It is great that he has been able to help out people he knows when they needed some help. Selling a guitar back to the original owner for what he had paid means he lost money on the deal when you factor in the cost of inflation.
With all respect to James Burton, Dan Gatton, Albert Lee, and Frank Reckard, Vince is THE best Tele player, and country guitar player, ever! 20 years older than Vince, I have seen them all!
I challenge anyone to find a nicer, equally humble, genuinely nice guy than Uncle Vince…especially one that has been that way his whole life. Hollywood, Nashville, etc could use a lot more Vince Gill’s!
