It's 5 o'clock in the morning. The crowd is tired, but blissed out and sliding onto couches everywhere or just laying on the floor, arms around each other and staring at the sky with smiles on their faces. The birds have started singing and there's a light in the Eastern sky that heralds the start of a new day. . . . And then THIS comes on over the speakers and EVERYONE is up and back on it for one last dance!!!
There was a time in the late eighties & early nineties where the last great cultural revolution took place. People of all colours, creeds, sexuality etc. got together & danced the night away to one groove just celebrating being in the moment & together. However the authorities had other ideas as this was something they could neither understand nor control & they certainly felt threatened by it. The criminal justice act was quickly put in place in order to prevent such events taking place & the revolution was quashed. Whilst the ripples of this revolution are still being felt today it's intensity & power to change the world have been diminished. I will always remember those heady days when anything seemed possible & the joy of being together & celebrating life was more important than anything else. Tracks such as this take me back to those days in both mind & spirit which is of great comfort during these dark days we find ourselves in now.

This is my late cousin song we had this played at his funeral back in 1997 27 years ago I get goosebumps just listening to it and it reminds me off my late cousin Marc Aaron Brades R I.P
I can't stop crying. This track and these comments have brought back all the joy of those unique times. We were so lucky to have been there during that brief moment in history. Rave on brothers and sisters! 🙂
@@davehanna6180 No gloves etc But I DID sometimes dance with glowsticks....Not gonna lie (The one that REALLY gets me right in the feelies is FSOL- Papa New Guinea - Ooof!)
Hello to all the old ravers out there who think they are the only ones who listen to this stuff when you've cracked open a beer and the kids have gone off to bed , or are out with their mates, I'm 44 and still love it . Kellys / Ulster Hall fogies ,, you are not alone !
Takes me back to my pirate radio days when i was a dj on Pulse Fm 90.6 based in Hackney, London in 91'. Trust me we had the best times ever back then. That was 31 years ago ffs, where has time gone lol. Im now 57 and those days still and always will shine bright for as long as i live. The sample used from ' First Choice' Let No Man Put Assunder possibly the most sampled track from the 70's Disco era transitioned into house music really captures the vibe in it's first few lines...' Remember the good times don't you want some more '. I'd go back and do it all again if I could. ❤️
Allison Templeton, I'm 47 too, I started raving in late 80's. I lived in Exeter at the time and me and my mates would head up to London for the weekend and go to some amazing underground raves, I remember one in the Elephant and Castle under a bridge or something. And of course the warehouse raves where hundreds of us would blissfully dance until sunrise. Different colour contact lenses were in then, also Doves, strawberry fields and lots more I've forgotten. It felt so so new and exciting then and not many people were in the know about it. I remember feeling so lucky to be part of the first ones on the London rave scene. We would find out where the rave would be about an hour or two before it got started. Going round and round on the M25 in a convoy of cars. Met so many people from all over uk. Literally had some of the best times in my life.
I remember hearing this and itching to go out clubbing, but was too young. Finally found my clubbing legs at 1994 at 5th Avenue in Ilford when I was 15. Thankfully bouncers weren't too hot on ID back then! This was one of the tunes played that night. Love it!
Am 15 goin onto 16 and I’ve been in love with 80/90s rave music for years. Great music passes on no matter the age. To all the old garage, house or trance etc heads out there keep on raving
Swallowed a Rhubarb n custard. 3.30 am standing outside turmills in London I can hear this tune spinning, I get through the door walk down the stairs feeling the rush creep up, I'm at the edge of the dance floor and then BOOM! The bass on this drops. Miss the gd old days!
Me and my mate bunked in the swimming baths after dropping a rhubabrb and custard ,my body tingled all over as my jaw shuddered and the rush tingled up my spine ,eveything sounded crystal clear
you always remember your first E - mine was a Rhubarb and Custard back around 91, in Flicks in Brechin FFS! but still getting off on the same old tunes 27yrs later
Now I'm middle aged, the lyrics "remember the good times, don't you want some more" are bittersweet. To be there when it all happened was a privilege. It was pure magic. I don't go to raves anymore but I got the memories. Peace.
AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC. CLOSE YOUR EYES WHILE YOU LISTEN TO THIS ANDVTAKE YOURSELF BACK TO THE EARLY 90S. YOUR IN THE CLUB DANCING. AS YOU LOOK AROUND YOU SEE YOUR FRIENDS SMILING AND HAVING THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES. THE ATMOSPHERE IS UNBEARABLE. NOW TELL ME YOU DIDN'T GET EMOTIONAL BECAUSE OF THE GOOD TIMES OF RAVING THAT WE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE AGAIN. ITS OK THOUGH BECAUSE, THE MEMORIES YOU HAVE WILL NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY. BECAUSE YOU WAS THERE!!
