- Jake plays a round of “Who’s High?” in honor of 4/20, and he talks about working on Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant about the many Afghans who helped the U.S. and were left behind, Guy Ritchie barbecuing every day on set, playing a UFC fighter for the reimagining of Road House, getting in crazy shape for the movie, everything being delayed two months because he got COVID, and filming in front of a real UFC crowd.

he was amazing in Prisoners, hugely underrated actor
The way he played the role in prisoners was actually Gyllenhaal's idea, he proposed a detective that was mysterious to make the plot even tighter and more suspenseful.

I went with my gut. It was the way Alex was looking around in the beginning and blinking/paying attention to the other people. I know when I’m high, even if I’m not super anxious, sometimes I’m a lil more attentive and watchful of people around me to try and seem normal.
Yes his talent is incomparable. Multi-faceted and great character acting. He seems to become the personification of the character he is portraying. And on top of all that handsome as hell!!

In all seriousness though, if there were ever an actor in Hollywood who deserved more recognition, it's Jake. He's one of the best in the business. The fact that he has one Oscar nom and no wins is a crime. "Prisoners," "Nightcrawler," "Brokeback," "Nocturnal Animals," "Zodiac"....He's never given a bad performance.
