Luke!!! You are the best man!! I call you, my storm brother! Lol. I've never seen anyone besides myself who lives for a storm like you! You are the best.👍
"Camping through a thunderstorm sounds intense and exhilarating! It’s impressive how you’re handling the rain, lightning, and wind. Stay safe and keep sharing these incredible experiences!"
We celebrate the fourth for what independence we have left in this country and to show our love and appreciation to our fallen soldiers that made shaped this country
This video is fantastic. I'm loving it. I'm with you Luke. This is my weather. Rain, thunderstorm, lightning ⚡. I could have this weather everyday.🌧️🌩️⛈️
Luke I love your instructional videos! I found the following online. With or without children, I love fireworks … Fireworks crossed the ocean to America with early settlers, who set off the first recorded display in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1608. Then, in 1777, Americans celebrated their independence with fireworks, starting the Fourth of July tradition we still see today. These matter to me, whereas not so much at New Years. Keep doing your storm camping. They’re great!!
Hi Luke! Thanks for the COOL (well not for you in that tent!) adventure! It was a graphic illustration why all that fabric is a BAD idea in temperate climes. You could see the air trying to flow through, but the fabric just bellowed toward the inside of the tent! No wonder you had to have the door open! I am forever stumped why at least two times a year (4th of July and New Years) that people stupidly want to blow themselves (and maybe someone else, too) up. . .I work nights, and pretty much only have these holidays off only twice in seven years. So I always have to drive to work just after the sun has gone down. And all you hear is popping and explosions. This year all the smoke from those dangerous things was like a low hanging fog, as I drove to work! INCREDIBLE! Leave the pyrotechnics to the EXPERTS. I guess, though, our American freedoms allow you to be as stupid as you want to. Amazing.
You know exactly what you are doing, it would be nice to see you have a Great camp without any drama, just a chilled out camp! It seems you always have a bad camp, even though you are parked close by. Just show us a nice chilled relaxing camp out .... Please
In New Zealand We sometimes get preemptive flood warnings when we get atmospheric rivers which a narrow bands of super concentrated water Vapor and dump huge amounts of water Live your work Luke
I absolutely love your videos like this.. nothing like the anticipation of a storm, smelling the rain in the distances which has quite hit your area yet, hearing the thunder getting closer..smelling the pine, the leaves wrestling in the trees…brilliant..thanks for this! Fantastic
In Maryland when big storms are coming flash flood warnings are issued all the time. It's too let people know too pay attention to your surroundings and watch the conditions around you. The more self aware you are the safer you are.
Oh what an awesome statement at the beginning you can't stumble upon adventure you have to find it beautiful how many people understand the depths of that statement if you want adventure you have to prepare and plan for it ❤
WOW! This is my absolute favorite kind of camping. A nice long thunderstorm . Nothing like it! I like the pre- made meals you make. Although I've never tried them, they look scrumptious. Especially the biscuits and gravy ones. There's just something about camping all night in the woods with a nice cozy tent setting with thunder and lightning ⚡ So relaxing! Thanks for sharing Luke! P.S. I want to meet Drew. He sounds like he liked to take chances! LOL😂😊
I love that tent. I live in NY State and I mostly backpack in the early spring and fall. The last 2 times I used it the temps dipped down to 35 and 44 at night and it was great. I've never used it in the summer, so I'll keep that in mind. Great insight
The shields held Captain! Looks like a great thunderstorm as I share your adventurous spirit. The temp dropped really fast too! I couldn't help but notice how your watch alarm sounded like one of the bird chirping. Another enjoyable and informative video Luke and great catching up with you!
I am an avid follower of you and Susie! I can’t help but laugh watching you enjoy your storms. I bet you and your brother had a great childhood in the woods. Keep the good times and videos rolling❤️
I have to say that LUKE YOU ARE A STAR anyone who can drink coffee like you do 3 sachets I love. my coffee but not that strong much respect buddy Great video as always
I throughly enjoyed this adventure with you. I watch you all the time but in my mind one of your best. I did enjoy your stories of Drew. I could literally see your mind ticking over of some of the antics the pair of you got up to. Thanks for the laughs.
Thank you for a nice camping video. I loved it. I’m glad your tent didn’t leak. You mentioned Montana. I love Montana, my husband and I go out west to Montana to fly fish. We always have a good time while there. Take care see you at your next video.
