He seemed a little weird in this but I guess that’s just the nature of the industry he’s a great actor nonetheless and you can tell by the interview. I liked him in night crawler
I had a buddy who had a script he wrote for a road house prequal. It was full of all the stuff that Swayze and Elliot would reminisce about. It was really good.
Seek out an interview with Jake and Dennis Quaid, where Jake pretends like he didn't know they had made a movie together. Look how young he looks. It's a pretty recent interview.
The remake of Road House was excellent. I like that they didn't try to copy the original, and they give its own vibe. Jake was perfect in his role, and surprisingly believable. I never saw him as an "action" actor, but he's one for sure! Also, as a person, Jake has this great aura of positive energy, so strong it reaches all the way to me, through my computer screen, very impressive. Always fun in interviews, always positive, great role model. Patrick would be proud of him.🥰
I wanted to hate this Road House, but I couldn't :) It is a funny watch, at no point do you take any of the violence serious. And Clowner McGregor as an actor makes Terry Funk look like Shakespeare! The Swayze Road House was more serious, and a better watch, but Jake does a good job and has some fun. The best part about the new one is the soundtrack, they got some great music from MANY amazing artists. The original had the late, great Jeff Healey, which added a lot to the movie.
I swear this is true. I was 5 or 6 when I found myself watching Dirty Dancing for the first time. My parents either didn't care or didn't know which btw also a great way of describing every other impactful event from childhood. They're lovely, anyway that began an Obsession. It was an older movie by then just playing on TV but I sonehow got a copy and by the time I entered 3rd grade I must have watched it 500 times. Which is just Weird. I mean weird for that age, it's a damn good movie.
Just saw Road House, I have a long background in combat, including instructing police and security in hand to hand, and urban combat. Worked part time as a bouncer for years, actor / stunt performer. Always finding something smartass to say about contemporary action movies. The fight scenes are out of this world in how they were photographed. Laughed my ass off through the whole movie. 😊😊😂😂👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oh no, you're the guy whose family hates watching movies with because you have to point out "wouldn't happen," "impossible," "fake" through the whole movie 😂😂.
They really don't make movies like the original Road House anymore. I feel like the 80s was the peak decade for where movies were just fun no matter what genre they were. It didn't matter if it was Indiana Jones or Star Wars, Jaws or Alien, ET or Road House, you were in for a good time. Today's movies are just so focused on flashy effects and "cinematic universes" that they've forgotten how to be fun. Movies these days just take themselves so damn seriously.
Movie turns into a Hiassen Florida boat action piece, when all we wanted was to watch a cool dude kick ass on dry land. The Florida boat stuff won't play well out of the South. Fun, though. What if Michal Shannon got to play Jack Reacher? Now we're talkin...
@@humanonearth1 I thought Conor should have played Dalton For a corny remake he woulda been fine They could have found a non ufc fighter with better acting to do the Knox character

RH is a mediocre movie, even on the action level. There are a few fun characters, but way underdeveloped. Jake's Dalton is super dry and he can t make the switch between good guy to unstable revengeful guy in a natural way. He s a good actor, but this role wasn t for him. Conor is fun to watch but over acts everything, could have used a lot more direction, probably they were to afraid to give it to him :D
The original is an awesome movie. I absolutely love Jake. His Role In in the movie Prisoners is Oscar level along with co star. With that said this movie is cringe and for people without taste. The first fight in this movie has CGI in it for no good reason. This movie will be a hit for the people with Tik Tok brain.
This really isn't the direction you want someone with acting chops like Jake to go in. I get it's fun, and why not make a couple million getting ripped. But come on bud, you're bigger than this superficial bs. Reorient to your north star.
"Reorient to your north star" lol I think enjoying his time making a movie is his north star. I love when people comment on TH-cam thinking the celebrities are actually going to read their opinion.
Terrible movie. I watched it after Dune 2 so I now understand Scorsese and his opinion of MCU era. Hollywood is so out of ideas they are now remaking average B-movies from the 80s and 90s... Had so much respect for Jake, this is so beneath him and us as well.
God forbid we have fun movies to watch. Plus, Scorsese has done two remakes. Is Road House a masterpiece? No. But it's an entertaining watch. What's wrong with that?
His laugh and the chemistry between you two is amazing. Superb interview.😂
No matter how old Jake gets, he keeps that youthful boyish charm. He makes me smile.
I love how Jake is himself. I love listening to him make himself giggle. Seth please have Jake on your podcast! 😂❤
Sarcastic Jackal: wait, Seth has a podcast? ;p
For someone that's known for playing mostly dark, serious roles I love how smiley, silly, and fun Jake is as a person. ❤
He's always really funny and humble in interviews.
To me, he'll always be Bubble Boy 😆
@@Zand3rssonThat will be hie Legacy.
first time watching late night tv?
seeing Jake wear a baggy top knowing that he has an absolutely ripped body underneath is such a power move.
yuck such a narcissistic take endemic of our times.
Hahahaha, I agree @@humanonearth1
It's called being humble. Jake is an amazing actor and seems like a based dude.

@kevinblah6877 Totally agree dude :)
Jake looks so young when he shaved. He was so funny, good actor and fun! He looks like when he was in Donnie Darko!cutest side smile ever!
OK, now I need to see Seth running
A movie with "Jake with his shirt off" is all I need to hear. Gonna find a login to borrow so I can watch it 😂❤
There’s something of old fashion in his look. Men didn’t use to wear tight clothes before. And I like it so much, it’s so stylish.
So glad I'm not the only person who watches my favorite movies over and over!!😂

A good idea .. bet he's happy that you put his idea out there

He's such great actor.
Correction: I don't know Jake Gyllenhaal from those movies, I know him from his work in Bubble Boy
There's just something about watching a 1 on 5 guy fight where all the guys are taking slow, terrible, way off target swings that's funny.
Am I watching an interview of Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2000s or wut, he looks really young here

Same, except i always thought id like it
Nahhh hollywood prefab cutout flick that diminishes Jake imo.

Point Break
The Outsiders
Red Dawn
Great Swayze films
