Hey everyone just a quick correction, Jules Passed away on the 17th of July 2015, not the 25th. Accidental writing mistake on my part. Sorry about that. #JB17
There is actually kind of a twist if Jules had survived. At the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix Charles Leclerc had been saved by the halo, which was brought in after Jules' death. So if Jules survived Charles would have sustained injuries and potentially crushing Charles. As Jules survived the halo wouldn't have been brought in by 2018. So If Jules survived Charles would most likely die in this scenario and in the real world Jules died and Charles survived.
Seeing Charles win in 2019 wearing Red was so beautiful yet saddening, knowing that Jules too would've done it one day. It would've been a privilege to see him fight up front, he was taken away too soon. RIP Jules

I’d like to think Jules is still attending to his godfather duties even though he is not with us anymore. The introduction of the halo has saved countless lives, including that of Charles, but it is still a shame that the death of a wonderful driver with such potential was the catalyst to this safety-conscious change.
@@WETiLAMBY Maybe. Jules probably would have gone to Ferrari at the same time Charles ended up going. Maybe a couple years earlier. I think Charles would have likely still ended up at Alfa. I think two things would have occurred had Jules survived. Kimi's career would have been shorter and Carlos would still be at McLaren. That probably would have had a follow on effect of Daniel still being at Alpine, which means either Fernando would have never made a comeback or Esteban would have been left without a seat. Whether or not Jules beat Seb like Charles did probably would have decided if Seb was still at Ferrari. Seb has become somewhat inconsistent, so I think he would have beat him and Charles would have ended up at Ferrari anyway.
Strange to think that the seat meant for Leclerc's godfather became his. I hope Leclerc doesn't have to lose anyone close to him again until they are old and have lived a full life.
A respectful and moving tribute. I just learnt recently that Jules' great uncle, Lucien Bianchi also died in a motor racing accident, testing for Alfa Romeo at Circuit de la Sarthe in 1969. He'd won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1968 driving the iconic Gulf Ford GT40.
Without Jules' sacrifice we would have lost so many tens of drivers : Hamilton (Verstappen crash at Monza), Guanyu Zhou (Silverstone crash) among many, many others besides this 2022 season. His death saved so many others as it was his death path truly raised awareness of the dangers of F1, without him there would be no halo - and off course the tragic death of Hubert also helped the cause. RIP young men, you died for so many others after you.
@Subie 69B I think Vettel would still have been at Ferrari then, most likely LeClerc would've replaced Seb last year and Sainz would still be at McLaren. Would've really interesting to see how the grid would be had this not happened
Man I really like how distinct your thumbnails are. The video quality is there as is the writing.. but man it's refreshing to see an actually new thumbnail style.
People will ask: "why bring this up again after so many years?" Answer; b/c his name hasn't been mentioned much and he deserves to be remembered. His death led to safety measures F1 uses now. Please watch a vid of the impact, to know why a travesty of negligence his unnecessary death was . . .green flag with that piece of machinery on track during rain . . . .as unnecessary as Senna's accident that cost him his life. Remember this amazing young driver, and Antoine Hubert . . .Rest In Peace guys.
We went to Suzuka for the Japanese GP a few years after Jules' passing, and there was a small memorial near the Dunlop curve where fans left flowers. Nearly brought me to tears. He may be gone, but hopefully he is not forgotten.
Seeing such a great driver get ready to sign with one of the best teams on the grid and die in one of the slowest teams on the grid makes his death even sadder. We miss you, Jules.
Some people forget Jules was Charles’ godfather, I’m pretty sure with Jules’ guidance Charles could’ve been much better than he is today and Jules could have been a star today.
Your sudden drop into the incident that happen to Jules was sudden, but that’s how it was, sudden. Whether it was intentional or not to have a sudden drop into reality, it worked. While I never had the pleasure to witness Jules race I hold a high respect for the history and the potential surrounding not only Jules but other races who lost their lives, on and off the track.
Gasly narrowly avoided disaster in the 2022 Japanese GP not long ago. And because of a tractor crane present, he was also furious by the carelessness of the officials having disregarded the tragedy that took away Jules' life.
My F1 Buff friend rated Jules a lot and i remembered his name very well, when i heard of the crash and his death, i could not believe it, life could be such a turn around sometimes, May his soul rest in peace and hope Charles fulfill his God Father Uncle's Dream.
