Hi Alex, just imagine Ben Hogan and all the previous masters of the game if they had the clubs and balls of today when they were in their prime. That would be interesting to see how they’d compare with the masters of today. 👍😎🇦🇺
Hi Alex, another great tip to start my day. I must say that last weeks tips lowered my score by 4 shots (12 handicap currently), didn’t win the competition as two players with much higher handicaps scored better, however, this didn’t bother me at all as my game was simply about my own improvements (thanks to your tips) and it made for a much more enjoyable round. I also felt like I could’ve easily played another 18 holes as well. 👍😎🇦🇺
@@AlexElliottGolf Thanks Alex. Hopefully you will also have a few more subscribers to your channel as I played in a group where I knew the other 3 and as you know, all of Melbourne’s courses and driving ranges have been closed due to Covid lockdowns so they were keen to find out how I’d improved, when each of the other 3 were higher to handicap. Maybe I should’ve kept my secret weapon (you) to myself. However, I’ve always been someone who “pays it forward”. Keep them coming mate. Cheers, Marcus.
Absolutely brilliant... Just did 2 hours at the range here in Thailand. Of all your videos this is the one that's helped me the most. First 20 minutes felt very uncomfortable...I felt stuck but then it clicked. I didn't once throw the club and when done it felt so good. Cheers Alex
I carry in the winter and only take 9 clubs out as it saves my back. You have to improvise when needing one of those missing 5 clubs! Great video Alex.
When something works one hesitate to introduce a new different “great” drill. I have already learnt so much from you which have led to great results. OK, Ok I will try this one but then I think I got stop altering an already functional swing. Thank you Alex for a great channel. Best regards, Olle
I've been working on this, and I think separation could be the key to getting the club shallowing, dropping behind me and then under and over. I had the feel for the best 4 holes I've ever played I think, weeks ago, but couldn't get it back...I'm thinking separation as you show might be what has been missing for me. I've been working on how it feels behind me so much that I've been missing the shallowing aspect of separation. It just might be the missing piece. Thank you.
Alex, Ben Hogan used to hit a lot of low flighted piercing balls but can you hit a higher lofted flighted ball with this method and if so, what adjustments do you need to make to do it? 👍
#100club. As a right handed person who golfs left, I find this somewhat difficult but I will stay with it. Thank you Alex. I wish we could carry 18 clubs. One for each hole out there. Grin.
Great vid Alex. Can you please explain the back leg/foot feeling. To me it looks like all your rotation was done whilst on the back leg. I’ve been shifting my weight too early onto the front foot. Maybe the key is to spend more time on the back leg through transition?
Correct me if I’m wrong but to get this working correctly you have to keep arms dead(tension free) and no jerking from the top? Too many golfers watch these excellent video instructions and then try these moves with tight locked arms and shoulders
Before the 14 club rule guys were out on tour with 20 or more clubs in the bag when playing a tournament round - did they worry about losing skills with using fewer or more clubs???
you do the same thing you did as a kid as you would so you could skip stones on the water... just think you are skipping stones on water on you downswing.....
Are you searching for more power?? YES? Course you are! Ben Hogan new this now you can do it to!

Personally speaking, this has to be one of your best videos!! I have got so much from this, thanks mate 👌
Glad you enjoyed it! thank you so much
Hi Alex,

brill! very good to hear

So do you think it is a good thing??
By having less clubs and getting out of your comfort zone, by say learning punch shots, it can only make you a better player. So I’d say yes.
@@stevebatty2518 I couldn’t agree more Steve!!
Outstanding video!!!
Looking frwd to practice.
I love your passion Eliot, if only I had the funds for a trip to the UK 😉
Woops... Alex

Wonderful lesson, thank you for such clear instructions.
you’re welcome!

Great explanation Alex.
This is a great lesson, thanks.
You're a legend. I owe you about 10 strokes on my handicap this year
thank you pal
Nice one Alex!
Great lesson a lot of good things happen when you just do that one move with your shoulder throwing your right arm under your chin
#100club. As a right handed person who golfs left, I find this somewhat difficult but I will stay with it. Thank you Alex. I wish we could carry 18 clubs. One for each hole out there. Grin.

yeah it’s just making sure you also aren’t leaning back
thanks a lot for teaching me Pro's secret!^^
👍👍👍...which would you prefer Alex..Modus iron shafts or Elevate shafts? Great vid as usual...
iron shafts

Hi Alex does this technique apply to the driver as well?
yeah
Before the 14 club rule guys were out on tour with 20 or more clubs in the bag when playing a tournament round - did they worry about losing skills with using fewer or more clubs???
Best video
One second I’m hitting 300 yards drives next low hooks this could be my problem
I vote for 15 clubs! I want to add a 7 Wood without giving up a wedge!
Tried this today as a novice and added on at least 20 yards and still think there is more to come when the swing becomes more natural
wow belle lecon de golf
I don’t know about 10 clubs , I feel like I could do with 25 🤔😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣
He gets more out of ten clubs by adjusting the club face lofts through the bag, maybe?
I’m playing with 11 and have not lost a stroke. Sooooo….
11 what? Handicap? Get to course and get thee a money game..
you do the same thing you did as a kid as you would so you could skip stones on the water... just think you are skipping stones on water on you downswing.....
Go to a lake or pond and Skip Rocks. Skipping a rock is what your right arm does naturally during the golf swing
