I have no worries for this sister. She highlighted the fact that the Bible does not have unequivocal statements regarding the divinity of Jesus. The fact it took these professionals a long time to explain it, proved her point. Even the name of God is so ambiguous. The God of the Bible introduces himself as Elohim in Genesis which is Plural BTW, Then says Yahweh among other names. But in Aramaic they always use Alaha.
The Quran is emphatic. It starts with "In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate"

@@kb4432The Qur'an openly states many times that Allah is the best of l-mākirīna, a word sometimes mildly translated as planners, though also as schemers or plotters. The Arabic word used here is "ماكر" "maakir", coming from the root m-k-r م-ك-ر, with the word Makr "مكر" primarily meaning to practice deceit or guile or circumvention.
Does the Quran instruct the killing of all unbelievers?
Most assuredly it does. The Taqiya answers given already are without foundation as they are quoting abrogated text and ignore history.
If the Quran and ahadith aren’t sufficient, look at 14 centuries of killing. Islam didn’t spread from out of the Arabian Peninsula and cover Morocco to Indonesia with peace and love. You could ask the (conservative estimate of) 80 million Hindus killed during the conquest of India or the cultures of North Africa (remember Carthage?) utterly destroyed with the spread of Islam, but of course, they’re gone. But it’s not just ancient history, it’s happening daily to Yazidi, Christian Nigerians and more, by people following the letter of the law as dictated by the Quran. As there are far too many surahs and ahadith instructing Muslims to kill unbelievers, here is a taste.
The penultimate surah chronologically is number 9, the most violent of the surahs.
9:5
"So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."
Note that it says when the sacred months have passed. This means they were not under attack. If they were, the Quran commanded them to defend themselves so there would have been no waiting.

“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.”
Note that this abrogates any remaining verse saying Christians and Jews are safe. Just to make sure that Jews and Christians are to be included in conquest, four verses later is:
9:33
“It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it.”
A couple more samples from the second to last surah:
9:73

"O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."
Many, MANY more surah verses commanding violence, especially Medinan verses. Just one more Medinan verse for you, 66:9

Let’s not forget ahadith.
Sahih Muslim 1:30
"The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah."
Sahih Muslim 31:5917 describes Muhammad’s general, Ali, going off to fight but pausing and asking why these people are to be attacked. Muhammad’s response was because they are not Muslim.
“Ali went a bit and then halted and did not look about and then said in a loud voice: Allah’s Messenger, on what issue should I fight the people? Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: Fight with them until they bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger”
Plenty more in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, but I leave you with what is probably the coldest and most callous utterance from Muhammad, quoted several times in both sets of the two most trusted (authentic) collections of ahadith. When informed that during an attack on unbelievers (attacked for nothing but being polytheists) that innocent women and children were killed, he responded “They are from them.”

How do you go from atheism to Islam of all religions that completely goes against the historical data? Islam claims that Jesus didn't even die on the cross while all the evidence shows that Jesus absolutely lived and Died on the cross. Furthermore, Islam claims that Jesus was switched with either Judas or Simon of Cyrene which is absolutely Ridiculous. This is one of the most asinine religions.

at 15m i think a good example is that in 1 Timothy 6v10 it says "the love of money is the root of all evil", but many quote it (even Christians) or interpret it as saying "money is the root of all evil" they havent CHANGED the actual TEXT but they ARE misquoting it or misinterpeting it wrongly. the difference is important, but they havent CORRUPTED the text itself, but with their tongues but the actual reading is STILL there!

I'd suggest everyone should start by reading the book of Hebrews, because it clearly makes how God transitioned from Old to New Testaments. Then one should read the Gospel books. Then after, the books of the old testament. And finally the epistles books.
The book of Hebrews was very difficult to understand for me.i don't recommend to go straight to Hebrews if your not familiar with old and be testament
@@Weebgamer236 I agree with you and that's why I suggested starting with it, because it will prompt you to wanting to know about both the old and the new testaments. That book summarizes the transition and it is a very beautiful biblical book (like all the others). Even the in the Old Testament, there is a way of reading the books in a chronological order as per how event took place.
I think the first book to read is John.
It's the one most people say is the best intro to Jesus.
But I do like hebrews, I just finished reading it a few weeks ago

I always suggest to new Christians to read the New testament first. Getting to know Jesus and his nature and working on a personal relationship helps with the rest of the bible. It worked for me.

I love Avery’s calm confidence.
First, know who the author is. Second, know who the gospel was written to/for. Third, know the theme of the gospel (Jewish genealogy, His kingdom, His divinity, etc). There are no contradictions in God's truth as revealed through the scriptures. The four gospels are about the same story, which is the life and teachings of Jesus, and from four different authors/witnesses/perspectives. If the four gospels were written identically, they would just be colluding and copying each other. If you called 4 witnesses to testify and they repeated each other's lines, you would be very suspicious because they were being coached or told to say the same thing. We do not see this in the Bible, which logically would make it more authentic and genuine. My Redeemer lives. God is Holy and He is love. You cannot say this about the perversity of Allah.

You should show her prove of the trinity in the old testament too, Genesis, when it talks abouth the angel of the lord or the face lord (we know is refering to jesus - obviusly you make the conection with the new testament too to prove it), and also when it talks about God's Holly spirit , the diferenciation betwen a father and a son that they were expecting to come since the era of the profets of the old testament....... well you know more than me 😂.

It's not about high or low Christology, it's about implicit (Mark) and Explicit (John ) Christology. Both call Jesus God. John does it directly, Mark leaves you to infer.
