Absinthe can be found in the world and can be used as well which is even cheaper and easier.
Yeah I was gonna say about Absinth which can be found in abundance in bar fridges. Also the dirtiness of your initial wound is also determined by 2 factors, your clothing dirtiness and the puppets clothing dirtiness.
If you are going to use soap to clean your clothes I would recommend cleaning your upper body clothing first if you have limited supplies of soap. The top half of your body is the most common body parts to get wounded when hit of a puppet so keeping the top half clothing clean will decrease the initial wound dirtiness percentage.
Apparently taking your clothes off and submerging yourself in water is suppose to help clean the wounds too but I'm yet to test this myself.
I played for the first time last night. Found absinthe. Didn't take it. Now I have an untreated infection and I'm logged out near a scrapyard

Just think, for many generations mothers have told their sons and daughters, "Always wear clean underwear". Well, if those sons and daughters listened to their mother, but still became career criminals and got sentenced to SCUM, they can at least have clean rags to dress their wounds with.
I'm guessing vodka will also work as a disinfectant, but probably not any other booze or beer unless the game only checks if it has any alcohol at all.

I had an issue with infected wounds persisting in recovery phase until I took off all of my dirty clothing associated with the infected part of the body. And then the wounds finally resolved completely

I want to add that when you treat wound with alchohol it's effects droping down by the time, so maybe U will need to do it again or multiple times to incrase it's effect and stop infection came back until stabilization process is over.

I didn't know if you lie or sit down it increases recovery. And now i will remember to use alcohol to clean the wound then apply rags later
On the same backup save on SP with advanced medical
it took a C3 chest wound with infection to totaly heal:
-4min treated the wound with absinth and then with normal rags
-5min treated with sterile bandage_NOTE: you don't need to strip clothes, so very useful in cold areas
-almost 15min just treated the C3 wound with rags
-almost 20min just treated the C3 wound with dirty rags which I took off in recovery stage
so without contamination treatment, it takes a hell of a lot to clear the contamination
but your body will recover if you give it enough time laying down

Absinthe Father has the same effect as Isopropyl Alcohol but is a few hundred credits cheaper (at the Saloon)... and you can drink it for 500 cal of energy in a pinch, as long as you don't mind a bit of double-vision for a few minutes. You can keep the bottle to fill with other liquids when it runs out too, not sure if you can do that with the with the Iso Alcohol bottle.
If you're buying it, the only advantage I can see to the Iso Alcohol is that it weighs 0.8kg when full vs 1.0kg for the Absinthe, since both take up two inventory slots and have 10 uses.
100 % Agree. Forgot to mention the Absinthe which is even cheaper and can be found.
My first death happenned because of wound infection that I didn't know how to treat. And untill this video I thought cleaning clothes was just aesthetic. I know I keep repeating myself, but I wish I knew this before. Thanks a bunch! Now I know I can stay alive that much better!

This is the model I followed regarding my message today. C1 injuries, did not have any rags, didn't have soap or alcohol. Laid down, removed clothing. Immediate infections instantly upon removing clothing. A whole pack of antibiotics and 4 garlic later, no clothes and laid down infections reset after recovery bar was at fully healed on all wounds and infections. Infections started over when should've been healed. I have advanced medical. Constitution 2.0. Not sure what else I may of done wrong. Soap wasn't an option, and no alcohol as mentioned I didn't think we needed to treat C1 aside from laying down and removing clothes if clean not available. I have a good diet. All vitamins were green. Carbs about half way protein was full. Water full.
And I hope I'm not being a pest. I really want to learn and your the best there is. If its my misteak I need to correct it to survive. 😊 If it is a bug then others should know and maybe we can figure out how to improvise until a patch by devs.
Make sure you always have alcohol on you and antiseptic rags and see if that helps. First clean with wound with alcohol and then place the bandage. I havent had that problem yet but will test it

It means the its getting worse and needs absinthe to clean and clean bandages or antibiotics
Any bunker has anti-biotics. One full clear usually yields 1-2 anti biotics. The A0 bunker has mulitple medical rooms in it...i want to say 7-8 rooms on the second and third floors where these drop.

I think "wash all" works like it cleans 10% for every use of a soap on a dirty item,
so for a 7/10 soap and a 85% dirty item "wash all" will get the item to 15% dirtiness

I put Absinthe on the wound, it starts healing, but it only lasts a few seconds
Take off clothing that touches the wounds as well because your dirty clothing is infecting it as well. Applying a clean rag helps as well

Tequila is also good for desinfecting the wounds directly, not sure if you can also use it for the rags.

@@peterhospodar7876 hey yeah, as I said, not too sure about desinfecting rags with tequila, but pretty sure I poured it down the wounds once in Samobor at the night club or what it's called. Seemed to work.