Born in 95 I believe this tune is better than 95% of what is being released now, it just captures something really epic it puts a smile on my face and carries me forward, without fear but with happiness.
What's going on with the dislikes? You'd have to be completely ignorant and tone deaf to not know this is one of THE best garage/ house tracks EVER made. Pure class!
Music is subjective and people are allowed their opinion, but “in my opinion” they may be that jealous bunch of rockers , not all rockers but the majority detest electronic music as if it was the Anti-Christ itself, the Luddites even tried to destroy the blossoming disco scene in the late 70s and pushed it back underground on 12th of July 1979, it was called “disco demolition night” and had ugly undertones of homophobia and racism, the rockers just couldn’t handle their genre of music being knocked off its perch in mainstream America, they even use arguments today like”that House&Techno music is so simple and shit, you don’t even create it the machines and computers do it for you........” which is so naive and backwards, that to me is just like saying “ the pen wrote the book!!!”, for me it’s pretty simple there is good music and there is bad music, now this musical revolution of House&Techno in the mid 80s for me is the greatest youth cultural revolution of all time , even bigger or certainly more influential than the hippy youth movement of the 60s , it was massive and championed love, freedom and anti-homophobic, anti-racism sentiments, a time of amazing art and musical ingenuity and creativity, of course the establishment hated it , it was a threat to their power and order, ultimately in the UK, which was the First Nation to embrace this new fresh black underground electronic music coming out of Chicago, Detroit and New York it was quashed by Margaret Thatcher and her establishment, they introduced the “criminal justice act” which forbid groups of up to 7 people meeting in a field and listening to music with repetitive beats, thus thwarting our freedom to hold illegal parties and just dance to amazing music, they were that scared of the scene, so everyone fucked off to Berlin and the rest is history, they failed in their miserable attempt to destroy the music as it has never been in a better state in my opinion and still going strong 35 years later! The music will never die and the beauty of it is as we witness a renaissance or second-wave generation of this amazing music is that it will continue to bring the world together and spread the political message that was behind House&Techno in the first place. All the “ravers” and pioneers of this scene in 80s and 90s children are now at an age where they go out clubbing and choose for themselves what music listen to and what nightclubs they frequent and I think the majority have chosen wisely they will carry on the progression and the creativity of this music having being well educated by the forerunners and pioneers of this amazing youth counter-culture movement. Peace.
I remember this tune only because my mum used to play it when I was probably a toddler, I remember it being played in car stereos on night travels, big nostalgia tune for me.
Total banging choooooon brings back so many good times & memories of Real raves nothing like what they now call festivals - them times will never be seen again ever !!!! 56 and still loving the choons once a rave always a raver gets into the blood !!!!
I bought this record when it came out and straight away I said "when I hear this tune for the first time at a rave or in a club I bet I rush so much I throw up!" And I did. And every time thereafter. Beautiful tune, happy memories.
Leah Dixon I know exactly how you feel. Had some of the best times of my life in warehouse raves and underground clubs. I still get rushes from the tunes back then. THANK HEAVENS for youtube which keeps our memories alive.
I suffer from ptsd and a brain injury from 20 years ago, when I hear this old-school music, 'its the only thing that brings back serious fading memories, my memories are like old VHS videos, hissy and fuzzy, but still a memorie ❤
Get that sinking feeling now how time has passed by, thinking about the bygone days when everyone felt truly free. Feel sorry for the youths of today who won't ever experience what euphoria truly felt like! Feels like a dream now, but get flash backs when listening to the tunes. Long to go back to the rave yrs 💭💊😎
Jungalistboi96 it's out there somewhere man. I met some kids heading to the woods near Brighton, where a soundsytem awaited them. Also Europe and India, the spirit lives on in a different form, but a good one still....
Late 80's to mid nineties. What a fuckin great time we all had. 47 now and lifes different but being able to hear all these tunes on utube is indeed a blessing. Lettin loose on a dancefloor with likeminded people is somethin i will never forget. What days... what nights.
+Rob Taylor Well said Rob. Gat Decor Passion has it all as a dancers tune. Great to listen to on the headphones, but when you're on the floor it's a proper builder. My favourite part is that high stabbing piano.....ooooh!!! mix that with Blast... Crazy Man , and I'm off on one : )
+Emma Green Now you're talking Emma!! The" builds like a skyscraper mix" is my favourite. I think it's on the very first ministry of sound "the annual " that I heard it first, many moons ago. reminds me of Samba music but on steroids , then the huge string break. massive tune for me!!!
This era is making a comeback and has been for quite a while. Sadly nobody can be bothered to look for this type of music to help give it the push it needs.
One of the best tunes ever for all the people that raved in the 80’s early 90-92. Tenerife 90 we had a bomb. RIP Paul “ Spadge” Higgins. Always be missed. Doncaster massive.
