She was arrested for violence towards a minor employee of a supermarket. Supposedly because the son of Glennis Grace was asked to stop vaping in the store. In the Netherlands it is common for "stars" to behave "normal" otherwise the vast majority of people will hate you. So you don't vape in stores and when you do, you stop when asked. You don't fight over it. We have a proverb that goes "doe maar gewoon dat is gek genoeg" or "act normal that is crazy enough" and she clearly broke that. We do make a clear destinction between her talent and her personality. Amazing singer, with a terrific voice yes. But also not very courteous or chivalrous towards people she rates lower then herself, at least in the case of the supermarket incident.

Whitney Houston had one of the greatest voices in modern music. I've heard many decent singers attempt to cover this song - very few have got anywhere near the vocal range, required to hit notes that Whitney did. Then along came Glennis Grace. She's the first singer I've heard since WH, to bring the greatness back to this song and truly do it justice it deserves. If you close your eyes, there are points in the above video,, where you could almost be listening to Whitney, herself. That's quite an incredible feat. Well done, GG.

It's because Glennis really loved Whitney and is still her biggest fan. She was inspired by Whitney and started singing and won her first TV talent at 15 yo with "One Moment In Time" back in 1994. That's why.
This is the first time I've heard Glennis sing and she can really deliver on a song. She does have qualities that sound like Whitney but she has a real set of pipes and can sing on her own.
There are many people who can sing Whitney songs well, but the tone and emotive nature of her delivery is elusive. This woman is tapping in to those elusive qualities.

When Glennis sings Whitney's songs, it feels like she sings her love to the legend herself. That makes her different than any singers trying to cover W's songs. When other singers sing W's song, they seem like in pain or something😅

It's because Glennis really loved Whitney and is still her biggest fan. She was inspired by Whitney and started singing and won her first TV talent at 15 yo with "One Moment In Time" back in 1994. That's why.

This is the first time I've heard Glennis sing and she can really deliver on a song. She does have qualities that sound like Whitney but she has a real set of pipes and can sing on her own.
