After seeing my mom disabled by her 50s due to her body just breaking down, my grandmother in a wheelchair in a nursing home, now that I'm in my 40s, mobility and strength are really starting to get high on my priority list.
I finished 6 weeks of doing this routine and I see an immense difference in my physique and performance ! Thank you so much!! Do you have a recommendation how to proceed after completing this ?
Summer, I just wanted to say, your genuine-ness, and full-heart is what sets your content apart from what could feel like a sea of people and information these days. It is very much appreciated. Thank you for this and all of what you are doing in the calisthenics world. Wishing you the best going forward and to a wonderful 2024 for you.
Thinking of finally making a switch from weightlifting to calisthenics! It's a bit scary for me (esp since I've only been lifting for a year so I only just got comfortable with that). It's also intimidating going into this as a girl (I had to work extremely hard to get to the benchmark of strength/ still working on it for many exercises, progress is a lot slower compared to guys which is a little discouraging💔sigh) but it'll hopefully make it that much more rewarding. Thanks for being so helpful and being great representation in this male-dominated athletic field!
this is exactly what I needed thank you summer the way you talk is so good and clarifying like we know calisthenics it's hard but you showed me it's not impossible you just have to put the work in and persist! slow but steady wins the race
so glad your content came into my feed ! great info and demos your techniques are safe but not easy without good kinesthetic awareness I'm 70, scoliosis, post lumbar fusion last jan., but I'm going for it pistol squat in one year😵💫
Awesome video, thank you so much! It is really helpful for me. I was always training very chaotically and for last few days, I am following your videos and plans and it feels so good, I really feel like progressing and I feel more motivated. Thanks once again, you are a huge inspiration!
With my Aerial silks training on circus we always stretch dynamically with the pancake stretche as part of the warming up. And I also setted this as a flexibility goal lol. Already a great video though😄🤩
@hereiswisdom wow! Since I wrote this comment I have changed my main style of training. Still working on consistency but I'm getting into more of the locomotion/mobility style now.
Hi summer thank you for this video! I’m having trouble connecting the first half of the video with the second half. In the workout plan, you said to pick a mobility goal, a strength goal and a skill. Which of these things are you doing in the second half of the video? If I want to choose another skill/strength goal, which exercises would I swap out?
I think the first part was more like a template on how to create a program yourself. And then the second part showed the program for the mobility goal of a pancake stretch and the skill of handstand.
did you figure it out because I am so confused on what I am supposed to be doing in the workout even though I have the copy from the bio?? which parts do I replace to match my desired mobility strength and skill?
Thank you so much for all of your videos. Super helpful and I don't feel like I'm doing it alone Just on my journey to first pull up and training for handstands. 😊 Can't wait to see next video 🙂
Thank you so much for this comment! That is exactly how I was hoping people would feel! We could also use a training partner and someone to grow with. Thank you for being here ❤️
@@Summerfunfitness I got hooked on calisthenics after having my third baby and became my hobby every night after kids go to bed. Yeah I don't know anyone around who is training calisthenics so it's nice to be connected through TH-cam and learn from you😊
Thank you so much for these resources! I had a quick question -- when does the warm-up stop and the workout start, or are they integrated together? Thanks!
Hi Summer! Am I correct in understanding that the actual “workout” portion of this routine is not shown and is something that we would need to chose from one of your workout videos?
I thought the bridge was the easiest mobility exercise. I've just always been able to do it. Is that unusual? Or is it dangerous if you don't have enough strength and stability?
When they put the title, how to start calisthenics; then why they don't show people who are actually starting ? Then other people who see this video; will able to guess how things will go and how difficult it is in real life.
Don't ask, don't think, just do sth. If you're a beginner and watch some vids, you see it's pretty hard, even if it's sth easy, but it's not a big deal to just click on a vid and try. Ive decided to do some exercises in my room. I watch a lot of vids every day, I add to my yt playlist sth I liked and then I follow along. That's all. Everyone starts with sth. Everyone was a beginner. What's the point of complaining?
There are some exercises that cross over but I personally wouldn't describe dips, pull-ups, muscle-ups, human flags, front levers or back levers as yoga, so no I do not agree. To my understanding yoga also integrates more of a spiritual practice then just working out.
I've observed about 30 of Summer's videos. If this lady doesn't have a man serving her like a boss I think there is someone who is missing out big time! She's so lovely in every way I can observe.
so let me get this straight, the 1st thing you recommend to beginners is a few poses you need years of Yoga training to pull off? I feel totally encouraged. Thanks

Using the bands to do rows is great. My wife broke her arm and I think this variation will help her greatly to recover her strength.
getting a lot from your videos…. you are an important part of my calisthenics journey . Thank you for all that you do !
Awesome video again thank you. Currently 40 weeks pregnant but can’t wait to get going with this once I’m ready :D!

Summer knows her craft and is skilled at it and is a goddess to boot ! 😊
I was debating a planner and also have some movement goals that I've been ramping up the past 6 months ... so *FINE* I ordered a planner! :D

Thank you for this! I am just starting and was looking for something I can start with that's simple and effective 💖

The free downloadable workout is in the description box
@@Summerfunfitness her question was so cute 🥰
my goal is to be able to do one pull up and the handstand by the end of the year :')
core is not just abs. Abs is for looks, core is functional
thanks babe
Hi what about protein menu? Isn't it a must in order to achieve those goals? Is there a video about what to eat ? Thank u
Usually they say to aim for somewhere between 1.5 g of protein per bodyweight kg and 2.0 g/ kg. Good luck!
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the comment :D
I can't do the split leg kick ups :(
Im eating chips right now
This cracked me up😂
I thought the bridge was the easiest mobility exercise. I've just always been able to do it. Is that unusual? Or is it dangerous if you don't have enough strength and stability?
Do you have more mobility videos or a stretch that I can do after this workout ?
Can I ask what the swimmers are for?
Do you have any suggestions for bigger guys?... cause calesthenics is impossible for them even if they're athlete
Where can I get that weekly planner pad?
When they put the title, how to start calisthenics; then why they don't show people who are actually starting ? Then other people who see this video; will able to guess how things will go and how difficult it is in real life.

Thanks for motivation.
Do it [anyway rather than complaining]; is better tectic and philosophy..
Hey, I was looking of a planner, whats the name of yours you using in here?
How do we get into this if we can't do literally any of this?
Beautiful ❤
wait, is the exercise a warm up, or is it the main exercise? you said that the mobility should be the warm up, so it's kinda confusing
Oh. She crossed the d instead of the t in "handstand" 1:50. That caught me off guard
So it's basically yoga?
There are some exercises that cross over but I personally wouldn't describe dips, pull-ups, muscle-ups, human flags, front levers or back levers as yoga, so no I do not agree. To my understanding yoga also integrates more of a spiritual practice then just working out.
That thumbnail is sexy.
This is amazing.is possible for you to have Facebook page and connect it your Instagrame? Thnx.
Im not capable😢
A little bit afraid of starting this
You have seriously pretty hair

You are perfect. Flexible and strong. So impressive.
How old are you if I may ask?
😍😍😍
Top woman ABS!

Hmmm, how come your abs look nothing like those in your thumbnail? Photoshop much for clickbait?
