A dark and melancholic piece. Sheet Music: drive.google.com/file/d/15vMW... More pieces will soon follow. #piano #solopiano #originalcomposition #sadpiano #nocturne #classicalmusic #classical
As others have said, this is a pretty piece. I'd like to highlight two things in particular that I really enjoyed: first, this piece has excellent flow. The moving line is engaging, without being overwhelming. The buildup to bar 17 is very nice. Second, your piece is so precisely balanced: even when there is harmonic tension, it's not overbearing. Instead, the effect is to feel calm, but unsettled until we get to a resolution. Great stuff!
I play the F with 1 and the Gb with 2, but I jump a bit to hit the Cb in time. My hand span is wide enough so I hve no problem playing 5-2-1-2. Do as it fits you best. I myself wanted to avoid playing a polyrhythm in the right, but maybe I am just lazy :3
The more I listen to this piece the more it bewitches me. And what I like the most is that the feeling it creates is so bright that you can describe it with many words, but there is always something more - beyond the words. Truly incredible, even in midi performance, though of course midi does not fully conveys all the subtleties, like little emotional turns in the main theme or slightly jazzy mood in the middle part. Makes me want to learn it :)
Absolutely love the harmonic language of this. You have a gift. Loved how you didn’t end the piece on the (main) Bb minor tonic. Really great writing. Wonderful melodic tensions and cool directions. Keep writing. God bless.

Wow - that turn in bar 17!!!
I'm learning this piece now.
Have fun! Let me give you the updated sheet music. I added some fingering ideas and made some changes to the hand coordination.

Great, thank you!
I wonder how you play the f-g in bar 29 with left hand. I prefer playing these with the RH.
