I loved watching them. The world is a little less brighter without them.

I think Clarissa calling Jenifer eccentric is hysterical. 😀

Funny this should come up at this particular moment, because I am reading Clarissa's autobiography "spilling the beans". I loved watching these two ladies go at it in the kitchen, their friendly banter was legendary, I miss them both. RIP.

This is by far, the best cooking show ever.

Anyone know the episode at 3:26 when Jennifer talks about growing up on Yangtze water. It looks like Clarissa is making a terrine, but the pheasant terrine she makes in the Game episode they are in a different kitchen and she uses a load tin rather than a proper terrine dish.

What an unkind brother - she was not a sturdy child and most certainly she was not a sturdy teenager or young adult.

Her younger brother, Charles & Uncle seemed very kind/nice (& funny!🤣) but the rest of the family they interviewed for this documentary, especially the women in the family, seemed very cold & unfeeling, especially w/their rather obvious preference of boy children over girls: VERY damaging & there are long-term consequences for treating children this way.

Jennifer’s brother, Charles Paterson, is hilarious & reminds me quite a lot of Jennifer w/a similar sense of humor, expressions, & a gleeful personality! 🤣

Absolutely one of the most "delicious" documentaries ever made!
Anyone know the actual name of the song Jennifer and that man were singing? Mama Cara, or some such, while Jennifer is shaking the the cocktail shaker.
    Too fun.
    What a character.

It's a famous Brazilian song called "Mamae Eu Quero". it was made famous by Carmen Miranda in 1940 in a film called "Down Argentine Way"

I would also like to know what made them almost incapicated with laughter.
Too young for me to figure it out?

Tyler Fitzgerald It means (I Want My Mama)
Mamãe eu quero, mamãe eu quero
      Mamãe eu quero mamar!
Dá a chupeta, dá a chupeta, ai, dá a chupeta
Dá a chupeta pro bebê não chorar!
      Dorme filhinho do meu coração
Pega a mamadeira em vem entra no meu cordão
Eu tenho uma irmã que se chama Ana
De piscar o olho já ficou sem a pestana
      Eu olho…
