Brian's Mopar is the perfect driver. I wouldn't change a thing, would you?

Brings back lots of memories. My dad had a 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury 2 convertable that started out with a 383ci. It ended up with a highly modified 440 etc and was a screamer.

I bet it was, were you old enough to drive that Mopar?

I thought I was looking at a 426 B Block dual Point Wedge when I saw this one take off!

Awesome car. I was one year out of high school when this model was in the showrooms.
This is definitely modified. Back then the biggest engine available for this model as 383.
I'm surprised the hood emblem does not have a number on it. But maybe the 318 didn't get one?
As a joke he might consider getting one that has the number 383.

I bought a 1962 Dodge Polara in 65. It had a 361 four barrel, dual exhaust. That was a neat car. Sold it when I got drafted.
In Oct. 68 I bought a 69 road runner. Took it to a guy who tuned cars. He put new weights in the dual point distributor and rejetted the carb. It was way faster than factory. I drove that till I got married in March of 69. My wife could not push in the clutch. So back to the dealer I went and there was a 68 Charger there with auto trans. Loved that car. Drove it many years. I had the tuner guy work it over. It was hot for a 383. She had trouble seeing over the dash so we also bought a 68 four door satellite 318 LOL. She liked that car, easier to see out of and drive. She needed a booster seat in the charger. After kids arrived we bought a full size van with 360. I had it tuned by the same guy. He rejetted the carb, modified the distributor and installed a better air cleaner with cold air induction. Told me I needed dual exhaust to get the most out of it. After the dual exhaust was on it felt like it had another 30 hp over factory. That was the last of my "hot rods".
Now I live ten miles from the nearest town and need a Jeep to get through in the winter. At least my Jeep is kind of special. It has diesel engine, lots of torque.
