When I turned it on the first time it popped up with a warning telling me that I have a "suboptimal ram configuration" and that I should put them in 2 and 4. Pretty cool.
Double check the correct placement of the RAM sticks in your motherboard. I'm fairly sure they should be in alternating slots: either 1, 3 or 2, 4. It's faster that way... because of reasons I can't remember.
It's cheaper to overclock, but it depends on the application. If you are running apps that can take advantage of all the threads, then a more expensive CPU is better. But if you're running apps that are running on a single core, or at least less than 8, then you can get a lot out of the increased clock speed. I'd say even if you went with a more expensive processor, you might as well overclock that too. For most of my applications, I will get a very good boost from overclocking it. For long-term cost we also need to consider power consumption. The 9700x is very low power, so by using variable power settings we can have it running at it's stock voltage for most applications, and only run overclocked when the power demand increases. It will use about twice as much power when overclocked, so we only want to do that when we need it.
@@followxiaofei Interesting. I didn't think it would make a difference depending on the software. So I guess as long as your videos render faster then thats a huge quality of life improvement either way. :)
Yea, there can be many causes. But we suspect heat because two months ago that part of the ocean had a prolonged period of very abnormally high sea temperatures.
I'll add another one later. I prefer to use dual monitors because I run a lot of applications simultaneously. So I often will be reading or needing file explorer on one side, while I do my main work on the other.

我其實滿推薦組7900的，要是說9700X可以輕鬆支援DDR5 四通到的話我就給推9700X

RAM插槽最好還是看一下MB的使用手冊，因為有些會設計一、三，或二、四才會有雙通道的效果，不看說明書，亂插的話，很容易就插錯，效能就差了點...
其實差不多,我看過相關測試影片,頂多差個一兩個fps 而已.
雙通道都是13跟24，錯了的話就........
