haha I'm 36 years old and this was by far the best video I've watched on the subject, thank you so much, I had no idea about the split screen either lol!
Hi Rich, Very good example of connecting Apple Notes to Reminders. The carrying over method saves a lot of time not having to retype the same message in Reminders app. Thanks for your great videos. Good luck with the cabinet painting project! Kindness, Teresa
This is so helpful. I was thinking of the traditional link that I use in Goodnotes, but this is so wonderful. I can put lots of details into notes without cluttering up my Reminders list thank you thank you
I love your videos - thank you!!! Now I know how to integrate these otherwise independent ecosystems together, but I still don't know why I need to? Why do I need those tasks in multiple places and can't you put notes on the reminders, create tiered reminders, etc.?
Oh wow! I need the basics! Which video should I start first. I need help with the notes and the reminders. You are great but I hate being called a senior.
Awesome video I don’t ever comment but well done. I had no idea you could do a split screen by a simple drag like that from the dock absolutely outstanding Rich love you, Video.
There are a ton of writing apps in the App Store. I use Ulysses. It's pretty handy. You don't need a mic with your iPad. It has a built-in mic! And you can just use dictation. You can also do this in Apple Notes. I know a lot of people who do that. Good luck!
I am a core millennial scratching my head like, "why didn't i know this?!" Great video. I have been looking for this sort of insight everywhere, but apple's native apps don't get as much attention as they should.
Unfortunately this doesn't work on the Mac, which is where I do all of my work. Really hoping that Apple fixes this because it would be huge to have this work the same way on Mac OS.
On macOS try by clicking on the share button, select send as copy, and share it to the reminders app, this will pop up a modal with the reminder will be created, once you setup the details you want just click on “add” and this will save it on reminders with the link to the note created. Just an alternative while apple make work the drag n drop on macOS :)
Not sure...I use ToDo from time to time because I like how it looks. But I keep coming back to Reminders because of the integration with other apps. I'll have to give that a try. I sort of doubt it though since Apple Notes are tied to your Apple ID and Microsoft ToDo is tied to your Microsoft ID.
Wow kinda a lot of unnecessary steps there! Why not just initially drag them to the days right from the start? Maybe I’m missing something idk Still it was a very good video just to many steps for me personally but I do see how you set up the hierarchy
Understood. This is one of those videos that help a smaller group of my viewers. As I mentioned in the video, even I do don't this for everything. I think it's helpful to know it can be done. Then each person can decide if it's worth the effort. Good comment. Thanks so much for watching!
@@RichBowlinunderstood enjoyed the video and still learned stuff The pining of the days is a great idea i just wish apple didn’t limit how much you can pin Thanks again for the response back it’s much appreciated
Thanks Rich for a very useful video for IPad but for IPhone we cannot split into 2 screens in order to move a note into a reminder. Is it possible to link a note to a reminder in IPhone?
You can select text in the Apple Note that you want to also add to a Reminder, then scroll to, and select "Share..." in the little popup menu. Select the Reminders app as the destination. The Reminder creation window will appear. When you are satisfied with the text that has been entered, tap "Add" in the upper right corner. Once you complete the share process, you can go to Reminders and see a new entry has been created in the Reminder app with a link back to the original Note that you shared the text from.
@@brokenjac Thanks for your reply and I've accidentally discovered about this way by Share after playing with IPhone Notes and Reminders 3 weeks ago. Thanks again.

I like your Monday through Sunday lists. How did you create them? I seem to be able to create new lists only under “My lists”
Very insightful tips! Thanks.

Very nice video, I like how you explain things slowly and not boring. Good job 👍🏼

Great video. How would you do this on iPhone?
Great videos. You have a great way of teaching. Thank you!
The Monday to Sunday way of organising is interesting. I’m going to try it out.

can I use this method in MacBook ? or just only iPad can do ?

Fantastic video. Great tips, clearly and concisely presented. Easy decision to subscribe.
This is awsome way to work with details on the tasks, but on PC it iwll take more, cannot drag and drop like iPad
this is a fantastic way to teach. thank you for sharing...worthy of a subscribe
I can do this on iPad. but it doesn't sync to my MacBook. The little apple note icon is blank on MacBook reminders
How can I use my iPad to write a biography, what program do I use? Is there a program that can write on screen when I speak the words into a mike???

Could we substitute Microsoft ToDo for Apple Reminders in this application?

Why don't you just use the today smart list in Reminders?
I do! In fact I'm going to make another video on reminders and the smart lists. You're way ahead of me! Thanks so much for watching!
