The first time I heard this I was convinced it was Portishead featuring a vocal collaboration between Shirley Manson and Tricky(as the latter two did on the Garbage track "Milk"). The similarities are uncanny.
It's totally the best chapter song. The way they broke it up and change it a little every time is absolutely perfect thematically. Man, it's a total shame that Poe wasn't able to make music for over a decade because of some ridiculous legal battle. Tragedy.