Everytime I hear this or one of the tunes like this that remind me back of those beautiful days makes me realise how special and how privileged I was to live through, dance through, sing through and love through them. Oh to have an opportunity to relive just one of those nights
This. Defining song of the best era of my life. I loved the early 90s... Have loved listening to so happy memories. So much cameraderie, closeness and community around on the rave scene... Everyone was equal on the dancefloor. PLUR. xx
Tenerife Paradise lost rocking to this with water in back pocket, got some funny looks walking a long beach at 10am n black Cubans heels, black leather jeans and leather waste cost, German strollers were how you say surprised....!! Cushty eye......long liv BobbYa and Busbyz, bar. Long gone now but rythem ges on my brothers....
Tunes like this really makes me wish i was born in a different time. Born in 97 and the music nowadays doesn’t come close. Thank god for youtube, it makes all these classics available for people who love real music.
These are still old time classics that will never fade from all our memories from the past. When music was at its peak till better times came around from there on .
Top CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOON reminds me of working and living in London and early rave days, meeting up at Kings X..brings back great memories. Disco Biscuits at the ready
I was DJing for “sounds good to me” in Islington late 90s /2000s - the manager Chris had two copies (on vinyl obvs😀), he knew I loved this tune but didn’t have it to play out - he gave me a copy, happy days ! This tune sits up there with the best ..fantastic memories - Bagleys, the Manor. Gas Club legendary venues…Kavos ‘96 Arena Bar (me !) - what an era, nothing like it before , or after. The Music lives on.. now my 25 yr old daughter and her pals count these songs as some of their best as well - Great taste girls !! Brings a tear to my eye !
I'm now 25 was born in 1992 so I missed the rave scene of the 90s bit I've loved this music ever since Ii was in my early teens this kind of music is beautiful, simple and full of emotion,
I was born in 1982 and while I was here when these tunes were made I wasn't old enough to be in clubs raving to them....but loved this music regardless
It just "is"!!!!!! If your an original late 80's acid house decipel then tunes like this are in your DNA,I'm mid 40's & each time I here this beautiful tune I'm 18 again at the early Amnesia House raves & early Eclipse nights in Coventry............rave on brothers n sisters, rave the fuck on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes fellow coventrarian it all started for me on fri nights in reflections then 13th floor thomas king house rizzla posse then house 1 in fenny drayton great dayz
Why does such a wicked riddim make me kinda sad? Probably because it will never be like it was. This tune is a personal anthem. I was a raver in the early 90's (I still am, lol), this always got played in the house / chill out room. Loved it since then. Fuck, I loved the 90s!
I still have the TDK c-90. Just an epic dance tune from the good old days. Me and the boys drove the M6 back from Warrington to Crewe in a beaten up Mini 1000 and would rewind this track to death. Some mates are gone now but the tune lives on.
blody hell flexie boy ! i was smashing the floor and sometimes warmed up for the big boys ! denzil on the door& owen wohooo!! off to limelight's or boulvard after ! what days we had us bromley boys .. i still have all the vinyl ! crazy eh!! now 56 n still reminiscing lol.. our paths have defo crossed ... DJ JT was who i went by .. sunrise crew rocked that gaff #tommy mac ect... made me go cold reading your comment 😎🙌🏼😜
i regret being born in 1992. i missed out on such a great music Era, From Acid House to Hardcore to jungle to garage at least i can rave to them in clubs now
Boy this takes me back, was so lucky to be there from the start what a magical time to be raving. I wouldn't change a thing from back in the day sweeeeeeet.
62 year's old still best music of all time love the old skool vibes listen daily house and trance still out clubbing when there's something worth listening to Delboy
Totally agree with all the comments..used to love dancing to this at the eclipse and shellys..amnesia house never forgotten..rave on brothers and sisters...

Leah Dixon I know exactly how you feel. Had some of the best times of my life in warehouse raves and underground clubs. I still get rushes from the tunes back then. THANK HEAVENS for youtube which keeps our memories alive.
I do every time I hear tuneees
Wtf this is actually bringing tears at 43 years old, nostalgia is such a powerful emotion. January 2022!
Just had to listen to this one once more today! What an amzing tune..
What a tune. Gives me goosebumps even today, many happy memories raving away to this, totally munted.

Life was the best in 90's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else still listening in 2019?

Yes lad
The comment bit of all these old school hardcore rave tracks is the sweetest bit of the internet. love you lot x
you got that right!
peace bro x
Best comment I've read.😀😀😀
I suffer from ptsd and a brain injury from 20 years ago, when I hear this old-school music, 'its the only thing that brings back serious fading memories, my memories are like old VHS videos, hissy and fuzzy, but still a memorie ❤
Regularly the last tune played at Bagley's, Saturday nights 94-97
Grew up in there lol
WTF its 2019.....i started going raving in 1989
where did the last 30 years go..??
