I didn’t want to put this in the video, as I thought it would undermine a lot of the effort I put into it, but boy I wasn’t happy with how this one turned out. If there is one thing I learned during the recording of this, it's that reading from a script is shockingly harder than I expected. Next time I do something like this I won’t simply be reading from a reddit post. I couldn’t hear until after I was doing the audio edit how much those sentences ran on and on. By that point I had already switched my gears to simply wanting to get this uploaded so I could get onto the next video. My microphone setup is also proving to be very unrobust, as I can’t find a location in my house that isn’t hardwood flooring and large open spaces with lots of ambient noise, and even though I had my gain turned to the lowest it could go, you could still hear the noise, as well as every gross little mouth noise I made. In the future I’ll have to work on getting a better recording so that the audio edit isn’t so nightmarish, like in all forms of production, it's much easier to simply use good footage or a good recording than to try and fix it in post.
Oh well, lesson learned and onto the next one. I’m going to focus on smaller videos for a while so that I have time to practice recording into the mic and making the narration more interesting to listen to.
I’m thinking about dipping into covering some cryptids or conspiracy stuff as it’s a guilty pleasure of mine. I don’t believe in most of them, but some of them are incredibly creative and have whole mythologies behind them that I think are genuinely inspiring.
The actual game I ran is called the Silvyr Tower, and it’s a one-shot campaign specifically designed for new DMs. I recommend it completely, very useful stuff especially if you are someone who hasn’t run a game in a long time like me.

No matter what video, you seem to always hit it spot on with your description in something that is as simple as telling what happened on a d&d session.

Family get together? Betrayal? DnD? I'm seriously thinking they were going to get locked away for good! Trusting in the process. Leave it to good old pops to turn up! Fun story. I gotta start a campaign myself! You story telling is amazing! Keep going! This content is interesting! Thanks!
