PLEASE KEEP MAKING MORE CONTENT THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MODS I'VE EVER PLAYED Y'ALL COOKED SO HARD I CAN'T EVEN LIE I WAS NOT EXPECTING IT TO BE THIS GOOD
The first two notes of the trailer's song made me immediately realize what this was all really about and I screamed (internally) terraria and risk of rain are two of my favorite game, and this trailer makes it looks like the mix between both game is impeccable! I can't wait to try out this mod, which will finally make me replay terraria after a long while
Me and my homie are already severely addicted to this mod. Considering terraria and risk of rain are two of my favorite games ever, this mod is so good. I hope this gets updates. Multiplayer and just a little more content would extend this beyond the peak that it already is
i just did a run, and it was fun! The bosses were creative, the enemies gave me a hard, but enjoyable time. I only have 2 gripes. 1. I don't know if i was missing items or anything, but it felt like the gun massively outclassed the sword, the gun benefitted more from most items and contact damage made the sword really risky. And i also neglected using the sword in the late game, so i probably did have items that affected it. 2. If you've played Risk of rain, you have already played this mod. Most of the items are just reskinned tri tip, reskinned topaz, reskinned dio, (Though it does do an attack once it is consumed, which is kinda cool.) Though if you just set out to make risk of rain in terraria, you did a great job, if you didnt, you probably need to add some stuff thats original, not just stuff from ror. There is a small amount of stuff that isnt from ror, I'll give you that. Overall, this mod has a lot of potential and i am really excited for what this will become!
I forgot what it was called but i had an item that turns your gun into a shotgun which made the sword hit like 10 times with one swing and it carried me through the whole game
There's some items that make melee completely busted if you're lucky. My biggest gripe is that there's virtually no control given to the player except for movement and holding the left mouse button. I couldn't direct my build at all, the shop is near useless since that's just rng stacked on rng, etc. you are completely at the mercy of the game to give you good items that synergize. It was especially annoying to be given a build that relied around beating up the lower level enemies for HP and buffs, because otherwise I would be doing dps equivalent to that of just starting out on the first floor. This is just one of the many issues I've had with the game, but it was fun enough for me to beat it. I see a lot of potential, it just needs more time in the oven before I could consider it something with replay value.

It's really cool, just finished my first run. I'm going to put my review of it here.
PROS:

-I love the risk of rain style item collection.
-To add to the last point, I love the item cauldron system brought over from ror2.
-The combat is amazing.
-I love the new custom AI for bosses and enemies.
-The passion put into this mod is very visible.
CONS(prepare for long text):
-The items you get seem a bit too random. Sure, there are item cauldrons you can use, but there are only 3 that appear through out the entire run. The rest of the items you get are up to chance, which results in the player feeling like the modis luck-based. Ror1 and ror2 fixed this by adding multiple points where you can pick what item you get(adaptive chests, shops, etc.), and adding multiple ways to sac items other than item cauldrons(scrappers, printers, drone scrappers, etc.).
-To add to the last point, this mod needs A LOT more risk/reward. Like, health sacs, challenge shrines, etc. That's usually what makes rougelikes very deep in gameplay, and is also what results in some crazy runs.
-The rooms being linear is a kinda weird design choice. However, I understand it's probably easier to program and manage(you are making a terraria mod after all, not a game made with an engine).
-The blood moon difficulty is too similar to the base difficulty, but that's a very minor nitpick.
-More items need to be added to make melee a more viable option.
OVERALL:
I really like the mod, when it's good, it's GOOD. But, man is there some missed potential. Honestly, a tiny bit more risk/reward and controlled randomness in this mod would go a LONG way.
