Ok, I’m gonna let anyone who finds this in on a little secret. It has taken over 2 years of constant and dipping my feet in for about 4 but you will not regret it. Every night when falling asleep listen to a podcast. Listen to the same people in the begging it may take upwards of an hour, but it will work. Keep going every night. You can explore a bit more when your more comfy with it. Add in a sleep mask if you want. I did this and can fall asleep in 5-10 minutes every night simply by putting a podcast on.

Army veteran here. The other tip is to physically tire yourself during the day. I had acute insomnia before basic training and since then I have only had problems sleeping on days that I am lazy. Humans are designed to be physically fit and mobile most of the day.

Don’t know why the video is so long, here: 1) lie flat, face-up on your bed 2) relax your face (eyes, mouth, etc.) 3) push your shoulders far down 4) full breath out, slow breath in 5) relax your hips, then legs, then feet 6) remove any distractions like noise/light 7) move your thoughts slowly through relaxing images, then try to clear your mind
Another key to this he left out is working 14 hours straight in the military and being physically and mentally exhausted, helps you fall asleep quickly. Not gonna have the same affect on someone who spent the last 10 hours staring at a screen and drinking Red Bull

Army veteran here. The other tip is to physically tire yourself during the day. I had acute insomnia before basic training and since then I have only had problems sleeping on days that I am lazy. Humans are designed to be physically fit and mobile most of the day.

Sure, but being physically tired ain't enough when your mind won't stop racing. Unfortunately psychological stress doesn't care how tired you are.
@@chevy-is-a-good-boy I beg to differ. Ex Royal Marine here. If you fully exhaust yourself. Your brain will have no problem switching off. I mean truly exhaust all of your energy and stay awake for 24hrs plus with lack of food, then anybody will drop off.
i work a manual labor job and try to stay busy all day but it still doesmt help
i have a really bad sleeping disorder that makes it hard for me to sleep and makes me stay awake really late at night (2-4 AM) and i needed some methods without using props. thank u for this.

Don’t know why the video is so long, here:
1) lie flat, face-up on your bed
2) relax your face (eyes, mouth, etc.)
3) push your shoulders far down
4) full breath out, slow breath in
5) relax your hips, then legs, then feet
6) remove any distractions like noise/light
7) move your thoughts slowly through relaxing images, then try to clear your mind

Another key to this he left out is working 14 hours straight in the military and being physically and mentally exhausted, helps you fall asleep quickly. Not gonna have the same affect on someone who spent the last 10 hours staring at a screen and drinking Red Bull
