Small world in the early C6 crowd! The Z51 sways are noticable larger than the base version. If you do upgreade the sway bar make sure to add some aftermarket end links. The factory end links are not great. I haven't been in a car with the smallest sway bar offerings, but the difference from Z51 to Z06 is marginal so I have no plan to upgrade mine until I get better as a driver.
Nice channel Sir. I, like you work on my own stuff. I have a C5 and have replaced my anti-sway bars with a Z51 in the front and an aftermarket in the rear. I did both with new end links. Finding the Z51 stuff keeps your prices down considerably. The rear was $200 I think and is thicker than stock. My car handles like it’s on rails now. Thank you for taking time out to do this video. Z51 for MOST of us is plenty. I can pretend I use my degree and look at how much stronger a Z06 or aftermarket sway bar is but honestly my stock Z51 is plenty stiff for the caliber driver than I am.
Do you think you could replace the sway bar bushings without removing the sway bar from the car? It looks like you could just remove the bushing clamps and bushings in place, although you may have to pry the sway bar outward a little bit.
I bought them directly from Quick Jacks during one of their Black Friday sales a few years back. Don't remember the price. My car is a little lower than stock. I have (2) 1" boards that I drive on for each tire that raises the car about 1.75". That gets me the ability to get the Quck Jacks under it.
I had to go to a therapist. (j/k) I had the most annoying squeak coming from somewhere in the front of my 2008. Turned out to be the shock absorbers! Next project: The dreaded harmonic balancer...😬
Look at what channel I found!!! I’m thinking about putting z51 sways on my 2008 base model. People say it’s a massive improvement.

@@ktriebol on the front 100% yes. Rear you might be able to but would need to loosen the end links too.
Nice video 📹 wanted to no where you got lift from an where an price? What else did you put under car to jack it up?

@@robarnt6 I replaced shocks first. HB takes a bit. Just finished make earlier this summer.
Where did you find the bushings? OEM is discontinued.
I found mine from Zip Corvette. Confirm what size you need before ordering.
