Shoutout to the guitarist, all their riffs and solos are so catchy to me it's crazy. Amazing band but seriously hats off to him!

The very best music is like watching a band collectively ride the crest of an amazing wave. It almost doesn't even matter what song they play, their tone, their lyrics etc - what matters is the magic that comes from being right there on the edge of that wave. Enjoy the ride guys, this is fantastic.

When she sings, she looks like she can't remember the lyrics but they come to her mind on the very last second and then she recites them out.

when you can make out the lyrics they're great. her apparent spontaneity is part of her performance and it works.

Thank you for shining a spotlight on all these incredible British post-punk bands. This is one my favorite regional scenes right now, and it makes me happy to see bands like Dry Cleaning and PVA getting the attention they deserve.
When possible im going to move back to London just because of this burgeoning post-punk scene alone.

they are breathtaking live and such fucking nice people too, totally agreed, since the record came out they've been my favorite band in a long time. Florence is a revelation as a vocalist.

Love this band...the musicians are seriously vibing me in a way I like...the "narrator" looks to be on the first stages of a vampiric transformation...I shall endeavor to inquire more into this band...
"That seems like a lot of garlic" is a line in the last tune....
these are easily the most listenable thing out at the moment. its almost like a car crash and everyone slows down to see it but its meant to be that way.
Which is to say: transitory. As I reckon, a very contemporary feeling.

this bands like the worlds most deadpan Jodie Comer impersonator reading throwaway (in the best way possible) Jenny Holtzer fragments over what i can only describe as immaculate post rock. huge fan
Yess! I thought I was the only one who thought she looked like Jodie Comer. I feel like she almost goes into this trance while performing. There's something in her eyes where she just kind of glazes over and the words come out of her while the lads slash angular riffs in the background with a solid groove.

Refreshingly brilliant, great musicianship, love their vibe. Excellent production as usual from KEXP.
this mix of rage and melancholy is rarely heard these days. the hope in rock is renewed with DC.
Inspired guitar playing.
It's very good. Very creative. Not depending on much in the way of sonic manipulation, it's just extremely creative work that somehow both really draws you in but manages not to distract from the vocalist. It's actually a good counter balance to her very laid back delivery I guess you could say.

yes, it reminds me of when i didn't know how to play guitar at 13, but knew that if i tuned certain strings a certain may, and mashed my finger on the fretboard, then moved it at different intervals, I felt I was "making music".

I saw Dry Cleaning last night at the Wedgwood Rooms, and the gig was everything I'd hoped for from a live performance. There was a powerful sound and juxtaposed calm put forward by the band. After two years in lockdown, music, dry ice, and lighting was medicine for the soul. The support PVA is one to watch out for too. Ty DC ✌

Slint meets Pixies with a touch of Sonic Youth and Pere Ubu. The kids are all right.
Slint is the perfect band to compare them to. Very few bands have even dared try the talk sing. I think this is referred to as sprechgesang. They should be so proud, that is 4 amazing and iconic artist you just lumped them in with.