That's the same weekend I chose to backpack at my local state park. 111 heat index, 99% humidity, and that storm system. I wasn't dry the entire trip. I was either soaked because of rain or sweat. The only time I was dry was in the tent staying still. Funny thing, I sacrificed the remaining power from my power bank to keep my small camp fan running. It made all the difference.
Springfield Missouri, we always get a flash flood warning around here, when we have rain coming. Good video, I really enjoy these storm camping videos.
if you are going to make mocha in a coffee maker put the hot chocolate in the carafe, then let the coffee percolate into it. Very good stuff. Love the trip, camping, forest, mountain and rain. It is special. I also appreciate that you bring camping to us with this channel, the personal stuff and bashing other You tubers never happens here. The way it should be.
I like the videos, Luke...I think you have a few jealous people who are definitely getting notifications for your videos since they're the first to comment, lmao 😂
Just wanna say thank u for ur videos that has actually inspired me to start doing camping videos so once again thank u for ur inspiration wouldn't have ever thought of doing something like this until now maybe 1 day I came be as good as u and inspire someone else so thank u and continue with ur great content
I have seen preemptive flood warnings. I used to live in a flood plain along the Missouri River. Usually the flood warning was preceded by flooding further up on the river or a release of water from a dam up north to prevent flooding in a more populated area.
We have flood warnings before a thunderstorm where I live in Minnesota. We have two rivers that come together in our area; one of them is the Mississippi. I enjoy watching your videos. You take me places where I have never been and probably will never be. I did, however, spend days camping with the military where I slept on the ground in a pup tent. I would not be able to do that today. Old age has snuck up on me and grabbed me in its clutches. Such is life! I would like to invite you to try camping in Minnesota some time. We have some really beautiful places here, such as the boundary waters and the headwaters of the Mississippi. We have areas that are pure wilderness. Try us out sometime!
Watching video from three years ago battling the wind driven dirt of Utah in the thundra truck. I love it especially because you have sweet Susie with you. I love you guys stories you tell also.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think we need to give Susie some credit after all when you come home with wet tips and wet tents and wet clothes she has to put up with all that and as you said before she does so beautifully. But I just wanted to give her some credit too. She’s amazing.
We lucked out with our old tent. Two person pop up bought in 1980 for $240. Same tent now is about $80. We camped east west across the country twice. Then north south about a dozen times or more. Never a leak. And we camped in some real frog-stranglers especially on the prairie. Glad we did it back then cuz we don’t have the wherewithal now.
I suggest you get wet and cool off. Change if you don't want to drive home wet. Great video, so sad about the man and the fireworks. Blessings to you and Susie. Here in the midwest we get flood warnings all the time. I guess they know when rivers or lakes will crest or groundwater will swell.
Not sure if its just the weather folks in charge of the alerts or not, but here in Arkansas we always seem to get preemptive flood, storm and tornado warnings to our phones. Maybe you got an Arkansas boy running your weather alerts now. Great video Luke!
You've mentioned, at times, that you don't have cell coverage on some of your hikes or that it is intermittent. Could you maybe demonstrate whether or not a NOAA weather radio would be useful as a backup the next time or two that you find yourself in that situation, even if you don't expect bad weather?
People around here don't mess AROUND on the fourth, a few fireworks....but mainly bullets and a LOT of them. I know for a fact there are two actual cannons within two blocks, shake the effing house.
Rain camp! I enjoy these adventures. I'm surprised that Naturehike Cloud 2 tent was so hot, not a good summer tent. I'm looking forward to the Montana adventure with Suzie.
high everything but its really good haha that was funny xD thank you for the video i enjoyed it so much just lishening to you and hearing the rain and thunders its just what i need for a relaxing evening
I love your Adventures, I love your Reviews. You eat those freeze-dried meals....Why not cook your own self? You have all the capabilites. Keep up the good work.
You’ve just reminded me about July 4th, made me think back to when we lived in Colorado we would get invited to July 4th parties, we’d have great fun, just seemed funny. 😂🇬🇧
This is my comfort channel ✨🌧️♥️
Luke!!! You are the best man!! I call you, my storm brother! Lol. I've never seen anyone besides myself who lives for a storm like you! You are the best.👍
"You can't stumble upon a life of adventure. You have to create it." Darn right!

