You are certainly old in the RC hobby if you remember the days of JUMPER and the ribbon cable issues. JUMPER quality control has been identical to RADIOMASTER since that shit storm.
Nice review. First Jumper was T16 and nearly 2 years later was T18. Hope they will release once T15 or similar size with shoulder sliders. Looks like everyone releasing radios only for drones 😢
Geezz Captain!!!; I am very glad you are on Holidays !!!!; lost me within the first minutes of the controller details!!! however ; got me back with the inflight crash / smash !!!; hope you are having a great break !!!
Hi Steve , Captain Steve :)! another great video ! Thanks in helping the new pilots entering this awsome world as me . I just bought the T 15 Jumper, Can i ask for when will you produce the set up and bind video for FPV ? THanks in helping us :)! Great year ahead !
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks for your feedback ! I Understand, time is always short... When you can Steve:) Put the Jumper T15 in first of the list ;) ! Regards from Portugal, Porto City !
great review!! Also i have a video request on a budget drone, the KF104. i think it'd be a really cool reviewbecuase the drone has a payload system and a smart RC
I have Jumper T14 and it works the best comparing with Taranis X9D and Radiomaster Zorro as well. T15 seems better with color display since T14 mono oled display is difficult to read in sunlight.
I’m very new to fpv drones. And wondering if this would work on the tinyhawk II freestyle, as well as the tinyhawk III plus analog? Planning on getting a few more nano and tiny whoops as well as build my own 5” in the future. Just want something that grows with me.
There is no set distance because each small drone is different. In the RC hobby, flight Range is always best on 4 things: - battery used - video transmitter type and power - receiver type - antenna types
Yes, you can change the mode by swapping springs. I have never done it but I’m sure there videos showing changing Jumper and Radiomaster radios from mode 2 to mode 1
Has ordered my t15 when it starts selling. There was and still no option to get it with CNC halls, only regular plastic. So I have to order ono more radio t14 with CNC and replace it. Also stick protection its only available as extra for 20$. So what u see in these reviews its only for bloggers. Be ready for it. Great radio btw.
Would this transmitter work on BNF airplanes or is this strictly for drones? Also any transmitter recommendations for a first time buyer? (Majority for rc airplanes)
This or the crush? And so you have an rs setup video for this like you do for the pocket? I'm torn between this and the crush. But never messed with this brand, only radiomaster
If you are more familiar with Radiomaster then stick with Radiomaster. If you switch to Jumper, things are obviously different and if you are not savvy in the RC Hobby you could quickly get lost.
It is a programmable RC hobby radio which means like all radios in this class you can use them with anything in the RC Hobby that uses an ELRS Receiver.
@@sheiladavis2304 What a time to be in the hobby. There wasn't much choice when I first started, so I began with Spectrum DX6i for helis and planes. If I were starting the hobby today, I would get something like this, good for planes and quads.
Jumper high end Hall sensor Gimbals are equally as good as the Radiomaster AG01 Hall sensor gimbals. Only difference is that Radiomaster uses more CNC aluminum around the gimbal.
@@TheLibin7 Sorry, no video yet. The reason I say it is easy is because binding to an ELRS receiver is Easy. You just have to put the ELRS drone into bind mode…. You know how to do that right? Then in the radio you have to go to EXPRESS LRS and select bind. Yes, one day I hope to make a video on how to setup the radio, then bind to a drone, then setup the drone into BETAFLIGHT Configurator.
Totally new to the world of RC but at least in regards to drone flying I'm at a loss as to why anyone would need half of those buttons or a touch screen since FPV has the goggles. Seems like overkill. Look forward to the video explaining it's function 👍🏻
@@tuhkathri9126no need to apologize. I had the same thought when I first began to explore the RC hobby. Once you are deep into the hobby, the potential of all them switches, buttons and dials and touch screen will become apparent based on your imagination (there is no limit as to what you can do).

Hey, Cap. I wonder if you have seen any interesting under $200 drone in the latest year. Your under $X videos are not that old, but I wonder if companies have released new stuff. DJI did great discounts in the Prime Days, a week ago. I got the 4K for about ~220€ (already having a Mini 4 Pro). I assume it is still the best ~200€ drone in the market, but who knows. Enjoy your vacations, drone man.
Looks great. Shame they only offer it in ELRS. I'd rather 4-in-1 internal & external ELRS in the JR bay. Besides the color screen it has more 3 way switches than my boxer.
It is strange that companies like Jumper and Radiomaster are moving away from 4-in-1 and more towards ELRS. The new BOXER is also only available in ELRS.
Nice Review Steve..... BUT After the original Jumper T16 Quality Build Fiasco I decided to go with the Higher quality built RadioMaster TX16S.... Have never looked back. Since Jumper put a bad taste in my mouth i'd never buy a Jumper product.
The Jumper T16 had many ribbon cables which all the new Jumpers have the same build quality as Radiomaster. The jumper T18 was a way better transmitter and zero issues.
@@Mikeylikesit1968 I still have the original T16 from when it first came out. I haven't replaced anything running on the latest Edge Tx, even though I bought the hall sensor gimbals and received the ribbon cables for free in case I need to replace them, just sitting in a box for now.
@Lasersbee … Yes, long ago when the dinosaurs roamed the planet Jumper used ribbon cables. At that time a few employees left JUMPER to form RADIOMASTER. Since then JUMPER never again used ribbon cables and their quality is identical to RADIOMASTER. You can always tell the old folk… they remember the ribbon cable days. 😂
Too bad people don’t give second chances anymore or allow companies to have any chance of redemption. Even frsky is putting out some baller products but the fpv elders will never let some stuff go. I’m definitely picking up a jumper and an frsky soon.
This video was so much fun to watch! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The jumper T18 i had was the 5in1. Multi module with internal antenna and 900mhz with outer antenna. Was rock solid and never any issues.
Yes rock solid. It is my main radio.
Hey Steve just wanted to say that you are my favorite FPV creator and I can wait for the setup video for this radio!!!!
Awesome thank you!

Thank you for the quick answer and I am very pleased. Thank you for your great videos and the great entertainment. Greetings Matthias
I agree best looking radio
Nice radio and overview. I still use my original Jumper T16 when it first came out running the latest EdgeTx, which is still running strong.
I still have the old Jumper T-18 which is a 4-in-1 model and still gets used now and then.
I like the set up
Very Nice! I love it - thx.
Always great information they look cool
Those momentary crash 'n burn flights really made me laugh...thanks very much for the laugh!

How are the gimbals? Will Jumper ever have their own AG01 gimbals?
Jumper high end Hall sensor Gimbals are equally as good as the Radiomaster AG01 Hall sensor gimbals. Only difference is that Radiomaster uses more CNC aluminum around the gimbal.
Please make a video about how to bind this to DJI 04 FPV drones
Binding is the EASY part. If you have the ELRS VERSION as in my video then it means you must have bought an 04 Drone with an ELRS RECEIVER in it.
