Dear Sicily Lover,
this is the 12th episode dedicated to the first private tour of Sicily after the restrictions due to the pandemic.
We put together this tour of Sicily for 5 beautiful people who come from California.
They spent their 12th day in Savoca, the main filming location of The Godfather part 1!
Savoca is a medieval town at the top of a mountain which overlooks the sea. Here, our clients had the chance to stop for a break at bar Vitelli. This old bar is the location where Michael Corleone asked Appolonia’s father for permission to court her. This could be also your chance to enjoy a freshly pressed Sicilian orange juice, or a lemon granita, exactly where the Godfather himself sat.
Of course this 5 Californian people belong to the beautiful community of the Sicily Lovers' family!

We had a great time in Sicily . Being half Sicilian, my sister loved being there in 2008 with my wife who has no Italian blood but my daughter some Sicilian because of me. We stayed in Taormina and traveled to Forca de Agro, and many places along the east coast. My grandparents were born in Sicily in the 1890’s and came to America. Mt Etna was active but we went to the top snack bars. We would love to come back.

Hi, we are from Malta. Sis ily is our favourite destination, due to being so close, and the fact that I can go with my car. So many beautiful places to visit. Food is good and prices can be quite affordable. Visiting again this weekend 23-26 September 2022. Will stay in Taormina/Naxos area, hope to get to visit Savoca, only a 30 minute drive from hotel.
