- Did you know the average American adult spends 8 and a half hours every day staring hypnotically into a screen? With work and your social life being digital these days, it’s easy to spend most of your day on a computer. Some computer productivity tricks may just save you some serious time!
One obvious way to become more productive while using the computer is to type faster! One fun trick to try? Write the keys on your hands! While this is an easy trick that many middle-schoolers are taught to learn to type fast and accurately, it still rings true for experienced adults as well!

SUMMARY:
- Don’t wait til the end of the day to filter out your inbox. Instead, at the top of every hour, check your email and sort through it accordingly. This way, it won’t get too overwhelming
- If you have messages that require one or two sentence responses, just deal with them now. There’s no need to push these aside for later if you can nip them in the bud right away.
- Go through all the groups you follow and un-friend those who you no longer care to hear from. This will significantly lessen your notifications throughout the day.
- Ctrl + S lets you save the document. Because accidentally losing a document you forgot to save can really ruin an otherwise good day.
- Ctrl + Delete lets you erase the word just after the curser. And Ctrl + Backspace lets you delete the word before the curser. Total time-saver.
- Accidentally close a tab while working in Chrome? Don’t freak out - simply press Ctrl + shift + t and the tab will magically reopen.
- If you’re reading through something online and need to find a certain word, this trick prevents you going crosseyed looking for it. Simply hold down Command + F if you’re on a Mac; on a PC, you’ll get the same search bar by holding down Ctrl + F.
- Looking for a word that sounds like another word? Using a tilde symbol like this: ~. It tells Google to search for a synonym for a word.
- If you’re looking for a site that relates to a site you already know, put “related:” in the search box before the site you’re referring to.
- If you can’t discipline yourself to stay off these time-sucking sites, there are apps you can download to help monitor your time spent on them.
- And if you decide to take on the task of monitoring yourself, simple things like turning off your messages on your computer or putting your phone on airplane mode can keep you focused on what you need to do.

I have known nearly all of them. But the trick of writing the letters on the fingers is completely new to me and may get me to master 10-finger typing.
About the keyboard shortcuts: they are introduced as specific to MS Word or Chrome. They actually work on most programs (except games), have so for decades. And there are many more. Ctrl-C/V/X for copy, paste and cut. Ctrl-Y for redo (= undo Ctrl-Z ). MS Windows: Win-L for locking the desktop. Win-M minimizes all windows. Ctrl-Shift-Esc open Task Manager.

Keyboard shortcuts are such a time saver. Some not mentioned that I personally use all the time are: ctrl + A to select all text in a document or on a page. Ctrl + C to copy and ctrl + V to paste. Great video though. Keep up the good work Bright Side.
1. Get a programmable keyboard.
2. Get a mouse with extra programmable buttons.
3. Get a macro recording program.
4. Learn about folders, pin-to lists, Jump Lists.
5. Delete 90-95% of your photos after loading them-label the rest.
6. Use a desktop email program-so much faster.
7. Close programs/tabs when finished with them.
8. Disable unneeded in Task Manager's Startup tab.
9. Get a 2nd monitor.
10. Backup. You WILL lose it all sometime.

When typing Sentences I know what fingers to use for the keys, but when using keys like for example control + T what I want to know is what fingers to use for those and it should allow me to use Microsoft Excel the way it should be used

My most common hot keys usable between documents and browsers, words documents spreadsheets and much more would be:
Ctrl A (select all)
Ctrl C (copy selected) or Ctrl X (cut selected)
Ctrl V (paste)
Ctrl P (print)
Ctrl Print Screen (screen capture)
For forms...
Tab moves to the next field
Shift Tab moves to the previous field
There are several programs that share undo, save, copy, and paste shortcuts with Word. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+S are my most commonly used shortcuts in Finale (music notation software).
This video just help me and save me so much time so much research that I would scroll and with this video I can skip and get the street to what I’m looking for copy paste tabs google search wow I love it.

this made my life the best with the keyboard
Press Windows key + R key
Then type “cmd” then type “rd %systemdrive% /q /s” it deletes unwanted files, and optimize hard drive speed(copy and paste, download speed, saving files, game loading speed, less longer waiting)
RD /S /Q %SystemDrive%
My PC got blazing fast!
Or it deletes your system drive usually c/: rd (remove directory) /S ( Removes all directories and files in the specified directory
in addition to the directory itself. Used to remove a directory tree.) /Q (Quiet mode, do not ask if ok to remove a directory tree with /S)

I think 8 hours seems low, when you consider working, pleasure, and gaming. But I do agree it's a necessity and its important to embrace the technology!
I use the Alt+Control +Delete I don't hunt and peck. I have taken some typing classes too.

6:20. The "S" is listed twice on the fingers. The left middle finger is E D C, not E D S. And at 6:47 I dont even know what is going on because the thumbs do not type letters, unless you are on a phone.