Man I just love your unique thumbnails and the video quality and how you narrate.. It really feels like I am watching a high quality documentary and maybe you should start making documentaries! Well classy video RIP JB17
I'm here after the Suzuka race in 2022. It were the same conditions and almost the same thing happened to Gasly. If Gasly was 2 meters to the left he would have been most likely dead. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!
RIP Jules, forever missed. Motorsport is cruel. Without him though who knows what the state of safety would be like in formula one. Such a sad day that was, I remember it so vividly
i loved the guy, he raced under my lucky number and the fact that he died on my birthday killed me. he was one of the first drivers i loved since i had recently started to watch motorsports
I remember my mom telling me he died and I was probably 10 at the time it effected me so much, I remember crying a lot after I heard the news because I'd never experienced anyone close to me or anyone looked up to pass away and for someone I looked up to the most to die was so upsetting for me, it is sad we lost such a great driver and it is upsetting to think how hard it must have been for his family his friends and his team. RIP Jules.
I've seen Jules' accident (and couldn't sleep that night), then the announcement of his passing in July 2015, and a month later, in August 2015, Justin Wilson's accident at Pocono 500. A freaking nose cone hitting his head. The immediate response from both F1 and Indy to think and create any solution (which would become the Halo for F1 and Aeroscreen for Indy) was nice, though it was unfortunate to be due to losing drivers. Sir, you made me tear on this video. Great piece.
I saw him at the pool of the hotel we were staying at the day after the Singapore Grand Prix in 2014, 2 weeks before the Japanese GP, and I should've spoken to him.
Jules accident triggered changes in regulations such as the VSC and the halo; that is part of his legacy, which has saved many lives after his tragic accident
He died on 17th July 2015, not 25th. And you could also have told, that on the day before he crashed, before it was announced, that Vettel is going to left Red Bull and also that it's said that he's going to Ferrari, which is the reason, why he was announced on the 5th Octobre 2014 to drive for Sauber, what never happened. And Vettel also dedicated his win in Hungary to Bianchi.
I thank you for this video, I didn't find enough material for myself to make the situation clear. You made this far easier for me and of course it is a very very sad story but one which makes everyone think. It is really important to study these events to learn always be conscious of the beauty but also the danger of this wonderful sport. Wish the best for his family and friends for the painful loss and good luck for their future.
Amazing video, thank you for doing such an insightful video into Jules. May I suggest that for the next video following this format, perhaps consider covering Anotine Hubert?
it is very sad that jules passed away so soon but somehow it is nice to see that at least it is his godson that took his place at ferrari when kimi retired
I remember how sombre the aftermath of the race was. Since the incident was not caught on camera and the full details were yet to be disclosed, did not think it was serious to this extent at the time. I wasn't very active on social media back in 2014 so I didnt really keep tabs on his recovery. Only read about his death from a newspaper article an year later and it came as a shock to me I thought if its been this long surely he would survive.
I remember the sombre aftermath as well. The lack of information really didn't sit well with me. All I knew at the time was that something really bad must have happened to Bianchi, as the crash wasn't broadcast. Later that day I saw some amateur footage of the crash (I had to find out what had happened) and then I knew he wouldn't survive. Easily the worst day in Formula 1 since 1 May 1994.
I remember seeing the accident on TV, I was little at the time and didn't understand the full situation, I just remember seeing that car drift off in something that wasn't on camera or isn't recorded in my brain, hearing of his death, many years later made me so sad, and everytime I hear his story, that image pops up, and it almost brings me to tears every time, seeing something so tragic not understanding what it actually meant, shakes me
If Jules was alive today, he would’ve been a multiple times world champion. It’s sad to see such skillful drivers have their lives taken away before they show their true potential. Rest In Peace, Jules Bianchi 🕊
His drive in Monaco was stuff of legends, I curse fate for taking this man from this world, he would have been top-notch and surely a title contender. May he rest at peace
Having recovery vehicles active on the track while race cars were still on the track was always beyond stupid. Martin Brundle would always mention his fear of a crash occurring with the recovery vehicle whenever one would appear on track. Should of been red flagged.
he was the new and young Michel Schumacher, he was an amazing and fast driver but just didn't have enough time to show the world it. Rest in peace Jules
To this day I don't understand why the tractor was brought out so soon when the cars on track were still going at a decent speed in those conditions :(
This is the reason why No F1 driver can use the number 17 in respect for Bianichi and unfortunately as cruel as it can be the only way to recover is forward.
