    Toyota does not protect this area from rodent infestation because the drains for water going into this vent on each side are open and large enough for mice/rats. When they get in here, they have access to your AC blower (if you are lucky you have a filter before that but they can also eat their way through the filter)

    Thanks again ad always, Peter! 👍 Can the rubbish that accumulated affect the operation of the blower motor,? I recently have a lot of vibration from the blower motor ,feelable in the steering wheel. Specifically when i turn up the AC. Take care!

    Compressed air would be useful for cleaning out screen(s) for intake.

    Peter, to clean those meshes you have to do it outside the engine you are dropping more trash to the engine.

    Is there any torque requirement for those small screws that tight down the filter net and the 2 wiper arms ? How much torque or just hand tight for them ?

      Yes, add fresh coffee flour to floor. And keep flour there about 4 monhs.
