Toyota does not protect this area from rodent infestation because the drains for water going into this vent on each side are open and large enough for mice/rats. When they get in here, they have access to your AC blower (if you are lucky you have a filter before that but they can also eat their way through the filter)
Thanks again ad always, Peter! 👍 Can the rubbish that accumulated affect the operation of the blower motor,? I recently have a lot of vibration from the blower motor ,feelable in the steering wheel. Specifically when i turn up the AC. Take care!
Reinaldo Gonzalez - You do realise that this car he is working on it just scrap right? The entire bonnet is missing and when you look at how old the engine is, it clearly has not been driven for years.....
@@killbot86 still...all the debris thrown into the engine should not be shown to someone who doesn't know how delicate car engine are these days. All plastic crap.
Is there any torque requirement for those small screws that tight down the filter net and the 2 wiper arms ? How much torque or just hand tight for them ?

Compressed air would be useful for cleaning out screen(s) for intake.
Good call!
A little vacuum would give better results.
Thanks for info. :-)
That was my first thought, but as someone else pointed out, this is just a junker car he's using to make demo videos. Thanks Peter! This was helpful.
Peter, to clean those meshes you have to do it outside the engine you are dropping more trash to the engine.
Thanks Sir. 🙂

Just use the German torque specs, Gutentight

When knocking out the debris you shouldn’t do it over the engine,