It’s a sad to see such a young driver like Jules die, he was such an amazing driver just imagine what Leclerc was going through at that time (and then him losing his farther and Hubert years later) but his legacy lives on and I’m sure Leclerc is doing him proud by representing Ferrari #ForzaJules #JB17

@@rainman6090 I think he would have been there either in 2014 or around 2016-2017, and in those years Charles wasn't even in F1
Gasly's close-call brought me here.
He's the reason I support Charles so much, feels like we are supporting Jules too, may he rest in peace.
I can only imagine what him and Leclerc at Ferrari would've been like.
@Subie 69B I think Vettel would still have been at Ferrari then, most likely LeClerc would've replaced Seb last year and Sainz would still be at McLaren. Would've really interesting to see how the grid would be had this not happened
"They won in Spa they win in Monza!"
He would never have made it to Ferrari.
@Subie 69B Unfortunately these are only dreams...
@@hoya1178 Ferrari themselves admitted they already pointed Jules as Kimi's replacement after Kimi's contract ended.
Man I really like how distinct your thumbnails are. The video quality is there as is the writing.. but man it's refreshing to see an actually new thumbnail style.
Thanks legend I appreciate it! 🙏🏽
@@MadeByPerspective No, u.
Who is here after Gasly drove passed a tractor at the Japanese GP
Still get chills from this. Especially after what happened today.. Another tractor at the Japanese GP **sighs**
RIP Jules Bianchi ❤ 🕊
Yes, and the godson he taught and guided so much took his place 😢 but I'm relieved Charles remembering Jules in the happy memories
Great content mate ! Love it as always, you have really upped your thumbnail game !
Thanks mate much appreciated 🙏🏽
Gasly narrowly avoided disaster in the 2022 Japanese GP not long ago. And because of a tractor crane present, he was also furious by the carelessness of the officials having disregarded the tragedy that took away Jules' life.
My F1 Buff friend rated Jules a lot and i remembered his name very well, when i heard of the crash and his death, i could not believe it, life could be such a turn around sometimes, May his soul rest in peace and hope Charles fulfill his God Father Uncle's Dream.
I never realized how much Jules looks like Charles...
And then to see the Formula E car crane *on track* as the cars were passing right by during the weekend just gone too. Disgraceful.
Man I just love your unique thumbnails and the video quality and how you narrate.. It really feels like I am watching a high quality documentary and maybe you should start making documentaries!
Well classy video
RIP JB17
Thanks mate much appreciated 🙏🏽
After what nearly happened to Pierre Gasly today at Suzuka, one has to wonder if anyone learned from this tragedy, doesn't look like it though.
thanks for making this video
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
I find myself thinking of Jules and what could have been quite often. May he rest in peace. ❤
I saw him at the pool of the hotel we were staying at the day after the Singapore Grand Prix in 2014, 2 weeks before the Japanese GP, and I should've spoken to him.
I've read somewhere a comment similar to yours. Have you ever wrote it to elsewhere too?
So close yet so far..
Sunday shows the FIA has learned literally nothing.
Jules accident triggered changes in regulations such as the VSC and the halo; that is part of his legacy, which has saved many lives after his tragic accident
TH-cam recommending me this few days after the 2022 Japanese gp… thankfully history didn’t repeat itself
Pretty much the entire grid had a Sauber contract for 2015...
May his soul RIP. He was a pure gem.💙
Excellent video and very well put together and narrated, great work
Just wanted to say great videos, a lot of effort in these videos, great channel thank you
Tragic story that you handled with dignity and respect, beautifully done.
Couldn’t believe this happened again in Suzuka 2022 again. Such a reckless thing to happen😠
Somehow this almost happened again in 2022. Incredible.
Thanks to pure luck Gasly didnt have to join his friend this soon. What a shame FIA
I knew him well. Worked with him for a few years in Marussia F1. Super nice guy. It was a tragic day when we lost him. Lots of Talent.
Amazing video, thank you for doing such an insightful video into Jules.
May I suggest that for the next video following this format, perhaps consider covering Anotine Hubert?
Martin Brundle predicted this accident for years. Could’ve been so easily avoided.
Love your content!
it is very sad that jules passed away so soon but somehow it is nice to see that at least it is his godson that took his place at ferrari when kimi retired
Mad that the main thing pushed through in F1 after his accident, the Halo, probably saved Leclerc's life too
I remember how sombre the aftermath of the race was.
Still miss him.
Always will 🕊
We all do
Imagine if Charles Leclerc and Jules Bianchi both drove for Ferrari together 🥺
Who else is here after the 2022 japenese gp?
