Thanks for the memories. In my youth. The 2nd car I ever bought was a '73 Dodge Challenger. Rust free out of Arizona. It had the stock 340 high po engine. It was yellow with the black strobe stripes down the sides. Black vinyl roof. Black interior. The radio was stock. But it was kind of a strange set up. It was left of the driver. Close to the door & was put in vertical position. A Dodge thing? It had the 727 trans. I think they were kind of un common with the small bell housing for small blocks. You would think it would of had the 904. But it was stock. Dodge thing in the 70's? Dyan 60 sure grip rear end. I bought it in '79. Who ever had it before me. Replaced the stock rally wheels with slotted mags. But that was cool. Just what we done back then. He had them old school yellow upper & lower traction bars on it. That was cool. Of course I was young. Didn't know how to tune a carb. But I felt like I was always fighting that Carter Theramal Quaid.

Happy to have brought back those memories for you. It's great how certain cars can strike a chord like that with people. Cheers

My first car was a 74 Challenger with a freshly rebuilt 383 out of a 69 Roadrunner, I wish I never would have sold that car , watching this brought back some good ole memories for sure !!

I'm glad seeing the video here brought back memories of your uncle. Maybe one day you can find a green 340 for yourself to carry on the tradition and feel a little more connected to your relative. Special cars have a way of connecting people.

@@gearheadsyndrome his 340 is still around but the guy who bought it haven't driven it in years so it will need a restoration like my dad's 1974 Opel Ascona A 1.9 😅

For God's sake take those rubber bumpers off and ditch those fog lights too
