This is the first I listened to her older voice. She sounds great back in 1994, but she has improved even to much much better... So good to see a singer working on to improve herself even if she was good then.

We were not hiding her in The Netherlands...she didn't want to be out there in the world and find her path at home from the age of 16 when she became our "'Whitney" ...We got to know Glennis Grace from when she started and now it is her own choice of showing herself to the world and HER TIME! We are a very small country but she opened her life to us and even gets in a tram and sing for people and they still get tears when she sings...We love and respected her life over here and let Glennis do her own thing...She wants to share it all around now and we are so proud of here and wishing her the best time ever now and hope she will entertain you as much over there as she does here...Go Glennis...fly out and enjoy everything that comes your way now.

This is so good! You don't believe your own ears. Glenis has always been a top talent. Too bad it had to take so long before people understood that. When I see her working like this now, I am incredibly happy for her. She had to work so incredibly hard and hard for it. It is inevitable that Glennis must have an unbelievably strong willpower. I admire her a lot! And now enjoy her beautiful voice, because there are already quite a few CDs and DVDs from her for sale. And not to forget TH-cam.
Listen to the voice of this brilliant, beautiful child singing what for me is the hardest Whitney song to sing. What impressed me most about her performance is she started the song with no vocal pyrotechnics until halfway when she started unleashing the power of her voice.
Notice her excellent stage presence when she turned to the whole audience several times during the song and did half squats to emphasize her emotions then really turned on the power at the end. She owned that stage!! What a magnificent job she did at age 16!!

Ze heeft niet gewonnen maar ze heeft nu een hele mooie toekomst verdiend. Ze gaat optreden in Las vegas en tour concerten en eigen albums. We were not hiding her over here...she has always has been 1 of our biggest performers in our country and she was away for serverl years when she started her career with winning the "soundmix show"...she was only 16 and made a number of herself after this one called "i'm gonna be strong"...her first song ever and i still love to hear it as i do still when she sings...it was all her own doing with wanting to come out in the world nd show her self to the world and we respected her wishes...We did the pushing and advising of going further but this is the time for her and she wants make everyone happy now with her voice. She will always be a great singer now in all country's after performing on AGT only because it is her own wish right now...enjoy all her songs everyone and in the future also...Glennis enjoy all the joy you will get now allover the world...you deserve it with your voice!

The Soundmix Show was the first vocal talent show on TV in the world back in 1994. Officially it was an imitation competition (after an earlier TV show, The Playback Show, where contestants only lip-synced to music tracks), but it turned out to be a talent competition since several Dutch singers made a career after winning the show. Glennis Grace won this show, but her career didn't really pickup speed until her first hit "Afscheid" in 2011. It's a shame this extremely talented singer didn't get her international breakthrough before that due to mismanagement.
It is indeed a shame, but she may be just in time for the revival of these type of songs. So many people want to hear her, with the attention she is getting now, she will definitely be shining internationally from now on.
It also still amazes me how shit the song was that she went to the eurovision with... I was expecting so much when I heard she was going, but then I heard the song...

Nice thoghts, I'm pretty sure if Glennis was born in the USA she would've shared at least the same fame and recognition as Whitney, Mariah, Celine. It's weird though since Glennis has a very similar tone as Whitney and to think that she could've coexisted in the same level as them. But now it's her time and I hope the world learns to admire this unique talent.

Glennis is great, but Whitney's voice was somewhat warmer and more soulfull. I do hear a difference. And then there are the looks. Glennis is beautiful, but Whitney was downright stunning and charismatic in her prime. She truly was the total package!

Glennis is a 90s diva, born 5-7 years too late. Great singers (Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Lara, etc.) made huge international careers in the late 80s thru the 90s. Had Glennis been born 7 years earlier, it might have been a different story.
I don't think that was the reason, she made her career in the Netherlands and no more than that. TH-cam was founded in 2005 and it's logical nobody except her own country and some people from the EU knew her. If she was in the USA at this age of 16 and performed in an american tv show, she would've definitely made it through, I mean who would ignore this powerful golden voice, she would've been in the same league as Whitney, Mariah, Celine. Now in 2018, she's 40 and the best vocalist out there. Who can keep that healthy powerful voice at 40, only Glennis.
