Except for the placement of the forbidden forest. It’s literally on the wrong side of the quidditch pitch. In the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone it is described to be on the other side of the pitch with Hagrid’s hut on the outskirts. It hurts my nerdy OCD knowing it’s completely wrong in the game lol.
@@logandumontIt's not perfect by any means, although its close and Avalanche did an exceptional job. One thing that comes to mind is the chamber of secrets bathroom should be on the second floor and not on the Slytherin dungeons as seen in the game
Sneaking into the Library with invisible charm is definitely I nod the Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone PC game when avoiding Filtch with the cloak of invisibility back in 2001 😢my childhood
Wow. Thanks for that side by side comparison, Retro. Avalanche really did such an incredibly job with Hogwarts Legacy that it would a shame to waste it on only one game. I hope there’s a sequel.
Truly magical! I’ve been revisiting Hogwarts Legacy lately, trying to finish up all the remaining side quests that I may have missed. I hope in the sequel game, we can still play with the characters we created in the first one, but have them all grown up as adults in the second installment.
Today marks the 263th Day revisiting and photographing Hogwarts every single day 😊❤ I'm so glad to be able to experience all of this. All the new little details I keep finding... Thank you for the video ❤❤❤
And at the same time, so many of the shots in the game line up nearly shot for shot with scenes from the movie! I was surprised in particular by the Herbology one.
@@MyBitch925 It's not entirely like in the books. For example Hagrid's hut should be at the edge of the forbidden forest but it's not. Also Hogwarts is described to be located in a remote place yet the map is full of random villages. It's a good game tho don't get me wrong..
Me too. I didn't like the DADA tower and the Central Hall. Too much marble everywhere, it's really not Hogwarts. Hogwarts is supposed to be a gothic castle.
It hurts my nerdy OCD that their placement of the Forbidden Forest is literally on the wrong side of the Quidditch Pitch lol. I’m surprised nobody really talks about this. The first book describes it to be on the other side of the pitch with the gamekeeper’s hut being right on the outskirts of the forest.
This is actually pretty easy to explain. Hogwarts Legacy takes place 100 years before the Harry Potter series, and the location of the Forbidden Forest could easily have shifted during that time.
Hogwarts legacy is the book adaptation of Hogwarts. It’s perfect.

Sad to see this video didn't go viral. Fantastic idea and execution Retro!

Yes. Thank you for bringing this to lumos

Great video, as usual! Been seeing so much hogwarts stuff on my feed, making me want to play through the game again!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!

263?! That's impressive.
@@RetroRaconteur and I must be the only person to use twitter for that long without landing in any toxic zones xD
Thanks for making this video Retro. This never gets old. So much love and attention to detail was put into both the movies and the game.
It was definitely a fun look back! I'm surprised at how many of the scenes match up so well with the films.
A perfect blend of the movies, books, and Avalanche’s own musings. 💯 🍷
Totally!
Great video, Retro! God, the visuals of this game are really something else, the devs deserve so much credit for this.
Definitely!
The details are impeccable. Thank you for making this video, Retro. Both feels like home 🤍
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the video.
This video reminds me just how much the game's creators went with book lore as their original source, and not with movie lore.
And at the same time, so many of the shots in the game line up nearly shot for shot with scenes from the movie! I was surprised in particular by the Herbology one.
Good video Retro
Glad you enjoyed it
Third(I got to start waking up earlier)
Haha. No worries, Rossy. 🥉🥉🥉
My favorite location is the little garden? where Hermione slapped Malfoy
Hogwarts Legacy makes me think that a few of the professors of Harry’s time are ineffective and not qualified for their jobs.
🥇🥇🥇
Hopefully the 2nd game doesn't take so long
🤞🤞🤞
beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Need avalanche to make a new lord of the rings game tbh
I wish Hogwarts Castle in Hogwarts Legacy was more like in the movies.
Its described how it is in the books but also has some parts of the movies