Scary shit aye
I'm 49 this year and still listening to these banging choons. 😁
My first ‘cassette’ was Rave Alert!!!! Lol..... Dominator x
me too..everyone is wondering the same thing!
This will forever be Rick`s tune! RIP my friend I remember you dancing to this so many times in the 90s ♥ We were always last ones standing !
Im 17 how do you think i feel. Got all this stuff on vinyl. What an era it must of been. Well gutted i missed it. Even the attitude is shite nowadays
im 15 how do you think i feel , i didnt even get a dip in the era.
im nearly 32 and i missed it, i would have been around 5 or 6...gutted
Jungalistboi96 it's out there somewhere man. I met some kids heading to the woods near Brighton, where a soundsytem awaited them. Also Europe and India, the spirit lives on in a different form, but a good one still....
When was this?? im in brighton need to kno about this...
Jungalistboi96 feel your pain
52 and still love it
I was an old school raver who had this playing on my tape cassette in my car after a rave. Loved it
Late 80's to mid nineties. What a fuckin great time we all had. 47 now and lifes different but being able to hear all these tunes on utube is indeed a blessing. Lettin loose on a dancefloor with likeminded people is somethin i will never forget. What days... what nights.
Best times of ma life so glad i got to be a part of the rave scene Buzzing 👌
Still listeniing [n 2019....Rave on
Timeless indeed. This and Gat Decor Passion always take me to that higher place....
+fishface20077002 yes love that tune, aswell as "you've gotta hold that sucka down!"
Rob Taylor ciaoooo Rob
An voodoo ray, K,klass rhythm is a mystery, you can go on an on first heard it at LEDGONS old Burlington st CLIFFY xx
tune!!!!!!!!!😎 shout out to all the oldskool heads. we were there when it all kicked off and we had it LARGE. treasure the memories
Amen brother
Energy, Sunrise, land of OZ - Peace
Shout out to the raving crew
Canny rave like we used to now to many wee arsoles oot want to ruin your night for no reason
♥️🤟🏽
This era needs to make a comeback !!!!! I miss those old dayz
This era is making a comeback and has been for quite a while. Sadly nobody can be bothered to look for this type of music to help give it the push it needs.
@@OldSkoolHouseDanceClubClassicsIt will never get even remotely close to what it was
Remember the good times, don’t you want some more! Hell yeh I’m not past it yet 😂 48 still dancing to the music old school and new 🙌🏾 PLUR 🫶🏽
All my XR2 & RS TURBO RAVERS OUT THERE and
my Renault 5 GT TURBO HEADS
One of the best tunes ever for all the people that raved in the 80’s early 90-92. Tenerife 90 we had a bomb. RIP Paul “ Spadge” Higgins. Always be missed. Doncaster massive.
46 now. The year 2021. I was born in 75 & all the rest of it... I love this music
PLUR. xx
I was born in the wrong era, I hang around with a lot of older blokes that were in the raving scene and it makes me jealous, long live house music
One of the if not the best old skool bangers
Tunes like this really makes me wish i was born in a different time. Born in 97 and the music nowadays doesn’t come close. Thank god for youtube, it makes all these classics available for people who love real music.
One of THE ALL TIME HOUSE CLASSICS that even in 200 years from now kids will be entranced to this as we were. ENJOY
Greetings to all of you, old school house lovers! 45 years old, still remember dancing to this in Athens, Greece!
I was never conventional in my music tastes with my crowd.
I'll be 60 in Feb...!!!.. Another banging top tune from the Hacienda.
These are still old time classics that will never fade from all our memories from the past. When music was at its peak till better times came around from there on .
I love all music, but there's something wonderful about this tune, captivating. Sun, field, sound system... bliss ;-)
If you was there... well done.. together we shifted the mindset of a generation x
Top CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOON reminds me of working and living in London and early rave days, meeting up at Kings X..brings back great memories. Disco Biscuits at the ready

You would have loved it ! Sooo different now !
Ive been raving since summer 1989. Ilegal and legal parties :)

1991 and still an absolute classic now. Just close my eyes and still zone out to it. 😎😎✌️
Why does such a wicked riddim make me kinda sad? Probably because it will never be like it was. This tune is a personal anthem. I was a raver in the early 90's (I still am, lol), this always got played in the house / chill out room. Loved it since then. Fuck, I loved the 90s!
I'm 47 and still going strong! Music is Life :) :) :)
I still have the TDK c-90. Just an epic dance tune from the good old days. Me and the boys drove the M6 back from Warrington to Crewe in a beaten up Mini 1000 and would rewind this track to death. Some mates are gone now but the tune lives on.
This track and by Helicopter On Ya Way - Good times as Legends Old Burlington St - Graham Gold, Darren Pearce and Dave Lambert - remember the days 🙂