Thank you for finally stirring your coffee with a spoon 😄
I have loved thunder and lightning storms since i was a kid.
Being able to get your camp set up before a storm is the best. Everything should stay dry and you get to enjoy the rain and wind.
I’m happy just the fact that you took us along! You are my trip down the forest of my ancient memory experiences in the bush…!!
My prostrate cancer has gotten worse - thanks for the welcome diversion

Hi from the UK. Great video mate, our summer has been awful this year, constant rain. I also love the calm before a storm.
Thank you for a nice camping video. I loved it. I’m glad your tent didn’t leak. You mentioned Montana. I love Montana, my husband and I go out west to Montana to fly fish. We always have a good time while there. Take care see you at your next video.
I agree. I love that period between "Oh ya it's gonna storm, and yep it's storming".
That's the same weekend I chose to backpack at my local state park. 111 heat index, 99% humidity, and that storm system. I wasn't dry the entire trip. I was either soaked because of rain or sweat. I was so impressed with the telescopic light, and here in Canada it’s double the price. That is quite the storm!! Have fun!!! ❤
Springfield Missouri, we always get a flash flood warning around here, when we have rain coming. Good video, I really enjoy these storm camping videos.
Love a great thunder storm.😁Thanks Luke.🤙🏻

The way it should be.
You need to get some trail markers that say “ Luke slept here” 😊
Everybody should have a friend like Drew! More of the best memories come from there!
I like the videos, Luke...I think you have a few jealous people who are definitely getting notifications for your videos since they're the first to comment, lmao 😂
having a childhood troublemaker friends like Drew is a blessing actually because it brought so much fun memories into our life...
Here in Texas we always get preemptive flood warnings... just about every storm system that comes through. Loved the thunderstorm.
Some of your Best work Luke. Thank you.

I enjoy these kind of videos, much more than the Quiet Place Adventures. You're talking to us so we can learn. ☺️
I love the color of your backpack against the backdrop of the forest floor. ❤😊❤
I would argue that any food cooked while camping is better than food at home.
I have seen preemptive flood warnings. I used to live in a flood plain along the Missouri River. Usually the flood warning was preceded by flooding further up on the river or a release of water from a dam up north to prevent flooding in a more populated area.
Brother Luke! Stay safe out there! Have an awesome adventure in Montana!! That’s awesome country! Strength and honor brother! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️👊🏿

Loving the video. I love rain and thunder, lightning storms. Why you didn't lower one side of the tarp to prevent the rain from coming in on you ❤
Nevermind, I just heard North Carolina! Thanks.
Awesome video as always! Feel like I am there with you!
It was great, I had a blast with you.

You eat those freeze-dried meals....Why not cook your own self? You have all the capabilites.
Keep up the good work.
Cooking from scratch on a camping trip is time consuming, space consuming and makes a mess to be cleaned up.
I had an old car,no reverse.so I had to make sure I could just drive straight forward. Sometimes I had to whip a dough nut to park in the outdoor lot.
Hahahaha!!! The good old days. I remember them well! I think we all had one of those cars!😂
I had a van like that!🎉
I like hearing your old high-school stories. Do you snd drew still talk to this day?
Yes! I was wondering the same. I wish he'd share more of those stories.
You’ve just reminded me about July 4th, made me think back to when we lived in Colorado we would get invited to July 4th parties, we’d have great fun, just seemed funny. 😂🇬🇧
Good video. Hunkering is the best of activities.
I love this channel so much!
I live in the Ozarks in Missouri. Every time we get a big storm we get flash flood warnings 1 to 2 hours ahead of the rain.
Thank you, my friend,
Buckle up you are in for a ride my friend. Stay safe out there and enjoy coffee time.