FIA made the same mistake in the same track I can’t believe this
I remember seeing the accident on TV, I was little at the time and didn't understand the full situation, I just remember seeing that car drift off in something that wasn't on camera or isn't recorded in my brain, hearing of his death, many years later made me so sad, and everytime I hear his story, that image pops up, and it almost brings me to tears every time, seeing something so tragic not understanding what it actually meant, shakes me
If Jules was alive today, he would’ve been a multiple times world champion. It’s sad to see such skillful drivers have their lives taken away before they show their true potential. Rest In Peace, Jules Bianchi 🕊
I have a tattoo of the Number 17 on my shoulder. People ask me what its for and I get to tell someone new all about the amazing person Jules
Hey Pers, have you ever thought about making a video on the lotus scandal of 2011?
Possibly 😄
@@MadeByPerspective Looking forward to it, really enjoyed this video pers
@@MadeByPerspective I'll take that as a yes
Lotus and Lotus/Caterham in 2011:
*2 Spiderman pointing meme*
His drive in Monaco was stuff of legends, I curse fate for taking this man from this world, he would have been top-notch and surely a title contender. May he rest at peace
Having recovery vehicles active on the track while race cars were still on the track was always beyond stupid. Martin Brundle would always mention his fear of a crash occurring with the recovery vehicle whenever one would appear on track.
Should of been red flagged.
Thanks for this.
R.I.P Jules. #17 for ever.
didn't get to watch f1 that year RIP
This will be trending again after this weekends cluster with gasly
Well made video man. Well done.
He really deserved the world. RIP🕊
I remember the day he passed away, I remember crying. It’s a sad and very real reminder that motorsport is dangerous even to this day.
I highly doubt we will ever see another death in f1 history. If he had the halo on his car that day he would be with us still
he was the new and young Michel Schumacher, he was an amazing and fast driver but just didn't have enough time to show the world it.
Rest in peace Jules
Don't make stuff up, he was not the "new Michael Schumacher" he was never close to that level at all.
so sad man still miss him
RIP Jules, Never Forget
Charles will win the championship and make Jules, Antoine and his father proud
Not this year
@@louisbeerreviews8964 he’s leading by a bunch of points rn👀
Rest in Peace, Jules.
To this day I don't understand why the tractor was brought out so soon when the cars on track were still going at a decent speed in those conditions :(
This is the reason why No F1 driver can use the number 17 in respect for Bianichi and unfortunately as cruel as it can be the only way to recover is forward.
I love your videos man. Can you please do one for Hubert? R.I.P
Never forgotten 🌹
It’s a sad to see such a young driver like Jules die, he was such an amazing driver just imagine what Leclerc was going through at that time (and then him losing his farther and Hubert years later) but his legacy lives on and I’m sure Leclerc is doing him proud by representing Ferrari #ForzaJules #JB17
The saddening twist is that the halo broughtin after his death has most likely saved others in the paddock and more strikingly Charles leclerc. id have loved to have seen jules up front fighting for wins but the safety features brought in have been mega.
#JB17
He was like a martyr 😢
🙏🙏🕊🕊 r.i.p Jules
I can't believe its been almost 8 years since his crash.
most wanted video since a long time , i wanted to know the story so much
I remember watching this race when I was 7. Fucking unbelievable and unfortunate to crash under the crane. He definitely had at least the same amount of talent as Verstappen, and he could have multiple WDC:s by now. RIP Jules.
RIP Jules
Its sad that it requires someone to experience this to make the changes necessary. Its very good that we have the things in place which we have today but its a tradgedy that it requires this young, talented and prosphering man for it to be put in place.
R.I.P.
Yeah about that
@@Anohaxer apparently the FIA doesn’t learn.
I always imagine how Charles felt after everything, when I hear the names of Jules Bianchi and Antoine Hubert. Charles lost his Godfather, Father and one of his closest friends in a span of 5 years. For most people only one is enough to trigger a depression. Guy has nerves of steel.
Charles also lost his father, i felt so bad with him, Charles is absolutley talent, if Ferrari can make great F1 car
and he still races. guy's a madlad
@@devotedtospeed ofc he still race, what u expect?? For him to just quit??

Whenever Charles crashes, I get extremely anxious, specially knowing how he lost 2 people he was extremely close to. I wish Charles all the best, and maybe one day, a championship for all his hard work, dedication and perseverance.
