Very interesting tutorial! I always start with crossbow and bow but it could be a nice change to start up with an improvised gun! I need to check if I can slap a silencer on it. You see... I love to be "slient and (possibly) deadly"

Hey :) I am glad that you found at least one thing to take away from the video. Thank you for the feedback. :) Yes the bow and arrow or crossbow is good as well, but I find it quite interesting having a weapon and enough ammo early game. You can surprise anyone with a shell in the face :D Found myself multiple times early game where I would wished for a gun.
I run the improvised bow like no other. Easily the best for a stealthy survival and the bow reloads way faster.

how did you make your backpack and axe when theres not enough space to put all items needed for the backpack, it wont let me stack the rags
Hey MasterRoan :) You craft it on site. First you craft a stone knife and find an area with 2 or more bushes. Then chop down the bushes and craft an tree bark rope. If you still have a long stick laying around, take it in your weapon slot, take the rope in inventory and the knife in hands and search for another 2 rocks. When you find them craft a small axe head. When you are done you have the axe.
Now you do the courier/ improvised backpack (rags and rope). You take your axe and chop down a tree, then chop the branch into sticks and from the sticks you make rope. From your undershirt, underwear or socks you get the rags. Now you craft the backpack.
Everything is crafted on site not taking the items with you. If you would want to there are ways to carry the items, but it is a loss of time .

so you dont ned a Tool Box or anything Relate it to that category cuz when trying to Craft a Metal sward you do, Unless is like you say to fully go Advance Engineer ? there's little explanation about how this game works like tutorials in game or maybe I'm just being Lazy 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂ But TY for these fine Tips it will now save My Bee-Hind in many way, Freind'O'
A short list with some tips and tutorials is presented if you go to inventory and press 4 - Journal. You can read about what is prompted to you there and follow the tutorials. Advanced Engineering will not replace any tools or item that you need, it only reduces the cost of crafting and building. The higher your engineering, the less resources you need to build/ craft/

Cool! some spots are better then others to craft things you need. My issue is now I die from Infections. I can not find a video that clearly explains. How to treat infections. Except by AntiBiotics. Which I can never find before I die. Do you have a video on how to treat infections once you get them?
Hey Prophet 🙂 Nice to have you here. Thank you for your feedback 🙂. The “how to treat infections video” is on the list and will be posted soon. Best way to treat infections is by preventing them, that means whenever you find soap, wash your chlothes (right click - wash all). This is cheapest and easiest way. Now, if you already got the infections, either they will go away by default due to your immune system (STR,CON) or unfortunately antibiotics are the way to go, because phoenix tears are too expensive and hard to get. There is one more test I have to do for the video: alchool and steril bandages clear up infections.

@@POPCORNGameMovia Great!~ I keep dying only from infections. It gotten annoying. It always happens I get it in first 5-10 mins. The first Z I fight. Then I die 20 mins later. My STR is 3 but my CON is 2 so maybe that why it does not go away? Bummer..I guess I have to run from every Z no matter what. Till I get my Con to 3. I know some Drinks can treat it. But not sure how. I pured it on the wounds. As it clearly says Treat Button on. Does nothing.
@@prophetseven728 From what I have experienced so far, infections were going away by themselves with 4 STR and 2 CON. In the same time when I had 3 STR 3 CON the infections were not affecting the body so much, but the injuries were going into recovery together with the infections and they were staying in recovery until I took antibiotics, then infections was cured and the recovery was doing its job. There might be slight changes altough I doubt it because this was happening in the past 3 weeks. To be honest I was afraid of the infections at the beginning but I never bother with them anymore because for me they were not a real threat. I was hit by zombies many times had infections but never had real issues from the infections regardless if I treated them or not.
No, 20 minutes will not see you get a gun, 120 hours in and i have 4 AK mags that do not fit my AK...
Hey bud :) U do agree that it can be hard, but I do suggest to choose the servers that you play on (if you play multiplayer) accordingly to your expectation :) By this I mean that if you play on a low loot server, or hardcore, the loot is scarce, A vanilla server is harder to find nowadays, official servers are kind of wild west no rules and no admins. On the other side I can suggest some of the servers that have a good balance in everything: SCUM-Map Gang Gold Rush and District 13. Now you can also try Noob Land or other easier servers, but as I mentioned, try to read about the server and then start investing time into it if you think it is worth it :)
I do hope that this helps a bit more :) A good place where you can find all servers info and more than that is scum-map.com. There are many interesting things that might get you started and help alot.

I want to play default ATM as i am new and believe that's the way it should be played with balance being done by devs, not to knock custom rules, the mechs are a PITA, but custom stuff i feel may have too many die hards and not enough "balance" between skill levels...
At some point i intend to have a couple games on the go at once, a default and a custom, but steep learning curve and so much to work out makes that too much right now...

Glad that I could help at least a bit :) what I would suggest is that the easiest way to learn the game in a quick way is to find a team to join on a multiplayer server. They will help you out discover the basics much more easier and see the best practices. I do think that on any SCUM server if you join their discoed server there is a channel called "looking for team/ group" where people are recruiting for their squads. Some of them do recruit new comers to the game, some of them prefer more experienced player. For sure you can add your skills to any squad and take it from there.
If you do not have too much time to play on a regular basis, you can ofc play in SP or look for a squad that casually plays the game, once a week or so. Wish you all the best and happy gaming :)

Haven't watched the video but if i have to watch a video on how to play a game its already a bad start. ok to get a good start you must suicided. another reason games like these need procedural generated . i so want to like this game but its not making it easy. no sorry if this is how to get a good start its not very realistic.
Hey killacos :) Sorry to hear that. This video is more of a "go around" rather than the game start experience. Indeed I cannot be absurd and say that the game is perfect or flawless, I do have my own complains about it (which are not few :D ), but overall I do think it is a nice experience playing the game and decide what you want to achieve by playing the game.
Once you set your expectations, you will know for sure if you like and want to play the game. TO be honest what I like the most is either get a chill roam around, looting and build bases, or the other extreme by teaming up and work my ass to raid all the bases on the server (which can be really fun) but hard enough :)

The game dropped me here by chance (just purchased SCUM yesterday), and I've been killed in no minute by 2 zombies-like creatures... so for me, this is not a good starting point, I had a spear though... oh, and I couldn't outrun the bastards.
Hey Lazlo :) I am sorry to hear that, zombies can be a pain. Having in mind that you just bought the game, I highly recommend to get used to all the mechanics in the game (healing, crafting and melee would be good) and then to take it up a notch and take over bigger chunks of zombies.
In the video might seem easy, but I kind of know the zombies spawn points and I know what to expect and where to run at the scrap yard. If you run from zombies inside the compound you will be surrounded by a horde in no time :)
Taking them down one by one is easier, more tactical, and try to run outside the compound and to attract them in small groups (2-3 max).
On the other side, I can recommend you to spawn in the snow biome, in D1. In top left corner of D1 and top mid half of the sector you will find a police station, a vehicle, grocery store, gas station, car shop for gas canisters and almost all you need to get going. The cold will be a small issue but you can do it just fine.
Another spot that I can recommend and it is pretty good is either B4 trader area (small villages to find good loot) or Z3 trader area (medium cities with plenty of loot, race track close by for toolboxes, and other good spots).
