вам не жалко ваши рисунки? В наждачке кислота!
Татьяна, я понимаю Ваше беспокойство, потому что все об этом твердят. Но я делала химический анализ наждачной бумаги и там нет кислоты.
