Really like the no nonsense practical elements of this. So many 'thin hair' tutorials are done with thick hair but your sharing honest and practical tips. Awesome. X

I loved this video. I am missing the centre portion of my hair-shaft (medulla) and have very, very fine hair (not a lot either) and I found these styles appealing and do-able. I also absolutely love the presentation; calm, soothing, engaging with no unnecessary theatrics.
You have a lovely voice, great diction and are very clear with instructions for every style. I also appreciated how gentle you were with her hair, very considerate. I've endured a lifetime of loud, overbearing stylists who, having no consideration or empathy for the dilemma of fine, thin hair, have yanked, backcombed to excess and lacquered my my fragile locks to unreasonable levels to make up for their lack of skill. Congratulations on a great video, created by a gifted professional. Please post more.

LOVED this. I have super thin hair and I don’t have a lot either and I feel like I can never do something nice with my hair. Finally a tutorial for people with hair like mine! We exist and deserve to feel pretty too. Thank you Karen

OMGosh! Not only do I have fine, thin hair, it is turning silver as well! I stopped coloring it because it is just too much and does so much damage to my hair. I am so glad to have found this video as I am the one who always has the top knot with the claw clip. Never anything different, because what in the heck do you do with this mess??? YOU have a new subscriber! Thank you for showing me this! VERY grateful!

I don't know why so many women have damaged hair from coloring. If you are stripping it and then dying it, yes. I have about 50% white hair with my original light brown. I get my hair low lighted and it looks totally natural and blends in the white so I don't look dead. My hair is always in excellent condition.

It just needs a bit of practice. I tried it several times myself before I invested in a pillow with comb and a doughnut ( I already had the hair bobbles and pins.) These styles work best if your isn't just washed, but if it is give it a spray of volumiser or hairspray at the roots and it will also help give it body.

It's easily done by another person standing behind. I don't think I'd manage doing this on backside of my head. I have done simple quick do twister in one minute. Gather all wanted hair low in the neck, twist all from neck on and use clip or pin to fasten it a bit further up. This leaves surplus hair above the pin hanging freely like feathers in the wind. That's something I can do with my thin hair. And off course an odd pony tail too
    Thanks from 🇸🇪.

You can make your own pillow. Save the hair from your hairbrush until you have a good handful. Get your hands slightly wet, and vigorously rub the wad of hair in a circular motion until you have a rounded mound. The hair will felt together. You can make a long sausage shape for a french twist, or cut a hole in a mound shape for a donut.
You'll have a base to build on that perfectly matches your own hair, washable (takes a couple days to air dry, or toss in dryer on low for 30 min), and you can make any size or shape, for free.
I saw this idea 50 years ago in an old Victorian magazine. These hair poufs were called "rats". I've used them for years with my fine thinnish hair. I also don't want to spend more than 10-20 minutes doing my hair, and I want it to look great all day. Btw, 20-30 is all the time I spend on a black tie hair do. And it always looks better than a $50-$100 salon up do!😍

I am pleased to find this video! I shared, liked, and subscribed. I've always been afraid of these products and thought they were super complicated, but you've taken the fear away by showing alternative methods of use for my fine hair! They actually look pretty easy once I've practiced a little. That's thrilling since I have plenty of naturally long dark blonde hair all one length 3/4 down my back, but it's fairly fine with a little waviness that seriously needs some style. I have no clue except for ponytails, buns, and a couple braids (basic and fishtail).
I do have a couple questions to complete my knowledge if you don't mind answering:
You make it seem so simple to create a little lift in the front by pulling pieces and a little backcombing, and I don't manage to get more than odd bubbles. How do you make this happen?
What do you do about leaving pieces out without looking like you meant to forget them? I know that's more relaxed and less stern, but I don't know how to pull it off with my OCD. If there's a typical rule of thumb I can run with, then that would make things so much easier for me! I've tried getting my hair tapered, but it's •never• been in just the right spot.
Thank you! Whether you address my situation or not, this video simplified a mystery to me and gave me options!
Also, I'm proud of you too! Thank you for your great tutorial! 👏🎊🎉⭐🎆😃🧡🌈🦄🐏🥳🥂🍻💈👱‍♀️💇‍♀️✂️🍾

I would like to see the model do her own hair and see if it comes out the same

Yeah...that's the catch. I am massively clumsy with hair, it's like I'm trying to do it with my feet. I can never reproduce what a stylist can do.

I did it and it wasn't hard. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Obviously we're not all going to manage it but a friend could do it for you. Practice makes perfect 👍

I am not good in reproducing tutorial hairstyles, but I really will try this one. I like the way you explain this and I also like your calm voice. You are the Bob Ross in Hair Styles. :)

I don't understand why so many tutorials have dislikes. This is a really nice vid. It's almost like someone just goes on TH-cam and dilikes everything for fun maybe? So sad. Great tutorial. Don't mind "the haters."
