It was wild to see the discard player hit the absolute nut with discard and when you didnt auto scoop they were all "well shit, I'm out of ideas" and then scooped themselves Its like those blue decks that run exclusively counter magic that scoop if you ever actually make anything stick to the board
I mean, if you ever actually played a deck like that, you'd know that there's not much they can actually do once there's anything on the board, so no reason to stick around.
You definitely hit the nail on the head by mentioning blue counter spell decks. In my experience control players are the most fragile ones - as soon as their "imaginary perfect plan" cracks - they run.
I run a temur doppel deck for a while too. I just don't use many creatures besides a Roxanne and the Boilerbilges. Mine has way more burn in it to try to survive early, like Fires of Victory, Brotherhood's end, and pawpatch formation, along with bounce/token copying with Season of Weaving, etc. I'll try this much more creature-focused one and see how it feels. I don't know if This Town Ain't Big Enough is enough to save you from all the aggro. Also, doppelgang is such an easy card to misplay with. I catch myself realizing I had lethal all the time. Also, if you doppelx4 on lands, the spell gives you more mana than you started, if you ever find yourself in a position with multiple doppels. But even if you split it, like using doppelx4 on 2 overlords and 2 lands, that would still give you enough mana to do Doppelx2 right after that. Just things to consider if you only have one overlord to copy. You can use the first doppel to give yourself more targets for the second doppel.
I agree. I run a similar deck, but I've opted for a couple Pyroclasm, just as an easy weenie sweep. And they've proven themselves extremely helpful. Even if it feels "wasted" at the time getting one creature off the board.
The copy room is insane in this deck, double trigger and copy creature (and the copy is doubled if you open the trigger room first)... with just one that card on board, you can insta kill the opponent (only downside is that you need to have the creature on board to copy, it cannot copy the impending enchantment). That makes it a lot more likely to get the combo going though, and it also doubles all the bean stalk (not cornucopia for some reason) triggers, AND the impeding counters for the overlords
yeah and the copy is doubled if you open fractured realm first... also fractured realm doubles the beans and the impending counter triggers (along with the overlords attack triggers obviously)

Those decks love to scoop to fountain port and mirrex 😂

@@MetalHev except for being a better person and actually playing the game?

Screaming Nemesis is a great Doppel target. Especially with the Banner down.
In the slasher game I was so hoping he would dopplegang that
@hughesjimmythehand me too!
You were talking about the opp g1 should have took the blue overlord. But opp couldn't take it with duress
Not a deck I’d normally run but still a fun idea. Keep up the great work man, cheers!

Another great Vid Swayze! Legend 😎
Pretty tempting to invest some wildcards for this one. Best of all there's NO F"ING BLACK IN IT!
Lmao shock that Swayze's highlight clip is also full of mistakes 😂
Doppelgang should be renamed Shenanigans.
You're right but shenanigans is a card and it's way less cool than dopplegang
And every face on the card is CGB’s lol
The Virtue is nice but Fractured Realm is better.*(it just costs 2 more but also lets you create a token copy of an Overlord.)
>costs 2 more
Now Doppelgang and Mirror Room/ Fractured Realm I can definitely see being crazy.

Golgari ramp did well at the tournament known as world championship afair haha
I just faced this deck 😅
I mopped the deck lol it was almost the exact same deck
What were you playing?
@@hughesjimmythehand green black, Lilly and cruelty of gix that cause them issues.
Game 1. Discard is so terrible. If you empty the opponent’s hand 1/2 your deck is useless. If your opponent is drawing, discard can’t keep up.
This deck is terrible but ive been running something similar but a little less greedy
