This rally really demanded a lot from the drivers, just as it always should. This is what I love to see: man and machine testing themselves against unbridled nature
Whoever finished the rally with their car intact is doing the Safari Rally all wrong.
This has got to be the best rally of 2022 so far. There are certainly too many uncertainties.
I was dispatched from Europe to Kenya and Uganda, and during my stay in Kenya in May, I witnessed two safari rallies.
What power, what speed, what technology, screaming engine, soaring dust, everything is the best!

WRC DRIVERS ARE ON ANOTHER LEVEL. I've admired F1 and WRC since I was a child, and not to underestimate the capacity n ability of F1 drivers, but let's face it, THE CONDITIONS THAT RALLY DRIVERS HAS TO COMPETE ARE FOR MEN , NOT FOR ANYBODY WITH A RICH DAD OR PADRINO WHO BOUGHT YOUR SIT, is for BROS WITH HUGE EGGS. They are less controlled environments, limited space n range to mistakes, the stages change extremely quickly. in f1 if it rains the circuit is the same, only the braking zones and race line change due to the grip., bur circuit itself doesn’t change. In rally if it rains, where there was supposed to be a curve, it has become a shapeless horizon of mud and stones. WRC in general (drivers, teams, engineers, mechanics, The F awesome cars, the FIA parameters and development of car safety for drivers, physics and many things are not valued as they should
Agree galloping at max speed in rough terrain like this that has very loose grip is insane

I hope Codemasters are taking notes, and will represent this rally properly in their upcoming 2023 game. So many different surfaces: feshfesh, "normal" gravel, mud... this year was a *proper* Safari! Glad to hear Oliver enjoyed it despite the somewhat disappointing result

Codemasters must pull out of the rally game.
They monopolize the license and only produce trash arcade games that don't have a physical engine.
As long as Codemasters exist, gamers cannot meet high-quality rally games.

Generally Hyundai is a weaker car compared to Yaris but still,our Hyundai drivers,i can bet my last coin they are the best in WRC CURRENTLY.

Safari Rally is like asking the drivers... But can you really drive and survive????😅 This kind of challenges makes the rally really unpredictable and fan to watch. Not just the best driver wins but the team that can most adapt to off road settings..

Yo I would be docking points ever 3 tires leaving the road. It's still a rally asholes, I came for a show but got a circus.
These videos have too many crashes. I like rally racing, crashes happen, but there's a lot more to it than that, and crashing isn't the most interesting part.

This was in a national reserve the roads are meant to be that way cause the only cars there are huge 4x4 land cruisers that can handle the terrible road

I can bet on my life that these guys cannot beat our own road champions"miraa proboxes" and the only reason the later dont participate is because they dont understand how one can drive fast for a whole day without delivering anything.total waste of time to them .
Whuy dont the winner go to meru, load 2 tonnes of miraa in a probox with a tare weight of 1 tonne,drive at 200km per hour nonstop for 300km

Why do they love this kind of roads
If you follow Wrc rally, they race in all kind of roads. Some drivers are better on tarmac, others on gravel and others on snow.
The championship is full of smooth gravel and tarmac rallies, so a proper car breaker like Kenya is a welcome addition. A "complete" champion doesn't just know how to drive fast, but also when and where to drive slower (to avoid damage). It's unfortunate we lost Turkey, that one was pretty rough as well.
