The best thing people can do to trim their food budget is get a handle on their food waste. Most families throw away a lot of food, especially produce that doesn't get used before it goes bad.
One of my friends told me about The Ramsey Show. And, I’ve gotten to the point here lately, where this is the only thing I listen to! You guys at Ramsey solutions, I appreciate your hard work! Keep it up!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
We recently started buying our meat in bulk (trying a half cow, half hog this year to see far it goes) form local farms instead of just grabbing specific cuts from their stands. While it is a lot money upfront, we calculated it would save us over the year. On the fly fish caller, what about a career in Forestry, Fish, and Wildlife (could be for state or Fed gov) such as National Parks Service.
Family of 5 here with 3 teenagers. We shop at Aldi and some local places. We easily spend $1,200/mo for food. I spend $100 month on local eggs and $120 month for raw local organic milk. We bought half a cow in the spring and 4 deer. Groceries are just expensive.
This is above and beyond the average human being. It’s a luxury to have local eggs and local milk and half a cow and 4 deer. When people talk about inflation eating away at their cash flow I would REALLY hope they don’t mean they are buying premium things like this. 😅
32:26 Goodluck to the young man who called in! I also thought I wanted to drop out, ended up going opposite of my major and now have a heart job! Had a friend who DID drop out, and became a trade worker, earns more than me and took him about a year. It’s all possible!!! 😊
At 35 minutes it’s really simple either grandma left money for her grands for school or she didn’t. Either all got it or they didn’t and dad seemed to pick and choose. I’d get to the bottom of this before any more years go by.
fresh fruits and vegetables are expensive, very expensive if consumed in adequate amounts daily. 10 dollars a day per person is normal when a head of cauliflower is 4 dollars.
Bad advice to the guy who wants to retire when Ken suggested leaving a state job. He’s 57, too old to get past a lot of the gatekeepers screening job applicants. A second job can help. He’ll need his pension + whatever SS may be + savings for larger expenses (car, home repairs, travel). He should be planning to work until FRA, until 67-70 depending on what his SS will actually be. If he can finish off his mortgage before retiring he should be ok.
No, it’s not grown in China that’s why it costs more. US farmers make squat bcz they have to compete with cheap produce coming from all around the world to meet the demand for out of season produce to be available year round.

We got chickens halfway through the year. It’ll save you big! Just be prepared to lose some to predators.
@@Scarface_445 we spend $1,100 and I don’t buy local stuff but we do buy meat. Even regular HEB meat is costing too much. Family of 4
We have a family of 3 and spent $125 a week, including toiletries and dog food. Walmart and Aldi, some Kroger.
1st caller, Miss Clean Eating, just wanted to call and brag. 😂

What’s up with 8:36? What’s with the off vibe between them when she said “blog about it” was that disdain?
I heard the video for today, and I would like to speak to someone about getting on a budget and so on
200k in student loans to change diapers and burp babies we live in crazy times

Jade rolling her eyes at the single mom- can already see the negative comments coming a mile away

Laurel road for student loans? Don’t you mean yrefy?

1st caller kids go to school thats 2 meals a day all you have to do is dinner.
Oh, they're probably homeschooled, like most of the Ramsey followers.
Love the caller getting money from the in-laws for her husband hooking his company up with theirs a “gift.” AKA a “kickback”.😮
Imagine going $100k into debt to be an office manager and then have it balloon into $200k😳
My six year old is on a macro strict diet. She needs her protein, clean carbs. This is America, kids are overweight
4$ for a cauliflower, OMG, where is it grown? China. 😮

1500$ a month in cars + a side by side payment WHILE RENTING????????? Peak stupid
Meat is not healthy regardless
