Apple pays the man in the glasses almost $300,000 to tell us that Foxconn isn't that bad. From Wikipedia: "On January 13, 2012, Apple became a dues paying corporate member of the FLA. The amount Apple pays the FLA in dues is not public information. Publicly available records indicate that the FLA's president and CEO Auret van Heerden [Man in the video] has an annual base salary of $259,359.00."

I don’t know if you know anything about human rights in China. But I bet those employees were terrified to tell the truth.

The CCP could care less when a factory worker badmouths his company and capitalism, the Taiwanese company however will definitely care.

Is this really Apple or Foxconn's fault? I use to manufacture in China and sell to large retailers. These factories have to meet international standards to sell to American retailers, and you can bet Apple is under even more scrutiny given how big their market is. These jobs are all consensual jobs, with people traveling hundreds of miles to line up to work for Foxconn because its the best option for them as they are in extreme poverty. The standard contract for Foxconn employees is 40 hours a week, and they get get overtime pay with a maximum allowed work week of 60 hours.
This is more of an indictment of China than Foxconn. I might jump off the factory roof too if I had to leave my family, room with a bunch of factory employees and assemble iPhones all day. But its a choice. They chose to work their consensually and the factory is under constant international audit for labor practices.

It's American companies that are paying those Chinese companies so that's why it's an issue. Because in America we should be against these types of "almost slave like" labors. On top of that, Apple preaches to the American public about moral and stuff. You don't get to do that while you're products are manufactured like this!
