I think this young Muslim was being respectful especially in comparison to the others. The major problem he has is that he's listening to people who speaks against the Bible and Christianity! It'll be from the mosque and those he associates himself with! He needs to empty his head of all that stuff, and look at it with fresh eyes and pray to God of the universe for discernment and wisdom otherwise he won't get anywhere and that would be ashame as he would see the Qur'an for what it really is! The Qur'an says that it 'appeared' to them that Jesus was crucified. If it appeared to you, you would report it to others and history will be written by what is apparent. Therefore these statements do not contradict each other. History points to people of the time believing that Jesus was crucified and the Qur'an says it appeared to the people, but he was not really killed or crucified.

When Muhammad was inventing the Quran, he believed genuinely that the Bible and his Quran agreed. It was only after he died that they found out that there were many and very significant contradictions between the Bible and Quran and that forced them into three choices:
1) admit the Quran is wrong
2) ignore it entirely
3) claim the Bible is corrupted.
I actually get that truly honest answer all the time.
It just kicks the can down one step, because they start getting all weirded out when you point out we have full complete Bibles from before Muhammad.

Jesus was using old testament this idea of Muslims thinking God gave a physical book to Jesus, is not correct. Jesus came to fulfill what was written in old testament. Muslims they must remember that Jesus comes to bring salvation, you must know Jesus's mission statement first. He was not like Mahommed who came to get married to a lot of women.

Your analogy works better for the Injeel than it does for the Quran. In the Quran you have different readings that are supposed to match word for word but don't. So their existence is non-sensical at best. In the Injeel you have four different complementary perspectives that create a panoramic view of the Gospel and in many places check and confirm one another.

The Quran was written by many people right up to 14th century. The Quran of today does not come from all the manuscripts that you have, they dont come from Uthman's period,the Hafs Quran's author was born 100yrs after muhammad, but was chosen by the ottoman empire in egypt in 1924, and then chosen later for all in 1934, and then king of Saudi chose it for the whole world of Islam . So, we are older than the Quran.

If you want actual recorded history from the Roman era. Read Eusebius and Jospehus Flavius. Josephus was a Jew that even recorded what they did to Jesus brother after they crucified Jesus.

If you dont know who wrote the Gospel? Go to the Quran and you will be told by Allah who Mark and Mathew are. Surah 48 verse29 the parable of the seed and the sower, allah says it is in Mark. Allah also tells you the parable of the vineyard is in Mathew surah18 verse 32. The hadiths describe the parables for you. Also the Biography of Muhammad written by ibn ishaaq/ ibn ishaam mentions that the injeel is the book of John in the Gospel.
