It would be cool if his blades and projectiles were green to keep em consistent with DOOM Classic, and he would bleed green but that would take a while considering that's gonna need custom scripting, AFAIK all monsters use the same blood textures, so it either all blood would be green or bust.
2016 has the best Baron design, Eternal has the best Baron health/damage/aggression. I'd also like if they removed the flaming blades. It makes him look like just a bigger Dread Knight.
@@bludstaynd7999 according to doom lore, the barons in eternal are a descendant from the 2016 barons, so it'd be possible to put both barons in the next doom game, with 2016 barons attacking at a distance like how barons did in doom 1 and 2, and the barons from eternal could be more aggressive and attack in cqc (close quarters combat), and also the barons from eternal could also be immune to fire based attacks and not drop armor because in their codex entry it states the looked that due to being close to a fire pit if i remember correctly, making them a priority target. And since we are using the 2016 baron of hell design we could bring the og hell knight design from doom 2 and have function just like the 2016 baron of hell, but smaller (around the size of eternal's hell knight) and have them be less aggressive, and why not have a dread knight with the og hell knight skin but mechanized and will function just like the new hell knight but more aggressive and more powerful, but not as much as a baron. SO basically we'd have eternal's hell knights, dread knights, and barons who will fight up close, and then variants with the original design from doom 2 and fight at a distance.
With Eternal being moreso about celebrating all aspects of Doom, including the cartoony and funny elements, I really wish the Baron looked like this, I think the current Barons design is just too bland and doesn't visually pop until you shoot at him and he becomes generic lava demon.
In general my vote goes to 2016 for demon design. Especially the Hell Knight, which looks so much cooler and scarier without eyes, and the Mancubus, with the organic shell-cannons further differentiating it from the Cyber-Mancubus.
I'm willing to go as far as to say doom 2016 had more replay value. Me and my lads have gone back to snapmap and it's the funnest thing. We all got bored of Battlemode and horde mode
