    Been riding my T1500/T1550 for over two years now with a variety of Hyper wheels. What's crazy is even after 4 years of being on the market, this frame is still the best over all the other affordable Chinese frames. It's the only frame I can't see myself selling. And I own the latest Giant Propel and Allez Sprint. Great video kind sir.

      G'Day Patrick, I was just wondering how the T1550 stacks up against the Tavelo (which I already have). I am thinking of getting a new frame. Thanks mate

      @@vietnguyen4312 The T1500 is more aero, more aggressive geometry, and heavier. The Attack is more of an all-around frame with the geometry, and is lighter.

    Great build, mate! Yeah I agree. Riding a bike that you like, that you think looks cool (and I think it looks cool too), makes a HUGE difference to your motivation for riding. Whether you ride for exercise, fun, or profession, having a bike that you enjoy riding is great. Wish I had the cash to build my own carbon bike like this. Settled for a 2nd hand 2014 Boardman SLR 9.8 off facebook marketplace, ha. Absolute DREAM to ride, and I feel cool when riding it.

    Nice to see that you’re happy with your new bike and I totally agree with you that the most important thing is how you feel when you’re riding your bike 🙂 Being 57 years old and sort of done with my racing days I now chase the feeling of the ride. That’s why I am building a steel frame bike for my main bike, but seeing and enjoying your video my next build might just be a Chinese aero frame bike 🙂

    Beautiful bike! I built up my own bike based on a custom titanium frame last spring (and upgraded it to 105 Di2 at Christmas) and absolutely love it. It looks great, is comfortable to ride, and is pretty darned quick as well. It puts a smile on my face every time I ride it, and knowing that I designed the frame, chose all the parts, and put it all together myself makes it even better. And of course, I know that no one will ever show up at a group ride with the exact same bike, and there's something to be said for that too. 😁

    Max, you took the time to research parts, to understand what you didn't like/want in your old bike, sort out the fit etc. It is not a casual exercise, so no surprise that your new steed feels good. But I have to agree, the reward for the time and effort, when you first ride a new build and it lays rest to that little bit of anxiety that chips away at you a little saying ' what if it rides real bad ' is quite euphoric - as well it should be. When you do get out on it in earnest, watch the weather this time of year, but also watch the handling especially the cornering. The deep section wheels may behave quite differently, although good modern designs handle crosswinds very well these days, feel your way a little bit. Also from what you have described , your weight balance will be different between the wheels compared to your old bike, again this will make cornering and to that matter braking a little different especially when first turning in to a corner at speed. It took me about 200 miles to fathom my new build last year, some big surprises for me but all good. IRL challenge... back to imperial and the holy grail of a good club cyclist back in the day... 1hr 25 mile solo TT on a there and back route.... preferably without a dual carriageway!! ( Those wheels will be epically quick, probably second biggest aero gain on any bike second to your actual position)

    • @thewattlife
      @thewattlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man- it was a lot of fun to ride but yes, the weight distribution makes it feel like a whole different riding experience to what I’m used to. Going to spend a whole load of time practising some short sharp turns before I think about taking it Crit racing so that I feel way more comfortable on it.

    i've just done the same thing and upgraded to disc, so was looking out for frame costs. For the spec I wanted, I couldn't get much change out of £7k, so started looking at alternatives. Hambini reviews the T1500 in detail and rates Winspace, the US and Asia markets race on the wheels and frames and now they sponsor a 2nd tier womens cycling team, so they are a real challenger brand when it comes to sub-£4k builds. I think mine was around £3.5k to build, which includes frame, wheels and bars from Winspace, plus BB, saddle, bar tape, cages and Ultega Di2 groupset. Waiting to ride when the weather is a bit better, but looking forward to that. What i will say is that it looks better than my old aero bike (Giant Propel SL) and is sneaking under the weight of that with an XL frame (equivalent to a 58cm/Giant L). Thanks for the review, looks great.

      @thewattlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @thewattlife
      @thewattlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, maybe something for them to think about certainly. But the more expensive frames are responsible for a lot of the RandD which has lead to other brands making frames so well and at a cheaper price. The pro series will always be at the forefront of revolutionising bike design but saying that, i shouldnt imagine anyone will be calling me to ride in the tour this year so im more than happy with a frame like this.

    Amazing I have been using winspace wheels for about 2-3 years and I just got the bars about 1-2 months ago. Quick question what top cap are you using? yours seems to sit nicely inside... mine kind of sits ontop of mine... i like yours more.. can you measure your top cap ?

    • @thewattlife
      @thewattlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I noticed on the bars that there is a small 1mm drop from the top of the space for the steerer tube down to where the top cap is meant to sink so when it came to measuring how much of the fork to cut i added an additional 1mm so i think i ended up cutting 5mm below where i had marked the top of the bars on the fork. This gave me enough room for the top cap to sit inside the space and into thew 1mm gap and pull up onto the bung. Does that make sense?
      @nemixCOD

    • @nemixCOD
      @nemixCOD 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thewattlife yeah makes sense, I have done similar but my top cap still sits above the ingress of 1mm. So what actually happened was my top cap kinda scuffed the paint / clear coat just around the circle of the 1mm gap.. So I was suspicious that my topcap might be a bit bigger than yours. As yours sits nice. Thanks for replying! hope you enjoy the bike!

      Hi!! In the end, I didn't buy it because I also decided to upgrade the groupset to an Ultegra Di2 12V (I currently have the 11v Ultegra Di2) and I needed to save for a few months. The problem is that now the frame is out of stock in the color I want. Anyway, if it were in stock, I would buy size 470 with the 38cm-95mm handlebar. There is a guy on TH-cam who is 174cm tall and has the same setup, this is his channel: www.youtube.com/@Alexpress83.
      My only doubt is about the handlebar length, whether 95 or 105mm. If it were 100mm, that's the one I would buy.
