    The pin gets poked in fingers while removing and I was searching for tips, eventually landed with your video. You trick to remove needle is much Appreciated. Thanks buddy :-)

    NEVER pierce the tip, center of your finger!
    That hasn't been taught for nearly 20 year. The majority of nerve endings are inside center of finger pad. ALWAYS Lance the SIDE of the fingers, or thumb. Doing it that way, will remove approximately 40% - 60% of the pain you used to feel.
    (use new needles for even less pain.)
    Y'all have a beautiful weekend. ✅

    The Accu-Chek Soft Clix is a dangerous bio-weapon. The lancet ejection/disposal procedure is liken to ejecting a contaminated dart at anyone around you ! You should use the twisted off lancet top cap to cover the tip of the lancet before ejecting. Accu-Chek shows that you need to eject the lancet into a "Sharps Container" like no one has that at home !

    • @bicyclecolours8988
      @bicyclecolours8988  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi E Tow, Thanks for writing! Agreed with your comments on twist cap and use of Sharps bin.
      The actual intent of making this video was to address a practical scenario. Most often users tend to forget removing lancet after test and few wish to reuse couple of times more. In these cases the twist cap is lost. Having said this in many occasions user either poke fingers or break the device itself while removing device top cover. Keeping this in mind the video shows a safe practice to hold top cover with both thumbs while uninstalling. Also the video shows to pull down ejector thus keeping lancet facing downwards so it doesn’t take a flight.
      Tried to address pain points from personal experience which felt could help other users.

      If the cap mechanism is broken then it will be difficult to fix. You need to get a new lancing device.

    • @bicyclecolours8988
      @bicyclecolours8988  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ravi, with every use the needle lose sharpness so if you are sensitive to pain then can hurt. If there is no skin or blood infection then can decide to use needle couple of times more provided the needle is used in a very sterile conditions. Please note as per user instructions it is recommended to use needle once.

      Hi Premlata, The Accu Chek pin cannot be used in Dr Trust lancing device.
      But you can buy 'Accu Chek Softclix' lancing device separate for lancing purpose and use Dr Trust Glucometer for sugar measurement.

      Hi Shankar, I hope your father doesn’t have any skin or blood infection, until then it’s safe. Always use a new, sterile needle and never share. Keep in mind that cleaning by any means does not make re-using the needle risk-free.

    Sorry to say that... You haven't explained, what are 1,2,3,4 numbers on the softclix...! Which number indicates higher depth & which number indicates lower depth...? Please try to explain...!

    • @bicyclecolours8988
      @bicyclecolours8988  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Raghuram, Sry to miss this section.
      The Softclix device offers 11 penetration depth options. The penetration depth is 0.8 mm at the first setting and increases by 0.15 mm with each setting. The settings are shown on the cap by the numbers 1 to 5 with additional levels marked with dots to enable you to precisely adjust to your individual skin type.
      Select the first setting, 0.5, for the smallest depth of penetration, and the last setting, 5.5, for the greatest depth of penetration. Select 0.5 to 1.5 for softer-than-average skin, 2 to 3.5 for average skin, and 4 to 5.5 for harder-than-average or calloused skin.
      Setting 0.5 - 0.80 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 1 - 0.95 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 1.5 - 1.10 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 2 - 1.25 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 2.5 - 1.40 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 3 - 1.55 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 3.5 - 1.70 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 4 - 1.85 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 4.5 - 2.0 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 5 - 2.15 Penetration Depth (mm)
      Setting 5.5 - 2.30 Penetration Depth (mm)
